- sharon (10/5): - This place is amazing so relaxing can't wait to come back Nothing it's perfect

- Teresa (10/5): Chose this place as its close to Hadrians wall. The hot tub is a nice bonus, really comfy bed, everything you need to co - The property is remote but this is why we chose it. It’s on a working farm. Surrounded by cows and sheep, watching the swallows and house martins overhead. It’s idyllic Absolutely can’t think of a negative unless you don’t like farm noise…
- Jackie (9/5): Stunning location , great stay, hot tub - The property was stunning and really warm and cosy. We loved the hot tub and everything was stunning. The bed was very comfortable and we slept very well. As we had dogs , we both felt if the little area out the front would have made the place perfect if it had a fence, as walking with the dogs on leads during the night, every time they wanted to go out , in the winter cold wasn’t ideal . This was just a thought and we loved everything about the property . So not a dislike .

- Bernadette (10/5): Perfect hideaway - My daughter & her partner plus two dogs loved the location, surroundings, & the farm animals. All facilities available & pets catered for. Beautiful coloured decor, comfortable quirky furniture, hot tub & balcony. Hosts accommodating & easily approachable, good communication alround. N/A
- Lousou24 (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyed it very cosy we will be back! - Location was very rural and out of the way perfect for us.
- Kerry (10/5): -
- Chris (10/5): This cosy cottage is a real find, extremely tranquil and cosy, with everything you need for a short stay. The hot tub is - Quiet, cosy, private and tastefully decorated.
- The Scott Family (10/5): - Beautiful property, perfect for me and my daughter for a couple nights. Hot tub was a bonus. Really comfy bed and great shower. Would definitely recommend 👌 Nothing
- danielle (8/5): Beautiful place with amazing views - Location was really good, we loved sitting in the hot tub looking out over the amazing view Bed was little uncomfortable seemed to dip in the middle
- Smith (10/5): Peaceful and relaxing. - The location and property itself were beautiful and serene. The unknown extra charge for my pooch.
- Aspinall (10/5): -
- Gemma (10/5): Feel so relaxed after this break - Gorgeous views

Lovely hot tub
Also a big thankyou to the owners who came and pulled us out with their tractor after my partner carelessly ended up getting the car stuck in a ditch!!
Much appreciated very helpful ☺️ Nothing to not like!!
- Wayne (9/5): - The location and scenery are beautiful, even though you're on a working farm you still get a certain amount of privacy.
- Robyn (10/5): Lovely - We loved how beautifully decorated it was. It had plenty of space for two people and it was a bonus that there were two different beds. The hot tub was great and when the fuse tripped Nicola was straight around and fixed it with no problems! We would definitely return.
- alastair (10/5): - Property was really beautiful and comfortable. Got everything you could need. View from the hottub was great. Bed, kitchen and bathroom were fantastic. Communication was no issue at all and extremely clear.. Road to the property is a farm road(obviously), be aware of some pot holes and cattle grids if you are on a motorcycle
- Catherine (10/5): Two days here and we feel rejuvenated. Thank you - Friendly hosts and spotlessly clean accommodation. Very peaceful if you appreciate the countryside as we do. All good
- Sally (9/5): Excellent holiday, came as a couple with 2 shepherds and picked up my 9 year old on last day from - Very clean, really well furnished and well finished. Excellent hot tub. Good parking. Dog friendly! Smelly drains.
- richardson (10/5): - The place is lovely warm and welcoming it was easy to find we had a lovely time That we was here only two nights
- Sanchia74 (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyable in the peace and quiet of the countryside - The location was perfect as we had just gotten married and wanted a quiet time away. The working farm goings on were fab - sheep & cows being moved about & the sheep dogs herding them. While we sat in the hot tub on the balcony. We thought as it was a dog friendly property there was a garden - there was but it was shared - the property had a section of grass that if it were enclosed it would have been better/perfect.
This wasn't an issue though just an idea.
- Leandra (10/5): Delightful country stay - Lovely property in a great location. Rural, but not far to drive to anything you might want.
The farm was active but jot disruptive, and the cows were very sweet to watch.
- David (10/5): A grand stay at Whiteside Farm Granary! - V Clean , well decorated and fitted out, comfortable. Really loved the hot tub after a day walking on the wall . Peaceful and restful location. Great WiFi too It was all good for us !
