• Anthony (10/5): A perfect stay in a perfect location with perfect hosts. - Flinders is a traditional Amsterdam property. Narrow and quaint, it provided the perfect ‘home’ whilst we visited the city. It gave us the feel of a completely personal experience as opposed to the cold feel of an hotel room. Mary-Grace and Anna were also the perfect hosts. They were so friendly and provided everything we needed including coffee, snacks and made us feel right at home. Nothing really was too much trouble. Flinders is also perfectly situated in terms of Centraal Station and all of Amsterdam’s great attractions. There was nothing not to like.

• Michelle (9/5): Excellent Flinder find - Excellent location for easy access to shops, canals, restaurants, train station etc, very clean with a lovely, helpful and informative host. Authentic style and feel to the room, decent size for a city centre, comfy bed, perfect for a weekend stay. Kitchenette was very basic, fridge, kettle, coffee maker and microwave, plates and cutlery. It was fine for all we needed but if staying longer and planning on eating in, it's quite basic. The stairs are also the traditional narrow winding Dutch set up, which would be tricky if someone had mobility issues as there is no lift.

• Diana (9/5): Excellent home away from home. - It was very conveniently located near the train station, restaurants, and trams and canal boats for getting around and seeding the city. The room was quiet and comfortable and equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, tea kettle, and Nespresso machine. Mary Grace was a delightful and helpful host. The stairs were very steep and narrow but did not bother us. We were aware of them when we booked it. Plus Mary Grace helped get our suitcases up.

• Tim (10/5): MaryGrace, an Exceptional host in Amsterdam. - The host, Mary Grace, was extremely helpful and even helped us carry our suitcases up the stairs as my wife had her arm in a plaster cast. The room was in an iconic traditional Dutch residence with a very comfortable bed and modern bathroom. There is a refrigerator, electric kettle and microwave which made the room feel like home. Mary Grace informed us of great restaurants in the area and the local attractions in Amsterdam. Nothing, everything was perfect.
• Carol (10/5): Nice host, great location, warm stay. - The B&B is just 5 mins walk from Amsterdam central station. Mary Grace is a friendly caring and helpful host and Moby is her lovely pet dog. The room is clean and Mary Grace will clean up the room everyday. I also like the air con in the room as well. Although stairs in the B&B is a bit terrible for travellers with big suitcases, Mary Grace will help you bring up and down the suitcases. No worries.
• Elena (9/5): - This small hotel occupies the upper floor of an old house close to the Central station. Due to this the room is a very cozy and typical for Amsterdam with a narrow staircase and a high roof with an open wooden construction. The room is equipped with the microwave, the coffee machine, the cattle and fridge. The place is very quite far from the lively quarters, but close to Herengracht and Singel, as well as tram station. During my stay the weather was cold, rainy and windy. The only option of heating in the room was an old air conditioner, what was not enough to heat the space under the 4m high roof.

Ev sahibi her şeye yardımcı oluyor nerede yemek yiyebileceğinize kadar, kendimi evimde hissettim hiç yabancılık çekmedim. Özellikle temizlik iyiydi, yatak yastık rahattı, duşta şampuan ve saç kremi bile vardı. Mikrodalga kahve makinesi kettle buzdolabı tabak bardak hepsi vardı ve temizdi. Yine gelsem yine burada kalırım. Merdivenler.. ama klasik bir evde kalmak istiyorsanız bunu göze almalısınız

It was a typical Dutch building, full of charm and history, but with a wonderfully quirky twist that made it feel unique and memorable. The architecture had all the classic elements you’d expect, yet there were surprising details and little eccentric touches throughout that gave it personality. It felt authentic rather than overly polished, which made the stay much more special. Overall, it struck a perfect balance between traditional Dutch style and playful individuality. • Briony (10/5): A friendly and cosy getaway ☺️ - Mary-Grace was an exceptional host who was friendly, warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and she was always happy to help. Had it not been for her kindness on our travel day, this trip could have been completely different! The hotel is in an exceptional location, close to the station and the centre, in walking distance to everything, but still in a quiet area so we could get a good nights sleep after a busy day. The rooms were cosy and comfortable with everything you needed. Mary-Grace also provided us with recommendations of places to visit and to eat which we found very helpful. If I were ever to stay in Amsterdam again I wouldn’t hesitate to book to stay here again thanks to the hospitality of Mary-Grace (and adorable little Moby) Nothing!

• Lucy (10/5): Beautiful and cosy apartment in central Amsterdam - We loved absolutely everything! Such a beautiful room, with everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable. The room was super cosy and warm and the little treats were a lovely touch. The apartment is really conveniently located, just a few minutes walk from Central Station, as well as lots of cafes and restaurants, and Amsterdam's many canals. Mary Grace was the perfect host - caring, attentive and helpful. She came to our rescue when our flight was cancelled last minute due to snow, and couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. Thank you Mary Grace (and Moby) for a fabulous stay! We loved everything!

В номере есть все, что нужно для недолгого проживания, даже столовые приборы и холодильник. Снэки тоже были очень кстати. Номер уютный и чистый. Спасибо, 100% рекомендую Обратите внимание что не подходит для людей с проблемами мобильности (узкие, крутые лестницы).

• Chantal (10/5): Very nice and comfy stay in midwinter close to CS in a 1700 old Adam house! - De location, wich is very close to Central Station and the old 17 centry building, is very cute. The owners dog, plus the owner itself who is very sweet and kind are a plus. The room is comfy. Even in winter it was nice. Electrical heating, and had my own fridge, coffee and tea facility, and a microwave. All very handy. Dimm lights in the room as well as bright. All was ok.

