Guest Reviews
- Jonathan (9/5): - - organizing a driver. The location is a bit remote.
- good location for the monkey forest and the waterfalls in tetebatu
- renting a scooter was easy
- all services are easily available from the location
- the food at the accommodation was the best we had in tetebatu
- clean and well-maintained for Indonesian standard - the owner is pushing a little too much to use the services from the accommodation
- the services like the tetebatu tour are not transparent. The owner said fees are included, but later we had to pay again
- no mosquito net, but we were fine in October without a net
- KUNDIG (10/5): -
- Anna (9/5): - The accommodation is set right in middle of the jungle, with breathtaking views from your terrace and the rooftop breakfast spot! Surrounded by rice fields, and with the waterfalls and the monkey forest close by, the location ist a definite 10/10.
At first, there was an issue with my room, but the owner, Hermi, quickly sorted it out. I joined a fantastic tour with one of his friendly staff, Ameng, to Pergasingan Hill and the waterfalls (Kiu Kelep and Sendang Gile) – it was an amazing experience that I can highly recommend. Hermi also arranged my drive to Selong Belanak for a fair price, which made everything so convenient. Issue with the room at first, however it could be sorted out quickly.
The coffee at breakfast wasn't my cup of tea.
- Zeilei (10/5): Perfect Homestay in the middle of Ricefields -
- Lukas (10/5): - Super freundliches Personal!
- Giulia (10/5): - The staff and the owner of Fullmoon in Tetebatu were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was very warm and familiar, and we felt completely at ease. The food was excellent. The homestay is located on the edge of the rice fields, offering a beautiful view of the surrounding nature, which we really enjoyed. Fullmoon is perfectly situated for trips to waterfalls, rice terraces, and the Monkey Forest. The room was simply furnished but had everything we needed and was very clean. Overall, our stay was very pleasant, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home and to ensure we had an unforgettable experience. We can highly recommend Fullmoon and would definitely stay there again on our next visit to Tetebatu.
- Bader (10/5): - Sehr netter Besitzer.
- Adrian (10/5): Authentic, simple and beautiful - Beautiful view, great Services, authentic Experience and nice people. The host showed us around the region and was very kind and helpful. Nothing. If you have the right expectation for a simple but lovely accomodation you'll have a great time.
- Samia (10/5): Hidden sanctuary in the village surrounded by lush green rice fields - In the midst of the green rice fields and only a short walk from the monkey forest and Tetebatu waterfalls. You can also see Mount Rinjani in the background while sitting outside on the veranda or on the rooftop restaurant. The views are just incredible and Hermi, the owner and his staff Aming and Raul with their dog Bob were so incredibly friendly and helpful with arranging day trips and transportation and preparing delicious meals. I had a really pleasant time staying at the Fullmoon bungalow, so much as I kept extending twice. Daily breakfast is included in the room booking. I had lunch and dinner (vegetarian) on several occasions and can recommend the food which is offered at a reasonable price.
For full disclosure: you can hear the call to prayer and recitations from the mosques across the river inside the room. If you want to sleep in, I’d suggest you better bring some earplugs. I didn’t mind as I’m an early morning person and could enjoy the sunrises every day! There’s only one small sign and I had to ask for the way as I kept missing it.
- Samia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christian (10/5): Exceptional - I hade an amazing time the owner the the boys are absolutely amazing! -
- Christian (10/5): Since they only have 3 rooms it is always a very personal experience. We can just recommend everyone to go there and hav - Best Homestay in Tetebatu with the best people, we already miss them. nothing to complain about - all good
- Samuel (8/5): Very good -
- Julius (9/5): Quiet location in the Risfeld idyll - We had a wonderful and relaxed time here.
Hermi is a really friendly host and you can easily hire a motorbike through him.
The breakfast is solid and included in the price.
We particularly liked the fact that we were so far away from everything and could therefore enjoy the peaceful idyll (So a motorbike is quite useful to get somewhere).
We particularly enjoyed the tour through the rice fields and the Monkeyforrest with Rahul - he was a really great and friendly guide. The room smelled a little musty.
But that wasn't really bad for us.
- Jamila (10/5): Exceptional - We had a truly wonderful stay! The homestay is set in a beautiful location with views over the rice terraces. The team was incredibly welcoming, making us feel completely at home throughout our stay. The food was absolutely delicious. We loved every moment and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended!
- Sonka (9/5): Unforgettable experience!! - We had two wonderful days at Tetebatu Fullmoon! From a walking tour through the rice terrace to a snorkeling trip to the secret Gili islands. Hermi organised everything perfectly. We would totally recommend getting in contact with Hermi and Raoul!
