Guest Reviews
- Timothy (10/5): The perfect centerpoint to explore Umbria - Chef Federico and Louise are fantastic hosts. The rooms are warm and welcoming and very clean. The food is fantastic. We were here for five days and also did the cooking class for one day. Every day the chef made something different as a three or five course meal depending upon our choice. The cooking class is exceptional fun.
We were able to make day trips to Orvieto, Assisi, Todi, Spello, and Spoleto and come back for a fantastic meal every evening. The location is perfect for exploring Umbria. Nothing

- Donata (9/5): An idyll in Umbria - somewhere to breath, rest and eat! - The room was very spacious (with a very comfortable mattress!), and the buildings are historically fascinating. The food was superb. We had the Rustic menu three consecutive nights, and each was made with excellent seasonal products, combining Italian cuisine with a very clever use of spices, fruit and vegetables. Nevertheless, the absolute stars were Louise and Federico, who are warm and welcoming hosts. Being so close to Rome, Casale Alessandri is a lovely space to escape to when needing a break from the city!
- Fioretto (10/5): - Relax e struttura bellissima
- Thim (9/5): Casale Alessandri is a beautiful, quiet and cozy getaway for anyone passing though Massa Martana. - Casale Alessandri is a beautiful, quiet and cozy getaway for anyone passing though Massa Martana. The hosts were amazing and very accommodating with any of requests. Whether it was an extra cleaning of the carpet to let our little daughter play there safely to help with adjusting the tire pressure of our rental car.
The dinners we had at the residence were also tasty and rustic.
We thoroughly enjoyed it! The only feedback was that the pool was a little too cold for our daughter to stay in for longer periods of time but it was acceptable for adults.
- Ellie (9/5): Beautiful villa and unforgettable cooking - We loved our time at Casale Alessandri! The hosts were super friendly, the 5-course meal was delicious, and the cooking class was a fun and tasty experience. Highly recommended! There were quite a few mosquitoes was the only thing
- Eva (10/5): - Proprietari accoglienti, cucina ottima e casale splendido. Ottimo per rigenerarsi.

- John (9/5): Great time, clean rooms, great food and great hospitality from the owners! - Remote and quiet. Very clean. The couple running the property were very nice. The road to the property has a drop off if you turn right off the main road. A sign would also be nice.

- Robert (10/5): Had an unforgettable stay and would recommend to anyone. Hope to be back soon. - Breakfast was great and we had dinner twice and both nights were fantastic.

- Karl (10/5): Another great stay at Casale Alessandri - Second stay at Casale Alessandri. This was for a few days prior to our son's wedding at Castello di Montignano. 8 of us had the Rustic menu on the day of arrival, then a family dinner off 18 with bride and groom the following night. Sat outside, tables set up lovely, great food wine and service. Louise and team work hard to provide an informal, comfortable service and Federico provides the food and narrative to complete a great experience. What's not to be enjoyed! Can't wait to stay again when next in the region. We couldn't extend our stay
- Karl (10/5): Wonderful stay at Casale Alessandri - Food, location, pool and fantastic service from Louise & Federico
- Annette (10/5): Our Umbrian Retreat - Casale Alessandri instantly felt like home. It is nestled amongst the Umbrian valleys with beautiful views across the fields and olive groves. We were fortunate to have the Porcini Room that had the charm of yesteryear along with the modern-day comforts and beautiful views of the gardens and surrounding fields. The shower was fabulous and instantly relaxed you after big days exploring the surrounding areas of Assisi, Orvieto, and Todi. We were very spoilt by having the rustic menu each night created by the in-house chef Frederico. This was a real treat after exploring all day to come home and be spoilt with a 3 course dinner that changed every day ( we were there for 6 days). It was one of the highlights of our days. There are also cooking classes, which unfortunately we were unable to do, but if our evenings were anything to go by, they would be so much fun. Louise was a beautiful host . With her gentle manner, she creates a sense of calm that helps you to relax and just enjoy where you are. We cannot thank you enough, Louise & Frederico, Taxi & Uber, for giving us a holiday that will forever stay in our hearts.
- James (9/5): A fantastic stay - Stunning location, lovely room and beautiful pool. The food in the restaurant was incredible.

- PERE (4/5): Tant el lloc com la casa, ofereixen moltes oportunitats de millora. - La piscina, el pàrquing i la situació L’esmorzar i els dèficits de manteniment.