- Ashleigh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional - Didn't see owners or have any contact but there were no concerns. It was clean and beautifully presented.
Probably a little remote but was fine for a couple of nights.
- Taylor (9/5): Superb -
- Phillip (10/5): A great stay - Homely, welcoming, clean fantastic rural location.
We booked for the night to be closer to our daughter, she was away with her school for the weekend.
I then found myself booking again for a couple of nights later in the year.
Highly recommend this fantastic stay. Nothing
- Htripssohard (10/5): Peaceful stay with great facilities. - Beautiful location, easy to get to. Very peaceful and all facilities were easy to use. Only thing on my wish list for this place would be a dishwasher. Additionally this wasn't an issue for us but elderly folk may struggle with the stairs.
- Wayne (9/5): Superb - The location was quiet, remote, and surrounded by beautiful countryside. The only thing that I didn't like was the single track to the property. However, that wouldn't stop us from visiting again.
- Helen (9/5): Perfect chilled getaway, should’ve stayed another night! - Loved the green colour. Very calming. Dog friendly. Blankets super cosy on the futon. Loved the private location and hot tub on the balcony. It had everything we wanted and needed. Would highly recommend it. Nothing. Everything was great!
- Charlie (7/5): Good - The location is great, very remote, quiet, and scenic. Perfect location to see hadrians wall. Overall cozy space and comfortable furniture. The dog biscuit jar, originally a nice touch, was infested with insects which were evidently living off of the biscuits in the jar. We didn't see much of the hosts but the time we did see them was when their 4 jack russels attacked our dog while she was trying go out for a wee. It would be advisable for the hosts to sufficiently fence their own garden to prevent this as it makes the place somewhat less dog friendly. The hot tub was a little in the wind but, in fairness, what do you expect in February.
- Lara (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely quirky little cottage. Exceptionally clean. Great facilities with everything you need. With the added bonus of a hot tub .
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (10/5): Relaxing stay and beautiful location. Will definitely be back and recommend to others. - Hot tub was amazing and the bed was very comfortable.
- Paul (10/5): Unbelievable place in a lovely setting - Was a gorgeous property with everything we needed Nothing
- Kieran (10/5): A very nice stay and would recommend. - Nice and cosy. Great views and very friendly staff who supported us in getting off the small country roads despite there being lots of snow!! Overall,a lovely stay and would recommend. Nothing.
- Lorraine (10/5): Outstanding good hospitality - The whole experience of being away the cottage was absolutely outstanding so comfortable and cosy . Everything you needed was available. Nicola & Stewart were lovely people who made you feel welcome.. the fact it was dog friendly made it even more pleasurable. We have already booked a longer stay next year can’t wait for that … We have no negative feedback about the cottage
- Gurleen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jade (10/5): great for a break from society 😉 - it was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. we watched the sunrise from the hot tub. not a dislike as it's what we were wanting but the location is very isolated.
- Donna (9/5): Lovely place Lovely owners, even saved us when we got stuck in the snow - Clear simple instructions Couldn't fault the accomodation
- Lesley (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet, tranquil, and staying on a working farm.
The actual house was clean, cosy, and everything which we needed. The added bonus is the hot tub. There is nothing to dislike
- Alexis (10/5): Amazing - Absolutely amazing, Nicola put banners and balloons for my partners birthday. Lovely location had everything we needed
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely cottage, very cosy and quiet, scenic location.
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional -
- Duncan (10/5): Delightful location and property - The location is outstanding, just north of the Wall. Being in the dark sky park if you get a clear night you are in for a treat. The hot tub is a lovely bonus.
- Louise (10/5): Great secluded getaway. - Beautiful cottage in a secluded location. Easy to get to from the main road and well sign posted. The cottage itself is very cozy and comfortable. It has all the modern amenities you need (WiFi etc) and the hot tub is great to spend an evening in.
- Bernadette (10/5): Great hidden gem - Great location.
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catherine (10/5): A relaxing break in a peaceful location with great hosts. - The cottage was clean and carefully furnished. The bed was comfortable and extra blankets etc if needed. We appreciated the extra touches such as toiletries and condiments. Our pooch appreciated the dog bowls and treats and enjoyed meeting the three farm dogs. It suited our needs well. Thank you. Nothing negative to say.