- Natalia (8/5): Not too comfy for a long stay, but must visit because of the location and nicest people - Unforgettable scenery and the views, these rooftops are just amazing. Very nice and helpful owner, nice food. You feel immersed into the real living jungle (monkeys come around) and rice field local life, so many walking routes to explore around. Also owners doggies are adorable and hot water in the shower too :) Small sink, no regular cleaning, not comfy bedsheets, there’s no ac only fan because it’s in the mountains and it’s okay but the humidity still is not nice and you cannot get fresh air inside, minimal furniture
- Chassagne (10/5): Exceptional - My friend and I were looking to visit the cultural parts of Lombok, particularly the Indonesian rice paddies.
We were delighted with the welcome we received at the Fullmoon hotel. Hermi made us feel almost at home for 2 days, picked us up at Bangsal harbour and showed us around Central and North Lombok. A big thank you also to Raoul who prepared us some local dishes.
I'd highly recommend this extraordinary experience if you're looking to avoid the tourist spots and be immersed in the culture of Lombok!
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - We had such a fantastic stay at this property. The host family were so welcoming and even invited us to a family wedding, lending us the local dress. The highlight of a month in Indonesia! A net screen over the door to stop bugs coming in would be an improvement, but you are in the middle of the jungle so there's only so much that can be done.
- Julia (8/5): Recommended for a stay in Tetebatu - The rooftop has a nice view and the owner was really lovely
- Louise (8/5): Very good -
- Matthias (10/5): Awesome - So nice place to stay in Tetebatu. So relexing and everybody is so friendly and helpfull. nothing
- Marie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Billy (10/5): Will remember that vue forever - Great location, great people, great food, great dog! Wish i stayed longer
- John (10/5): A hidden gem that is well worth a stay. - Simple comfortable rooms in a remote community on the scenic southern slopes of Mt Rinjani. Host was so welcoming and friendly. Delicious breakfast and outstanding coffee served on a roof terrace above the rooms. Spectacular panoramic view from the terrace of the local landscape, including Mt Rinjani, if the clouds part. Walkable to the nearby Monkey Forest - which was fun. Options to tour the surrounding rice terraces/waterfalls were available but we had to move on. Absolutely recommend a stay here. No negatives - few tips, though. Difficult to find, but the host is very available on WhatsApp to guide you in. Be aware that the local mosque is nearby, which will ensure you make an early start to your day.
- Charlotte (10/5): Best place to stay in Tetebatu! - The location is amazing, amongst the rice terraces and next to the monkey forest, and it’s really peaceful. The highlight has to be the staff, they are so friendly and helpful, they really made us feel at home. On top of that they also cook all of the food from scratch. The chicken curry and fried noodles were delicious!! We would definitely come back and would recommend to anyone going to Tetebatu!
- Yihang (9/5): Superb - the master has very warm heart and treats me as a family member. He greeted me before the accommodation warmly and sent his cousin to pick me up from the lembor port. The view and scenary is really good and bed is comfortable. He also helped me book the Rinjani Trip at a low price. Really appreciate for knowing this place.
- Felix (10/5): Exceptional - Location is great, rooms are great, restaurant is great and the best: very lovely owner and staff working there doing their best so we could have a really good time in Tete Batu! Highly recommend that place to stay!
- Elin (7/5): Good - The view is magnificent! Staff is friendly. The tour around Tetebatu was great! The room smelled of mould and the bed was uncomfortable.
- Christina (10/5): Exceptional - Staying here was the highlight of my travels! Absolutly beautiful surroundings with rice fields, waterfalls and the monkey forest in walking distance. I had only booked one night but ended up staying four nights. The staff was very friendly and happy to help with everything. Hermi took a lot of time to show me around and was an absolutly amazing guide. He spend five days with me and made it an unforgettable experience. If you are looking to go to Tetebatu, this is the place to stay!
- Francisco (9/5): Superb - All the staff was awesome, but halik, who was our guide, was a really good worker and he is the nicest person in Tetebatu! we miss you. if you don’t have a scooter or car, is more difficult to move around the area, but you can hire the guide services in the hotel
- Allen (7/5): Could be better - Location is isolated and surrounded by rice fields. Location was quite difficult to find, we needed help from some locals to find it. Place was overbooked so we had to stay in a secondary room with only a tiny window (not like the ones advertised).
- Lukas (10/5): Loved our stay at Fullmoon! Highly recommended! - We really enjoey our stay at Fullmoon! The stay is located right in the middle of a rice terace with absolutely amazing view of the surrounding nature. Our host has been very caring and helped us wherever he could.
