• Said (7/5): - Habitación amplia y lavadora disponible en el balcón. El chico de la recepción era muy amable pero no hablaba nada inglés así que era difícil hacerse entender sobre todo porque tuvimos un problema con el datáfono que no funcionaba y tuvimos que perder mucho tiempo para conseguir hacer el pago. Además la ubicación es muy alejada del centro

• Heiko (10/5): - Sehr gute Unterkunft. Der Blick vom Balkon ist einmalig und die Zimmer haben europäischen Standart. Klare Empfehlung. Es gibt nichts zu beanstanden. Der Weg zum Hotel ist vielleicht etwas abenteuerlich aber nicht dramatisch. Moped ist erforderlich. Fahrräder für große Menschen zu klein.

• Henna (10/5): Spacious room with a big, awesome balcony - Room was spacious and kitchen was great. What I loved was the balcony. It had shade which was good in the heat and the door had a bug-net installed so we could keep it open even during the night. It was lovely to fell asleep listening all the noises from the river, the cicadas, fishermans and birds. I liked and disliked the location equally, if it wouldn't have been so hot I wouldn't have minded that it was little bit far from everything. Also, our room door had a lock with a numbercode which was great (no need for a physical key) but we came home one night quite late and the outer door (without a numbercodelock) was locked so we couldn't get in. We had to knock to the door quite sometime before the staff came to let us in. We felt bad for waking them but no-one had informed us how to deal in the situation like this.
• Ken (9/5): Comfortable and peaceful apartment overlooking the river - The Property has a calm and peaceful location with great views over the Mekong from the balcony. The flat is well-equipped and comfortable with internet TV and cooking facilities. Very safe and secure. While located out of town, the local Uber and tuktuks are about 2 euros to the night market. Initially I had trouble using my card to pay on arrival and it took until the next day before they got their card reader sorted out. You should be aware that the property is about 2.5kms into town along a busy road. Sokview rents motor scooters and has free use of bikes so its not a huge problem but a long walk. I had no hot water for my stay which could be improved.
• Urs (8/5): Erholsamer Aufenthalt am Mekong - Schönes Apartment am Fluss, alles so wie beschrieben. Ein Platz zum Erholen. Die Lage ist etwas weit vom Zentrum und in der näheren Umgebung gibt es wenig Läden und Restaurants.
• Peter (8/5): - Blick auf den Mekong, Waschmaschine auf dem Balkon. Die extrem lauten Boote zum Sonnenuntergang mit extrem lauter Karaoke sind jeden Tag dann auch nicht lustig. Unterkunft ist schon etwas abgewohnt. Preis/ Leistung passt nicht.
• Fabien (8/5): Magnifique vue - J ai adoré cette vue sur le mekong. Pas de vis à vis depuis le balcon. Lit confortable. Cuisine fonctionnelle. Un peu excentré, il faut un scooter. Mais bon ensuite, à 5 minutes du centre. Très bruyant de bon matin, de la part du personnel je pense.
• Alisa (10/5): Entspannt & modern mit Mekong-Blick - Super modern eingerichtet, direkt am Mekong gelegen. Das Hotelpersonal ist freundlich, jederzeit verfügbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer ist sauber, verfügt über ein sicheres Schloss an der Eingangstür und der nächste 7-Eleven ist ca. 5-10 Gehminuten entfernt. Die Unterkunft liegt ein wenig außerhalb, aber mit einem Scooter ist der Night Market schnell zu erreichen.

• Mads (9/5): Nyt og lækkert. Value for money. - Helt nyt sted. Lækre store værelser. Med køkken, vaskemaskine og andre fornødenheder. Ligger 2 kilometer ude, men sammenlignet med prisen er det klart den scootertur værd. Overnatning i Luang Prabang er ALT for dyrt alle steder. Men det her var tilpas billig
• Philipp Michael (10/5): Moderne Unterkunft mit freundlichem Service und beeindruckendem Mekong-Blick. - Die Unterkunft ist sehr modern, großzügig geschnitten und bietet alles was man für einen Aufenthalt in Luang Prabang braucht. Wir wurden sehr freundlich am Empfang begrüßt und konnten unser Zimmer unkompliziert beziehen. Auch wenn die Unterkunft nicht im direkten touristischen Herzen von Luang Prabang liegt, ist man sehr schnell mit einem Roller dort. Diesen konnten wir direkt vor der Tür abstellen. Für uns war der direkte Blick auf den Mekong mit Sonnenuntergang sehr eindrucksvoll. Absolut nichts zu beanstanden.

• Sven (8/5): Gerne wieder. - Das Apartment liegt direkt am Mekong, die Ausstattung war super und sehr neuwertig, das Bett sehr bequem. Wir hatten sehr schöne Tage dort. Die Rezeption hat bei allen sehr freundlich unterstützt. Es gab ein paar kleine Macken bspw. hat die Badezimmertür hat am zweiten Tag gehakt und lies sich nur mit Hilfe schließen. War aber ok.

• _ (8/5): - modern gestaltet etwas in die Jahre gekommen, das Bett in der Galerie kann nur schlecht gekühlt werden, es ist heiß da oben und das große Fenster kann nicht abgedunkelt werden. Um in die Stadt zu kommen muss man sich fahren lassen.

