- Jennifer (8/5): We have booked a longer stay next year. - We enjoyed our stay at Tranquility Point. There aren’t too many places where you can enjoy complete silence but this is one of them. Would like to see some comfortable chairs on the verandah.
The dishwasher in the laundry is a well-kept secret. We didn’t realise it was there until the morning we left.
- david (8/5): The name tranquility point sums it up. - the location is almost impossible to beat and the name of the property is accurate. When the wind dropped one morning, the only sound was gently lapping water. We took bicycles with us and it made exploring the island a treat. the verandah could do with some more comfortable chairs.. It is a place one wants to spend time and the units there were not up to the same standard as those indoors!. A minor gripe and I look forward to visiting again
- Aimee (9/5): Amazing location on a lovely island - The house is on the less populated side of the island so we had an uninterrupted view of the bay and amazing sunsets each day. There was a gorgeous koala in one of the backyard trees on our first night, and grazing kangaroos out the front at dusk. Aside from the location, the house is very comfortable and well appointed. Two koalas in the backyard!
- Jing (9/5): wonderful peaceful lake house and the resident koala was not shy at all! - beach access
resident koala
spacious
comfy beds
well equipped kitchen bbq not working properly
leaking gutter on verandah
- Simon (9/5): Superb - The issues described in earlier reviews all seem to have been addressed (other than the lack of a TV antenna - then again, you're in the middle of gorgeous surroundings, so not much need for watching television) Very spacious property with lots of rooms, excellent kitchen to prepare food in and amazing views onto the lake - as well as kangaroos visiting in the evening and morning, and a resident koala. Slight mix up at the point of picking up keys (we were given the wrong key safe code) - thankfully a staff member popped down to the office (on a Saturday) to help within a few minutes after calling them.
- Bruce (7/5): Great location very scenic needs a larger outdoor table setting - Great location great views Went down for afl grand final no antenatal connection had to purchase TV antena at an extra cost of $70
- Shihan (6/5): Pleasant - The good points were the location was beautiful and towels/linens supplied were all clean and good quality. We stayed for one week and it felt like we were in a construction site. One day a tradesman came asking if he could measure up the deck
Another day we were woken up early morning to a delivery truck dropping off building materials on the front area. The materials were placed in an area where kids were running around.
It's all seemed a bit unprofessional when the property is being rented out.
There is building materials littered all over the premises and parts of the inside of the house look like they are in mid renovation.
A few things needs to be been maintained (outdoor table and chairs were broken, bbq was leaking gas, pots and pans supplied were all rusted).
- Jayne (8/5): Beautiful location just missing the final touches - The location of this property is beautiful on the lake front. We saw koalas and kangaroos in the back garden during our stay and beautiful sunsets. The beds were comfy There were some basic things missing that you would expect from a property like this (salt and pepper, oil, tea towels, enough glasses for everyone) but overall our stay was a good one and we really enjoyed it.
- Kathryn (8/5): Peaceful & secluded weekender - Lovely secluded location. The home was perfect for 2 families. The shallow calm waters were great for SUPs & kayaking. We enjoyed our daily walks amongst the koalas & when the wind was too strong, we were able to find alternative spots of seclusion by the water. The draw card is the outdoors and acces to water. It would be great to upgrade the outdoor furniture.
- Mark (7/5): Would I stay there again, yes! - The bush and surround were perfect for a holiday, close to the water and only 15 in from the ferry provided plenty to do or relaxation time. There are no fly wire screens on the windows or doors so it was a little stuffy inside, both air conditioning units were noisy and the smell coming from the manhole cover in the roof on a hot day was not ideal.
- Justyna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (10/5): Magical location and well appointed comfortable and spotless home with everything you need for a perfect getaway retreat - Beautiful home in idyllic setting. Comfortable beds and luxurious linen. Fantastic kitchen with everything we needed. Kangaroos, birdlife, swans on doorstep. A few steps to the lake. Absolutely stunning views. Definitely named appropriately. Obviously still a work in progress and a bit of a clutter of bits and pieces around the property ,but the few minor inconveniences did not detract from the experience.
