• Joanne (10/5): A lovely, cosy and quiet stay with lovely views and excellent amenities. - The cottage was very well equipped, clean and information provided by the hosts was great. The hot tub was heated on our arrival and details on how to maintain it were clear. The bed was very comfortable and the provision of robes was a lovely touch.

• Erin (10/5): Beautiful cottHe perfect for a weekend away ☺️ - Stayed for 2 nights and didn’t want to leave, can’t fault It all. Well presented and spotless. Had everything that we needed bottle of Prosecco and robes where left with little chocolates was a beautiful touch. Relaxing in the hot tub and watching the donkeys in the next field. Would 100% recommend to anyone needing a little escape.

• catherine (10/5): Great get away - The dressing gowns and bottle of bubbly where a surprise and totally appreciated the hot tub being turned on well before our arrival. Bed was comfortable and linen was spotless. Plenty of toilet paper, kitchen equipment, well furnished. Very tastefully decorated and styled. There were lots of birds chirping, bats, green fields Nothing, only comment would be perhaps plant some trees along the road to soak up some of the traffic noise, but that is just me as I suffer with audioprocessing.

Amazing chocolate box cottage, very tastefully decorated, spotless, idyllic scenery, fabulous hot tub, what more could anyone ask for. Such a relaxing time at this amazing cottage, full credit to Michael and Stephanie, what an amazing place yous have created ❤️ Loved absolutely everything
• Rodney (9/5): This is a lovely quiet place to stay in a rural setting with onsite parking and close access to walks and town. - Lovely recently newly built cottage, fully equiped, warm, quiet and private rural location. Good location to nearby Silent Reservoir and walks and coast. It has an outdoor spa but we didn’t use it. Host Michael was very helpful when we had a flat tyre . Nothing except we had a problem with the internet password. I suggest improving the onsite written advice for guests.
• Michael (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage and outdoor area was spotless. Such a beautiful character to the cottage, coupled with the most outstanding views of the Mourne mountains. Truly a fantastic get away for couples. Plus, a woodfired hot tub, that was a fantastic addition to an already perfect property and location. -

• Kelly (10/5): Exceptional - Wildthorn cottage is absolutely beautiful. The hosts have made this place so welcoming, and their extra little treats are so thoughtful. It is spotless clean and has everything to make your stay so comfortable and enjoyable. We loved getting away from the stresses of everyday life and unwinding. The views are stunning, especially at night when the sunsets. We loved the hottub, sitting there relaxing, taking in the surrounding views. The donkeys next to the cottage were also so adorable. We couldn't recommend this place enough. It is honestly one of the best places we have stayed in. Check in and check out so straightforward. Thank you for having us. There is nothing I would have changed about this place.

It’s surrounded by the most beautiful countryside with amazing views, it has a really relaxing atmosphere, the hot tub was an added bonus. Overall it was picture perfect and the perfect place to unwind for a few days. Not a thing, loved it all, every inch, beautifully put together.

• Avril (10/5): Just what we needed!! - The cottage is just perfect. Great location for Newcastle Kilkeel and all the walks. We arrived to a bottle of champagne. The hot tub had been filled with clean water and the stove was lit.
• Niamh (10/5): The perfect getaway - The cottage was absolute perfection! We enjoyed everything about our stay here. The location was beautiful! The swing was the perfect place for a morning coffee, listening to the birds sing and the hot tub at night, under the stars, was the icing on the cake!!! We will definitely book to stay again in this little haven in the heart of the Mournes.