Can't recommend staying here enough! 10/10
- Chantal (10/5): great stay in fullmoon tetebatu - hermi is a very good host, tour guide, cook and taxi driver. very nice location in the rice fields
- Tuukka (9/5): Superb - Amazing view near volcano and rice fields. Staff was really nice and welcoming, special thanks to young man Alex. If wanted, also a trip around rice fields, waterfalls and monkey forest is arranged. Even though the location is beautiful, it's quite difficult to reach. Totally worth it though.
- Zuzana (9/5): Most beautiful view with the best host - We absolutely loved our stay! Hermi, the owner, was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. He gave us good advice what places worth visit, he cooked good dinner and breakfest for us, furthermore we spend fun time with him. The chilling under the stars on the terrace in the night and having breakfast with the most beautifull view on the ricefields and mountains in the morning made our stay very special. The location is perfect, you can go by walk to Monkey forest or to the waterfalls nearby. I highly recommend this place. We will be back for sure.
Thank you for everything! The way to the accomodation is challenging on scooter, but Hermi is helping if there is a problem with it.
- Maria (10/5): Great stay!! Lovely surroundings and friendly staff - The place is located in the amazing area, the view for the whole valley and the Mount Rinjani, rice fields etc. You can sit on the common terrace and enjoy the view. The owner is really friendly, made us amazing banana pancakes for the breakfast and I also liked the room, it was very simple, but the bed was comfortable. There was no air-con, but there was a fan, and it was enough as in the night the temperature drops to probably around 19/21 degrees. Also, the owner was really helpful and arranged the tour with a local guide, we walked around about 5 hours, visited waterfalls, nice fields, monkey forest and it was soooo great! Totally recommend The mosques around are really noisy, but that's not something the host can change.
- Gina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrea (9/5): Superb -
- López (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mohd (9/5): Beautiful scenery from the homestay! - Breakfast is a good banana pancake. I like it The homestay itself is a walking distance away from the street, had to go through small hills
- Mattia (9/5): really nice and relaxing spot - The owner is very friendly and it was a pleasure to spend some time chatting with him. The place is amazing in the middle of the rise fields. I would suggest to stay there.
- Matthias (9/5): Superb -
- Campbell (10/5): Totally amazing - Words cannot explain how beautiful this place is. A gem hidden in the middle nature. I did not stop smiling the duration of my stay here. Not only was this due to the natural beauty you are surrounded by, but the staff made this stay one to remember. Yudi, Aming, Garding and Hermi, thank you so much for everything. I’ve made some new life long friends at the full moon.
If you like nature, peace & good vibes, this is the place for you. No stress at the full moon.
- Aline (9/5): Superb - We highly recommend Tetebatu Fullmoon. The team is nice and helpfull, and the location is amazing in the ricefields. It is good value for money. We did the Rinjani second summit with them and it was great, with had a lot of fun with Ameng, Udi & Saleh. We hope to come back one day !
- Peter (10/5): All in all it was an truly amazing Lombok adventure. A definite recommendation for Tetebatu Fullmoon - We spent four amazing days at the Tetebatu Fullmoon guesthouse. Hermi and his team couldn't do enough to make sure we had a fantastic stay. The staff were fun, full of conversation and were happy to share a rice wine with you in the evening. The food was freshly cooked and delicious.
The location is absolutely spectacular, perched on the edge of a lush green paddy terrace with clear views the imposing Mount Rinjani. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the sunny roof terrace with the backdrop of Rinjani while our breakfast was being cooked for us. The rooms were new, clean with very comfortable beds plus hot showers.
Hermi made sure that we got to tour the rice fields, were educated about all the local crops, trees and fruits that are grown in the area, visited numerous breathtaking waterfalls and watched the long-tailed black monkeys in the Tetebatu Monkey Forest. Additionaly, we were lucky enough to take in a Lombok stick fighting event.
Getting there and away was easy as Hermi collected us and arranged the onward journey at excellent rates.
- Dix (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (9/5): Superb -
- Luca (10/5): Exceptional - Tetebatu Fullmoon is the place to go. Beautiful surroundings, stunning views, lots of quiet and good vibes, rooms comfy and spacious. The owner and the staff are the best you can find: really welcoming people. We shared happy moments with them, we felt at home. The owner Hermi can arrange excursions if you need them or recommend where to go by yourself. We did the second summit Sangkareang trekking with the guide Boko and friends Yudi and Doni, it was an excellent experience. The food is yummy, Ameng is a top chef. Missing Tetebatu, see you soon
- Vieve (10/5): Wake up in the paradise. - This place is a gem like if you are searching for a stay in the mountains. Rice fields are at your doorstep and a magical waterfall is just a 20min walk. Ameng can help you get around for a small fee and we liked his company in the evening. They are still new in the business so we had a real authentic tetebatu experience.