• Jasvinder Singh (5/5): It is peaceful getaway. - The room looks nice, the bathroom was spacious The room was not cleaned daily. The towels were not replaced daily. There were days when the complementary water was not topped up. The entrance is very slippery when the floor is wet, it rained the whole week that I was there. The mud trail from the place to the main road was wet and slippery everyday, slippers have to be washed after every going out for every meal. There are very few places to eat nearby. I practically ate at the same shop for the entire stay.

Small reception, whose employees will help you take care of many things. Large, comfortable bed in the bedroom + extra bed on the mezzanine. Doors open with a code. Fantastic view of the Mekong River. A little bit far from centre, but we used Loca taxi application (great and recommended in Luang)
• Greg (8/5): Perfect for a Working Holiday - The balcony was lovely, and the bathroom exceeded my expectations for rooms billed as residences. All I heard at night was nature. The table and sitting area were perfect and the kitchenette and laundry machine were very convenient. It's located down an alley away from the tourist area, so it also has a local feel. If you're a first-time traveler in Laos and don't speak the language, it could be a tough spot to launch from without transportation. You'll need to install a ride-sharing app, or you can contact the desk for help. One night, I arrived and found the door locked, with no worker in sight. I had to call someone who didn't speak English to get in. It was fine, and they were nice.

• Dilyana (9/5): New and nice apartment with a river view - The apartment is very spacious and comfortable. It has a nice river view and is well lit. The kitchen has all you need. The host is very responsive and arranged for us an airport cab, a motorbike for rent, and a child crib. The cleaning service during the stay is quite bad, floor was still with stains, dishes were with food even though they were supposedly washed, the bathroom was also not cleaned. It's mentioned they have a garden on the propery but it's not existing yet, they are building it from what it seems

• Alexander (8/5): Very good - Nice view of river and sunset. Aircon and fan. Good roomy kitchen. Staff very helpful with taxis, parking, though we could not get any knives or tin openers. Appartment had nice modern decor with a lovely shower once you worked out how to operate it. This wasn't truly a 2 bedroom appartment. 1 enclosed bedroom downstairs plus an open plan mezanine bedroom upstairs with the light swtich down steep stairs required a head torch. Despite apparent fumigation beforehand, we found 2 slow-moving giant cockroaches. However, the owner discounted our rent for the rest of our stay and promised to clean every day to compensate.
• Bo (10/5): 180 degrees Mekong view! - Sokview Residence is a brand new apartment building sitting right on the Mekong bank a short walk or ride out of the city center. We have been to Luang Prabang several times and as far as we can see this place is the only one around that features contemporary design and amenities. We stayed here for almost three weeks and to be clear: It was GREAT! Our apartment was very nice! Practical, clean, full kitchen, washing machine etc etc. Add to that a full 180 view of the Mekong river from your balcony. The staff was polite and helpfull and the owner (that can be reached by QR codes to SoMe posted on the wall) was friendly and accommodating. The Sokview rates are cheaper than most hotels in LP, so this is really a no-brainer. This is the place to stay in wonderful Luang Prabang. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

• Sina (8/5): Very good - - The accommodation is located a bit outside the main area, which we appreciated for its tranquility. However, it's easily accessible by bike or local taxi. - We had a spacious room with a balcony offering a direct view of the Mekong – truly beautiful! - Soap dispensers were provided at both the sink and the shower, which was very convenient. - Room cleaning, including towel changes, was done every two days, with an option for daily cleaning. - Check-in was smooth. A staff member greeted us, and shortly after, a friendly lady arrived and explained everything in English. - She was always quickly reachable via WhatsApp throughout our stay. - There is always a staff member present at the reception area, which was very helpful. - Access to the rooms is via a code, which we found very convenient. - Additionally, a washing machine was available, making our stay even more comfortable. - Bicycles are available for free, but you need to be quick as there aren’t enough for all guests. It's on a first-come, first-served basis. - Unfortunately, the bicycles didn't have lights, making it less safe to ride back from the city on the busy roads after dark. - The cleanliness could be improved, especially in the toilet and under the bed, where we found some trash and dust. - There were also some moth larvae hanging on the walls and ceiling. While insects are normal given the proximity to the river, it's essential to ensure thorough cleaning and removal of such pests from the room.

You can enjoy river view at the balcony but location a bit far fews km from city center if you rent motorbike then no problem. Staff were so helpful and friendly. They forgot to clean the room for us.

Just a little far from the town centre. - New place, exceptional value for money for a well appointed room and a phenomenal view of the Mekong river. The downside of it being new is there are quite a few teething problems - which the good price compensates for! The main bugbear was the hassles organising transport into town which is just too far (along a busy road) to walk. This came to a head when I wanted a taxi to go to the airport but had to make do with a tuktuk! The kitchen area was OK but eating knives absent and trying to communicate this useless! Essentially they need some clarity of what their business is and deliver the appropriate service. The main man running it is the owners brother who is well meaning but really quite clueless. Someone with hospitality experience is needed if they want to offer hotel like services!
• Margaret (10/5): Perfect base for being inLuang Prabang. Clean and quiet but still in walking distance of centre. - Overlooking Mekong river. Very peaceful. Had all the facilities that we needed including a washing machine. It was super clean!! It had the best shower we have had the whole trip. We went for a private sunset cruise and we were picked up at the river’s edge right outside Sokview. This was arranged easily by the manager. She was lovely. Drain in shower needs to be unclogged. It drains but only slowly. The water supply to the washing machine leaks and the balcony got very wet went we did our washing.
