• Michael (10/5): Quality Accommodation with an excellent Host - Spotlessly clean Spacious and very well equipped Comfy beds, Quality linens Well thought out space Lovely view from lounge and master bedroom There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the property. My only suggestion would be to partition the bathroom in half to make x2 wc/shower rooms, one of which could be served by a door from the rear bedroom. I’m sure it’s been thought of/suggested before but I can imagine overall cost and booking impact during works make it prohibitive. Also I think lots of people specifically want a bath. 😀

• Daniel (10/5): Great property, brilliantly located. - Great property, really well located with an amazing view. The property is well equipped and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The only small issue is the bedrooms on the top floor would be better suitable with a toilet/shower room - it’s quite a long way from the top bedroom to the bathroom but this is a minor issue.

• Louise (9/5): Wonderful, will definitely stay again. - The property is in an excellent location close to shops and restaurants. Beaches are within an easy walk too. The beds were all super comfortable and the living room had a lovely view of the sea. The bread, eggs and milk etc. were a lovely touch, we were so happy to be able to sit down and have a cup of tea after a long drive. The breakfast at The Lamp Room restaurant two doors down is a must, it was delicious - booking is advisable as it’s always busy. The lights in the stairs/front door area would benefit from being lit together from both top and bottom switches and for longer than they currently do. Building work in the property below starts at 8am and does not stop until 8pm. This is just bad luck with our trip timing and no fault of the host.

• Shaun McGlynn (10/5): A fantastic property for a break - We arrived at the property having followed the instructions by the host provided. On entering the property through the rear yard I was a bit sceptical however once we entered the property it was a surprise. A huge place with 3 bedrooms a sea view from the living area and the top bedroom, complete with a full kitchen this place is home from home. There was tea, coffee,milk and bread provided here which surprised me but it was a nice touch. Very well presented and everything you could want if staying for a weekend or longer. There were also towels provided. Situated on Seaham sea front right opposite the WWI Tommy sculpture this place is in a fantastic location there are cafés below and along the sea front places to eat nearby and a small shopping area. It is also close to the Dalton park outlet. Brilliant communication from the host and I will definitely stay here again I wish all places were like this. Thank you. The weather but you can't do anything about that unfortunately

Could have been done with a second small bathroom only due to being 3 double rooms and 5 staying adult guests was a slight struggle getting ready.

The kitchen smoke alarm is a little too sensitive - be careful with your toast! Broadband connection is sporadic but that might be the area. As I say, minor criticisms for what is a lovely place to stay

The LampRoom restaurant downstairs was exceptional for breakfast, what a menu and wonderful to get a discount as apartment guests. Everything was spot on!
• John (8/5): Cosy apartment in a brilliant location. - The apartment’s location is excellent and lovely views of the sea and park opposite from the living room and main upstairs bedroom. Kitchen well appointed especially good fridge freezer. Local on-street parking readily available. Plenty of nearby eating and drinking options to suit all budgets plus close to town centre and glass beach. An almost blocked sink in the bathroom (on arrival) was quickly addressed by owners. Great Smart TV and good Wi-Fi. Enjoyed evening meals in the row of restaurants adjacent to the apartment, including Ashoka, Tide and Gills fish and chips. Plenty of other good places nearby in town for lunch or dinner. Very steep stairs to upper floor with sharp bend needing much care to avoid falling when descending. No upstairs toilet facility; more problematic given the difficult stairs. Very low slippery leather sofas in living room which were difficult to stand up from for older guests.

Tea and coffee left for us. 50% off breakfast in restaurant underneath. Books and games and a lovely large lounge which was perfect to continue relaxing after our spa day. A little bit awkward to find but worth it once inside. The only tiny niggle would be only one bathroom, for longer stays especially with all girls an extra shower room would help.

• Claire (10/5): We will absolutely stay again. - Lovely home from home,stylish duplex apartment. Perfect location in Seaham with beautiful sea views. Located right in the heart of Seaham seafront. I was surprised by how quiet it was once inside. Even with some renovation works below we didn’t hear a thing. Friendly communications from the owner and a great bonus that there’s a discount on the breakfasts in The Lamp Room. We loved breakfast and dinner there. There is no designated parking, but we had no problem parking for free close by on a busy bank holiday weekend. The stairs are steep up to the penthouse and even more so to the second floor. As someone with dodgy knees I found it a bit of a struggle. This was made clear in advance of me booking though. The entrance to the property is around the back of multiple food and retail businesses and it can be a little off putting on arrival when you have to enter surrounded by bins etc. I wouldn’t be put off by that as It’s a lovely place!

• Emma (10/5): Beautiful apartment! - Beautiful apartment with everything you might need. Love that you left some supplies for us too! Gorgeously furnished, great view and great communication from the owner. Disappointed that there were no spare toilet rolls... my only grumble. It wasn't a full roll on arrival, and 4 adults need more than half a roll on an overnight stay 😀 Had breakfast in the Lamproom with our discount, it was wonderful, 5*. Would definitely recommend. Nothing to dislike, it was beautiful!