• Janina (10/5): - One of the best stays we’ve ever had 🥰 Staying at Flinder Amsterdam was truly one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. Everything was simply perfect. Our room was in the attic, beautifully designed, and incredibly quiet. Even though the hotel is just one street away from all the action, the room was sooooo peaceful, it felt like a little oasis. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we really appreciated the great amenities like the fridge, kettle, and everything else you could need to feel at home. But the absolute highlight of our stay was the staff. Mary Grace and Ana are two of the kindest, friendliest, and most helpful people we have ever met. They truly made our stay magical and unforgettable. And of course, Moby the dog added an extra special touch, we loved him! 🐾 We had the best time and would recommend Flinder to absolutely everyone. It’s a must-stay in Amsterdam. Thank you so much again to Mary Grace, Ana, and Moby – we will definitely be back. Thanks for everything! 💛

• Kühne (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Amsterdam. - I had an absolutely wonderful stay. My host was incredibly kind, attentive, and always easy to reach whenever I needed something. It truly felt a bit like coming home. The room had everything I could have wished for — a small fridge with complimentary welcome drinks, a little oven, cutlery, and even a coffee machine. The location is more than premium, and for Amsterdam standards the room was impressively spacious. The bathroom was spotless and very well maintained. I can highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Amsterdam who is looking for a beautiful, extremely clean, and perfectly located place to stay. I would happily come back anytime. There was absolutely nothing to complain about. I would recommend it to everyone.

• Miguel (9/5): Nice historic home, excellent location - Historic home built in 1777. Location is ideal and owner is a super host. There are many restaurants on the next street over and many points of interest are walkable from this location including the central train station. The bathroom does not vent well so it stays very humid after showering. It can eventually dry out with bedroom windows open or heater running. Tight staircase up to the 4th floor is a challenge with luggage but it is doable.

• Allan (8/5): A cheerful host in a well maintained typical Amsterdam residence. - The location was spot on. Close to the canals for leisurely walks admiring the architecture. We revisited the rijksmuseum early in the day to avoid the crowds. Jordann area was safe and lots of bars, restaurants. The room was airy and comfortable with roof line metres above. The room facilities was as described. The hot water flowed well in the shower. Mary Grace was attentive and personable. Moby the shitzu watchdog was a treat. Snacks were readily available. Nothing was too much trouble. As described there are 3 levels of steep stairs which are challenging for the aged. Be aware large bags may pose a problem getting them both up and down.

Die Lage zur Amsterdam Centraal Station und zur Innenstadt ist hervorragend. Kleine Geschäfte und Lokale sind in unmittelbarer Nähe. Es ist sehr ruhig. Besonders die Gastfreundlichkeit von Mary Grace verdient ein großes Lob.

• Sarah (9/5): Everything we needed for a perfect stay in Amsterdam! - Clean & organized. Coffee bar with Nespresso/kettle & refrigerator. Flat screen tv with ability to use Netflix! Big bathroom with nice shower. Great location, able to walk anywhere and also very close to Amsterdam Centraal (10 minute walk). Our host Mary-Grace was so lovely and kind. She was very attentive to anything we needed and we were able to message her on WhatsApp at any time! She also has a dog named Moby who was so cute and friendly! We were prepared for this as we read previous reviews - however, since it is a traditional Amsterdam building built in the 1700’s it has the original staircase which is VERY steep - if you have mobility issues this is not the location to choose. Otherwise, Mary-Grace helped us carry our bags and you get used to it after a few days.
• Danielle (8/5): - A Pleasant Stay with a Few Important Notes My partner and I recently had an enjoyable stay at Flinder Amsterdam. The location is great, situated right near the city center and main train station, making it easy to walk to many of Amsterdam's most famous museums and attractions. The proximity to public transportation, including Amsterdam Central Station, was also a significant advantage for exploring the wider city. The room itself was a great size, providing plenty of space to relax and unpack. While we thoroughly enjoyed our visit, there are a couple of things that future guests should be aware of, as they are not typical for a traditional hotel. First, this accommodation is a bed and breakfast located within someone's home. If you're someone who prefers a high level of privacy and the more anonymous feel of a standard hotel, this might not be the best fit for you. Secondly, and perhaps most surprisingly for a place billed as a "bed and breakfast," no breakfast options were provided during our stay. While this wasn't a major issue for us, as we had plenty of room in the hotel room and found lovely cafes nearby, it's something to keep in mind if you are expecting the "breakfast" part of the experience in a dining space. Overall, if you are looking for a well-located, comfortable, and spacious room in Amsterdam and don't mind the personal, guesthouse-style atmosphere, Flinder Amsterdam is a wonderful choice.

In spite of the proximity to everything the room was incredibly quiet. We could access everything Amsterdam had to offer but still escape to a little island of serenity in the room. The room was well equipped with a small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker as well as plates, bowls, cups and silverware. She even included snacks and a cold water bottle in the refrigerator. This is a very small property with just two rooms, she makes it feel more like you're a guest in her house rather than someone in an generic hotel. And her dog is super cute and greets you (dog doesn't come up to the guest rooms). We liked everything, but this is not a good place if you have mobility issues. This is a traditional Dutch house which means multiple flights of very steep stairs. If you have a hard time with stairs this is probably not a good opiton.
• Phil (8/5): We look forward to a future stay at Flinder Amsterdam. - Host Mary Grace welcomed us and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The room was well equipped with fridge/Nespresso/microwave, the bed was comfortable and the large bathroom was updated. The location was excellent. As advertised and given the neighbourhood access to the room did require ascending steep stairs but this was not a particular burden. And the hosts were more than willing to assist if required.