- Joanne (10/5): Perfect little get away with amazing views! - Lovely little cottage with everything we needed! Fantastic location, great hot tub! Dog friendly!
- Melanie (9/5): A comfy, beautiful stay in a peaceful setting. - Well presented property. Very clean and comfortable. Stunning views of farmland, sheep, cows, and a range of birds. Sat nav sent us on a very narrow rural track!
- Ashleigh (10/5): Exceptional - The granary was an idyllic little get away for the family. The beds were lovely and comfy and my daughter was absolutely besotted with Tommy the cat coming staying with us. The host was lovely and the accommodation was absolutely spotless couldn't fault it at all. Cannot wait to book again at a later date.
- Golda (10/5): amazing!!! -
- Hannah (10/5): Amazing property with friendly people on the farm. - Amazing little cottage. The most comfiest bed and sleep I have ever had whilst being away from home. Amazing views. There was everything you needed within the cottage. Wifi was great with the lack of signal in the area. Only issue we had was the little farm dog, luckily our dogs are friendly but it barked at us when I was walking them and it began to run towards us in which I got my dogs inside the property as not sure how they would all react.
- Andy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Margaret (9/5): Remote and beautiful - This remote property up on the moors is on a working farm surrounded by endless moorland fields and sky. We loved the Granary. It’s small but has everything you might need tastefully decorated. The hot tub was a bonus although rainy weather meant I finally got in there at 7.30am on bank holiday Monday when the sun shone. It’s well located for visiting the Roman forts, Corbridge and walking along the wall. It didn’t bother us but if you are not used to the countryside the 2.5mile single track road across the moorland might be daunting. If you plan to arrive after dark make sure you get the SatNav right.
- Patrick (10/5): Perfect, short but perfect - Panoramic views of truly great countryside. Even with less then perfect weather, the view made you think you owned the world. Having to leave, the only bad bit was not been able to stay forever.
- Kathryn (8/5): Wonderful rural location on a working farm - This is a really tiny but clean and nicely decorated cottage on a working farm. We loved the remote location and the views from the cottage across the countryside. It was especially nice sitting in the hot tub, watching the lambs playing in the adjacent fields. This is a very personal thing, but we found the mattress far too soft, and the foam topper on top of the mattress just made the bed even softer. My husband and I both awoke feeling stiff and uncomfortable, which was such a shame as the cottage was otherwise equipped to a very high standard. We would recommend that the owners invest in a new mattress, but otherwise found the property excellent.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Judith (8/5): Peaceful - Tranquility N/a
- Elliot (10/5): Amazing stay, so cozy, perfect place for a relaxing night away. Would 100% recommend, will deffo be back! - The cottage was so comfortable and cozy. The hot tub was brilliant, and really made the stay feel so relaxing Nothing
- Hamish (10/5): Book this for my parents for a wee trip. They had such a great time and the hosts were so welcoming. -
- Lynda (10/5): Perfect getaway location 💛 - Our stay was faultless! What a perfect getaway location, not too far from civilisation, but far enough! Very well kitted out accommodation - we had everything we needed. Comfy and cozy and beautifully presented. Hot tub at night where we could just spend hours stargazing was the perfect end to the day. Nothing - our stay was perfect.
- Denise (10/5): Really great place to spend time, with wonderful views and very well kept cottage - Great location. Definitely a good choice if you want to get away from it all. Really well equipped, clean, well appointed accommodation. We didn’t use it but the hot tub on the terrace was a real bonus. Close to the Roman Wall so a brilliant spot if you want to go walking/exploring Northumberland’s history. The owners couldn’t do enough and made us feel really welcome. Everything was great. No issues.
- Ross (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (10/5): Amazing little hidden gem that you must book. - The little Granary is an amazing holiday home. Beautiful inside with everything we needed for our break. The location is amazing and the property was so lovely. Sitting outside in the hot tub looking out at the stars and shooting stars was so amazing. We would 100% visit again. Best place we have stayed at by far. Nothing. Everything was perfect
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samantha (10/5): Amazing, clean, cosy, amazing hosts, great price! - The most amazing place to stay! There wasn’t one negative I could think of. Nicola and Stuart had the most clean, cosy granary with everything you could ever need. The granary made our Christmas! We can’t wait to book up again soon. There wasn’t one thing I could say was a negative, if there was anything I had to really pick at, it would be that the weather would need to be okay to get there and back because part of the country roads can fill up with water and when going through the puddles they can be rather deep. In the summer would be amazing once the roads had dried up.
