• Liam (9/5): Brilliant stay in a cute old town - Brilliant, very nice decor, shower and bathroom was amazing - needa bigger mirror tho haha Bed comfy, tv was so good sky and everything and it came off the wall - WiFi was great Just the small mirror in the bathroom, and the access if your disabled is narrow steep stairs to get to it

• Anna (10/5): A gorgeous experience in a beautiful lodge - Gorgeous lodge in a beautiful location, completely exceeded our expectations in every way. The decor is gorgeous, so warm and cosy and spotlessly clean. The bed is so comfortable and relaxing. We loved that the owner had provided milk, biscuits , chocolates AND prosecco. Couldn’t fault this experience in any way. Have already recommended to friends and family.

• Anthea (10/5): Wonderful stay, will definitely book again! - Really felt like we were in a luxury hotel for the night. The property is decorated to a very high standard, and was spotless! We enjoyed good weather so used the outside area, with its comfortable seating to read and relax. Bed was super comfortable too. Good quality toiletries, drinks and milk were a welcome addition also. Barrie was so friendly and welcoming, providing local knowledge, and obviously takes great pride in hosting. Although in a quiet location, It was just a short walk along a beautiful lane to get to the riverside with cafes and boating. The town, with lovely shops, cafes, and the castle was also a short walk from the property. The pub nearby was a treat, with a fab menu and local friendly atmosphere. Best place we have stayed in a long time and will definitely book again. Nothing not to like about this property, it’s perfect !

We took the train to York, Harrogate and Newcastle recommended for us to do and it was lovely. The owners thought of everything down to the last detail. Nothing

• Joanne (10/5): Stylish retreat in a beautiful spot in central Knaresborough - We loved the location, beautiful setting just by the river and 2 great pubs. The facilities are great (they have thought of everything) it is so comfortable, clean and relaxing. We particularly loved the sky light! Fantastic that there is a parking space too which just makes everything easier. Nothing, thank you Barrie for an excellent stay- we hope to be back.

Prosecco, milk, biscuits ect left for arrival made it special (Thank you Barrie). The perfect place for a romantic stay, we will definitely be returning as it is a hidden gem in a pretty market town. 5 *****

Nice touches, milk and water in the fridge and cookies for your cuppa. Quality toiletries, comfy bed. Nice patio area with furniture which will be fab in summer. Great host No complaints only one criticism, un comfy pillows but I’m fussy about them.

• Jenny (10/5): Cosy and comfortable. Lovely! - Really clean and modern feeling. Bed was very comfortable and we stayed for one night and facilities were great- coffee machine, kettle, fridge. It wouldn’t be suitable if you wanted to cook a meal but we didn’t! Parking is below on the drive. Really easy to find. Is up some steep steps so wouldn’t be suitable if not fully mobile.

Feel rope hand rail would be better with a fixed wooden or metal one, steps were quite steep and rope didn’t give enough support for me. Perhaps leave the instruction book out as we did not find it until we were leaving.

• Daniel (10/5): Top quality apartment in a fantastic location - Very tidy top quality lodge. Very comfy bed. 2 nice pubs round the corner (get the cheese board in the half moon) and a 5/10 minute walk to the viaduct so very central. Loved it all, it was a little warm but we used the fan provided and it did the job 😊
• Elizabeth (9/5): It was lovely. I will definitely stay again we come to Knaresborough a lot. - They had thought of everything it was spotless too It was quite hot. The fan was quite loud so I found it hard to sleep. If they had kept the blind closed on the ceiling window it would have been cooler.

Also I've talked to the owner about a canopy covering the outside seating area because it's a main selling point ,and it rained most of the time we were there so couldn't use it.
