• Tom (7/5): Overall it's a nice place to be at with friends and family away from the busy city life. Recommended - *Beautiful view. *comfy bed. *have all the kitchen essentials required for a comfortable stay. *Always a bonus for me when there is a fire place. *comfortable shower (the one I used not sure how other rooms showers are like) so temperature is great and I didn't struggle to adjust the temperature to what I wanted. *they are still constructing so seems like there will be a restaurant in future, that would be a nice touch to the place. *it's interesting that they have a "secret" passageway leading to the indoor pool. so I find that to be quite cool, although I didn't go use the pool as I was too tired with all the hikes already. *seems like theres new ownership now so the gravel road it does seem like it will be upgraded to tar road in the future so that is much appreciated in my opinion. (seeing the owners putting effort to make a place better always goes well with me.) *they have some books and board games which did add a nice touch. *the room I was staying in the toilet did not have a window so an extractor is used in place which is fine but would be better if the extractor have it's own switch or else when going to the toilet and turning on the light the extractor also goes on and disturbs the other person in the room. *the fridge would be nice to get an upgrade. the fridge at the back froze some of the things and in the mean while the freezer did not freeze the frozen things we had (but was gonna eat it soon so wasn't a big deal). *the dinning room door leading to outside seems to be stuck so we didn't try to force it open. but not really a problem as there are so many other doors. it's just would be nice to be able to utilize it as well. *Would have been nice to be informed about what is available on the premises. there is a card that saying there is a picnic place and two hiking trails but it was dated 2018. so when my friends went on the hike they were not successful as it lead them back to the accommodation and one of the hike says it goes into the neighbours place which is fine as they have an agreement with the owner that hikers can go through but since it was dated 2018 and there was a change of ownership so wasn't sure if that is still valid. *I did not enjoy it when some random persons came up to our accommodation looking for the lady that lead us to the accommodation and they saying it like that lady was in our accommodation. I don't know if they from the other unit and need some assistance or just some local folks that visit her from time to time. but they didn't persist in asking after we have established that we do not know where she is.
• Lynn (9/5): Superb - Facilities very good. Location excellent. Peaceful and quiete .... Peacock was a treat!! Bedrooms were extremely cold. Perhaps gas heating? Suggest that guests be provided with load shedding schedule to be prepared. Wood for fire place to be replaced daily especially during cold weather.
• Elsa (5/5): Was relaxing apart from the little irritations - I liked the peace a quiet of the place which I could relax There was no one to open up for us, we had to wait around, after we had sent a message at 3pm advising of our delay due to the roads, and tried to phone a number of times, with no answer, the lady was quite rude when we arrived. FYI the message was only read on the Saturday. We were not prepared for loadshedding, in future advise guests to download the schedule ahead of time, as your staff dont know when it happens either, 1 led lamp for 4 rooms is not enough. I know loadshedding is a pain but there are cheap alternatives like rechargeable globes and they last up to 3 hours. We had to take other guests through our house to open up for them and show them where to go. 2 of the rooms did not have hot water so we had to shower in cold water even though there was no loadshedding at the time. We had to ask for a kettle to boil water, we initially had to boil water in a pot. When we asked which route to take to go on the hikes, firstly the ladies did not understand what I was asking about, and then we were advised that the grass for the paths was not cut and we shouldnt risk as there are snakes, I understand it is the bush, but you advertise it as one of your main attractions, was really looking forward to that, and it was dissapointing not to be able to go.

Great location. beautifully located between mountains and trees. perfect for a big family getaway. loved the 2 sitting areas inside and outside the house. fireplace was perfect for the one rainy day we experienced. the house we were allocated to has and indoor swimming pool - the kids were happy 😀. clean and well equipped with everything needed for a self catering family trip. plenty of cutlery and crockery, big fridge, microwave oven, stove and double oven. Enjoyed prepping meals. Braai area and mobile braai stand. hiking and walking trails.. loved them. Staff is friendly and welcoming nothing… honestly

Wifi was not always working in our place, unless we move to the swimming pool side. Network is a nightmare,could not communicate with our families.