- Santiago (10/5): I wish i could have stayed longer. The views are great, you feel removed from all city stresses, the place is very comfo - Exceptionally comfortable, very well appointed. This is circumstantial, but it’s a bit hard to find in the darkness of night. The GPS was spot on, however.
- Dalziel94 (9/5): Beautiful little home, lovely relaxing retreat - The cottage was lovely, had everything we needed. Really good for a relaxing break. Even had little treats for the dogs. We loved the hot tub and the fact there was an air fryer made cooking easier! The only slight negative was the day we were leaving. We were asked when we were leaving by a knock at the door as other people were coming to stay that day at around 11.15am however checkout was stated up to 12pm so we immediately felt rushed and left in a hurry after that.
I would like to add that a strainer would be very helpful as we had to use a plate over the pot to drain pasta!
The house also seems to have a small problem with woodlice in the upstairs bathroom.
The bed is super comfy, we didn't want to leave. It's such a cute little house on a quiet farm and perfect for a couples retreat away.
- Katie (10/5): Fantastic stay - Gorgeous cosy little cottage, absolutely spotlessly clean, bed was so comfy, hot tub a lovely little addition and fantastic value for money. We will definitely recommend and return in the future
- Ellie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (10/5): Great retreat, looking forward to staying again soon. - Well presented property, private with great views. Hot tub fab, whole layout worked well for us. Great host and welcomed by the farm cat who is adorable. Plenty of great walks. Would be great for stargazing on a clear night. Nothing
- Margret (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): Fantastic place for a break. - Cottage was very well appointed. Nothing.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - Love the location, the host was lovely Nothing
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely little place which is excellent value for money has everything you need just wished we booked for 3 nights. Nothing
- Leslie (9/5): Cosy, quiet annex to a working farm near Hadrian’s Wall. - A Cosy, but fully fitted annex in a very quiet location on a working farm. Close to the best bits of Hadrian’s Wall for walks, with a couple of decent pubs within 10 or so minutes drive. The owner was very helpful and nice and had some very cute 5 week old Jack Russell pups! The 2 mile drive from the main road on a single track road whilst dodging cows and sheep might not suit everyone, but we quite liked it! Not a fan of nylon sheets!
- Dania (10/5): Beautiful place to stay, so relaxing and had everything we need😊 -
- Wendy (9/5): We had a fantastic tonight, break and hot tub was an added bonus. - Lovely property on a working farm with private entrance and hot tub. Fantastic walks straight from the door onto open moorland.
After long walks on Hadrian’s Wall, it was nice to come home to a clean open space with a hot tub available on the Veranda
Everything you need in the property, including a air fryer Unfortunately we could not get any TV channels so had to use our iPad in order to watch TV. The only thing that we could get was Netflix
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dolores (10/5): Absolutely perfect - The place is lovely, super clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. It is truly dog friendly unlike others which are "dog tolerant" by offering the less well kept accommodation and setting endless rules on what to do with your dog beyond common dog owner manners.
The location is idyllic with ample views of the countryside and the big Northern skies. I cannot recommend it enough, my dog and I loved it.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicola (9/5): Superb -
- Lydia (10/5): A peaceful stay in a wonderful setting. - Beautiful views, incredibly well furnished and a very comfortable stay. Would recommend and would come back!
- Alex (10/5): Excellent short break will be going back -
- Paul (8/5): very helpful great location for walkers home from home - location leaving 😆😆
- Lyndsay (10/5): Exceptional - well presented cottage
beautiful location
everything you need for a comfortable stay
- Stephanie (10/5): amazing property with beautiful views and dog friendly- perfect! - Absolutely beautiful property and location. Owner’s had literally thought of everything. The property is furnished to a very high standard. nothing
- Nicholas (9/5): Very enjoyable - Self catering. A shame the TV obscures the tremendous view from the living room window!
- Ciara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - Everything lovely and clean
Ideal location
Will visit again