- Lihy (10/5): Perfect ❤️ - *A Paradise in Umbria – An Unforgettable Stay with Luis and Federico*
We stayed for three nights at this magical place – and there’s no other word to describe it but paradise.
The farmhouse is old, authentic, and full of charm. The garden is beautiful and peaceful, and the new pool offers a breathtaking view.
Our room was spacious, spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable.
The hosts, Luis and Federico, are a wonderful couple – kind, warm, and attentive. The service was outstanding.
Breakfast was delicious, fresh, and generous – the perfect way to start the day.
*A must-visit if you’re staying in Umbria. We will definitely return!*

The infinity pool and view is to die for. The food and drinks …. Grown on site… exquisite. We will never forget this stay.

- Abigail (10/5): Exceptional - It was the best stay.
We went with a group of friends (all couples) and it was perfect. Our hosts put in so much effort to make us comfortable, and the chef was amazing. Thank you so much. We are planning our next trip there!
- David (9/5): The hosts were amazing food great and staying in an authentic country casele was a real highlight. - This was one very special place to stay especially with a resident chef who did the most amazing g cooking classes - not to,ention the degustation menu wow!
- D'argent (10/5): We stayed here for 2 nights whilst working, it was so beautiful and the owners were so nice and attentive! I wish we cou - The owners, the pool, the bed sheets were beautiful, the bathrooms were clean, the views and serenity were amazing. Waking up to the birds every morning was like a dream Nothing
- Eva (10/5): A place to relax optimally - We were very warmly welcomed, the place is beautiful and Louise is always one step ahead to know what would make the stay even more comfortable. Prime example of what hospitality is supposed to be like 😀.
There are all kinds of edible plants and trees in the garden, including artichokes and peaches and the landscape is beautiful. The view from the pool is very relaxing and we would recommend trying the gourmet menu!
- Martina (10/5): Exceptional - We loved our stay at Casale Alessandri and were sad we couldn't stay longer! The gardens and house are beautiful, comfortable and peaceful, close to everything you need but immersed in nature. The views are fantastic as is the swimming pool. Food is wonderful and fresh and everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly. We loved our stay and can't recommend it enough!
- Hadar (10/5): It’s a beautiful charming house with an insanely beautiful pool. Food was excellent. Also breakfast - Beautiful. Clean. Lovely people Nothing.
- Joseph (10/5): Fantastic - Wonderful cooking school, Frederico and staff are superb.
- Simon (10/5): Rustic heaven. - Lovely location. Rustic, which is just what we were looking for. And the hosts, Louise and Federico, are wonderful. Pleasant and congenial, and Federico is a fantastic chef. The gourmet dinner we had one evening was superb. It also helps that he is very funny and entertaining.
- Darren (10/5): Exceptional - The pool & the comfort. Also very quiet.
- Moira (10/5): Loved everything about it. Would love to return. - Beautiful quaint property in tranquil setting. Louise and Federico were excellent hosts and the swimming pool was the icing on the cake.
- Erwin (3/5): As a travel advisor, I do not recommend choosing this property if you want to have a relaxing experience during your tra - Nicely decorated rooms, beautiful estate and a nice pool. Poor management, lack of professionalism in hospitality and communications. The hosts look to stressed to make you feel comfortable at their estate and it affects the energy of the property. The dogs are locked inside the cages and they bark a lot. Nobody cared when we see a snake passing by outside of our doorstep. Instead we got an attitude.
Some rooms have shared bathrooms and shower is not working properly. We were not able to take a shower.
- Éabha (10/5): Will be back - The setting is absolutely beautiful. The accommodation was extremely clean and hosts very welcoming. Louise and Frede went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed including transport for a wedding we were attending. The food that we had was delicious. We hope to be back to do a cooking course. Nothing
- Astrid (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ann-pascale (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect hideaway in the Mountains of Umbria! Amazing Food and very welcoming owners.
- Christine (9/5): Gorgeous 17th century villa in the hills of Umbria - Breakfast was delicious. Location is stunning & quiet. Owners extremely lovely. Will definitely be back!
- Tracey (8/5): Very good -
- Burns (7/5): Can Not fault the rooms or night sleep - Rooms very comfy
Very clean
Pool is Good
People very nice
If your in to cooking then excellent place No Television
Better communication or description of what is available.
You have to pre book meals in advance. So not that flexible.
Next doors dogs Barking a lot and there own dogs barking a lot.
You pays your money and makes your choice
it could be classed as an Expensive Air B + B
Its some one's Home and not a Hotel,
but that could have been my mistake in not researching better.
- Gerald (10/5): Exceptional - the hosts, the location and of course the food prepared by the great chief fedde. nothing!
