Guest Reviews
- Bryan (5/5): Not luxury, and should be priced accordingly - The setting is beautiful. The "resort" offers plenty of easy riverside trails to walk to enjoy the beautiful scenes.
The main pool and hot tub is nice and feels clean. There are also nice playgrounds for the kids and basketball courts.
It is about 2 miles to a grocery store, restaurants and a coffee shop. The apartment was not so "luxury." It's definitely smaller than anticipated. There is no AC, so the first day we arrived it was extremely warm inside the apartment. We had to open all the windows at night, including the back door to allow it to cool down.
The wifi is horrid inside the apartment. Oftentimes we resorted to the clubhouse wifi. The clubhouse is just up the driveway about 50 yards or so. There really is no excuse for how bad the wifi is when the clubhouse can rock such a great range. With no cell coverage, it's important to have wifi to be connected to the outside world if needed and for kids to stay entertained after being outside exploring so much.
One of the pools was down for maintenance while we were here, which is a shame too because it was in the clubhouse that is nearest to the apartment. It's very run down and dirty anyway, which may be why it was down, but I don't like how the resort was marketed having two pools but only one was usable.
The check-in process was also a bit odd. In the instructions it made it seem like the required office was on site, though before the actual resort. We drove to the resort and found the only office, only for it to be closed earlier than what was explained. However, it was the wrong office. The office we needed to stop at is back in the "downtown" area of Glacier (next to the grocery store). This all took about an hour to figure out unfortunately.
All in all I felt the stay wasn't quite worth the price. Using the word "luxury" in the name of the company that books this apartment is a bit misleading. It sure isn't luxury.
- Amy (8/5): Great place for getting away from the world. - Beautiful location on bank of Nooksack river. Warm in the summer afternoons upstairs. The DSL internet barely works and without it there is no TV or ability to communicate. Great for disconnecting from the world but not great if you were expecting something else.
- Mary (9/5): Superb - Location is great, love staying in the condos and not hearing hotel type of noises.