- Liliána (10/5): Definitely a rebook for the future - If you want a real Lombok experience, come here. The accomodation is in front of a big rice terrace, the nature is beautiful there, you can see a lot of monkeys down in the walley. If the weather is clear you can see the cliffs of the beautiful rinjani mountain and the summit as well, at night the sky is amazing because there is no light pollution. Hermi, the owner of the place was one of our best host so far, everything we asked, he was there to help us. The staff was brilliant, Ameng cooks very well, usually he makes the food hot and spicy but you can ask them for the no chili version 🤪. If you want to discover the village, we recommend to ask Hermi for a local guide because they will take you trough unsigned path on the ricefields what you can’t see by your own. They will show you the black monkeis in the forest and the waterfalls of Tetebatu where you can swim also. We spent in fullmoon 4 nights and it was the best part of our Lombok 3 weeks adventure. We hope that we will meet again! Big thanks for ZAAAANI to showing this place because that s how we could book it! That we had to leave!
- Simone (10/5): Wonderful place! - Everything super new, well organized and very clean. The rooms are spacious, with super comfortable mattresses and a sensational view - sleeping and waking up surrounded by trees and listening to the river, is an incredible peace. The food is delicious, very tasty and well served. The staff are like a new family to us, all so lovely, always having a good conversation.
One of the nicest places I've ever stayed, the only bad thing is saying goodbye. -
- Inga (6/5): Pleasant - The staff is really lovely and the view is incredible! The room is very very simple, but for the price it is good. The bed was clean. Breakfast was good. We did not like that the owner constantly tried to sell us his tours.
The bathroom smelled a bit.
- Isabelle (9/5): Excellent - The views were spectacular from the bedrooms and all the food was delicious and freshly made to order. The owner was the highlight of our trip as he was very friendly and attentive, offering us lifts everywhere and suggestions for things to do around the area. A must stay for Lombok Nothing
- Anonymous (9/5): We would really reccomend the tetebatu fullmoon! - We really enjoyed our stay at fullmoon. We stayed there for two nights. The nature was really beautiful and the hosts were friendly and helped us with everything.
Also the food was very delicious. Nothing
- Eleanor (8/5): Beautifully located guesthouse with amazing hosts. Tetebatu is the hidden gem of Lombok, and full moon is the perfect pl - Great location, it’s situated in the rice fields and has the best view of mount rinjani in all tetebatu. You can eat breakfast and look at the mountain. Stars look amazing at night too.
The staff were the highlight. Super friendly and welcoming. You felt like family. As it’s still less than one month old, it’s missing a couple things (mirror, soap in bathroom, towel hook). The bed is pretty stiff and you need earplugs (as you would anywhere in Lombok)
- Amelia (10/5): Really cool, great facilities and offers tours of nearby rice fields and waterfalls. - The staff and hospitality were so nice, welcoming and incredibly helpful. The location is amazing with beautiful views of the rice fields and mountain, and within walking distance to monkey Forrest and water falls. Food was all freshly sourced and delicious. Nothing!
- Klaudia (10/5): Recommended local bussines - View from bungalows is amazing and staff is the most welcoming we’ve met in our 1 year long trip. We went for a trip to coffee place and bamboo crafts with the boss and we ate the most delicious urap urap in Indonesia!
Bungalows are simple, but clean. It’s difficult to find the right way. Go to Monkey Forest Warung and ask for the right way.
- Songul (10/5): Amazing stay with views of Rinjani, great price-quality. - Amazing location with great views of the Rinjani. The host was really kind and immediately fixed us up with a transfer and walking tour within an hour of arriving. Terima kasih! Everything was great.
- Aaron (10/5): Exceptional - the staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. the views are crazy. new place overlooking ricefields and the volcano. highly recommend.
- Albin (10/5): Exceptional - Great place, clean new rooms, freindly hosts, very tasty food. Best view of the volcano and rice fields! Best place in Tetebatu!
- Lugan (10/5): A true local experience ! - i loved the place in the middle of the rice fields !
but also the kindness and hospitality of Her and Ameng, they are two amazing local guys who knows how to receive their guests.
don’t hesitate to ask them about what to do around, Ameng is a young local guy who will give and even drive you to the best places ☺️ almost nothing, it’s a little remote but it feels so good to chill and rest while visiting tetebatu.
- Marcela (9/5): Beautiful place - The staff guys are very nice, they show me local products, art, rice fields, waterfalls around and more. They cook very good too. The place is very peaceful and have a beautiful view. The room have a lot of space and a good bed. Maybe find the place could be a challenge because is a new Bungalows, but if you ask to local people they will show you the way. The road is not the best, but is OK.
