• David (10/5): Perfect quiet getaway in rural location but close to Loch and Balmaha - Beautiful old building in a stunning location Nothing really. Upstairs bedrooms are really nicely finished and cosy. Downstairs area including bathroom are more functional but cosy with the wood burner on.

Braved a stomp up Ben Lomond, the views were worth the two days of leg ache afterwards - Despite the very parky weather outside, Christmas Cottage was warm and welcoming on our arrival. A lovely farmhouse cottage full of charm in an absolutely stunning location.

• Frans (9/5): Very friendly and supportive host - Biggest positive surprise was there is basked with children's books in one of the bedrooms. The kids loved it.
• Dominik (10/5): Beautiful historic cottage surrounded by nature - Beautiful house, several hundred years old but tastefully renovated and furnished. We enjoyed chatting with the friendly owner. Overall a wonderful experience – actually much nicer than we expected from the pictures :)

• Radek (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful house in a beautiful location. Very tastefully furnished interior. Solitude quiet and beautiful nature around, in the evening a fire in the fireplace and comfort. Owners very pleasant and helpful. A place we would love to return to sometime.
• Michelle (10/5): Amazing! Perfect.and loved our hosts! - The views from the garden were amazing. Sue and her husband were such lovely hosts, friendly, helpful, and very warm and easy. As were the dogs. The cottage was recently renovated and everything worked well. The bed in primary bedroom is very firm. The out of the way location was perfect for us. Super quiet but only a 15 minute drive to the cute village of balmaha and nearby larger village of Drymen. Also the Ben Lomond hike trailhead was a 5 minute drive up the road. Perfect! The dogs were super friendly but barked a little bit. Didn’t bother us. Would be nice to have bathroom in second floor but it worked for our small family.

It has been very thoughtfully and stylish decorated by the owners, who were friendly and helpful. The location is very close to Loch Lomond, with fabulous views, and we went for some beautiful (& one very snowy!) walks. Overall, we really enjoyed it our time here, and we hope to be back. We had no criticisms.

Sue and Duncan were fantastic hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. In fact they really went over and above expectations. The cottage was cosy and full of character. It was well equipped with enough of everything you need. it was only a few minutes by car to shops . It is situated in beautiful countryside close to mountains and lochs. Fabulous walks on the doorstep. We hired bikes nearby. We will definately go again. to be honest....there wasn't anything that we did not like!

• Alison (8/5): Unbeatable location. One week wasn't enough for all the things we wanted to do! - Ideal location with both Ben Lomond and Loch Lomond in view from the accommodation. Right on the Trossachs National Park with more bens and lochs on the doorstop which made for a great outdoor experience. Stunning views! Really liked that the accommodation was on a working farm. Enjoyed watching the sheep shearing! Thanks to Sue and Duncan :) The cottage was quaint and the bedrooms were lovely. Shopping at Conic Craft in Drymen, a short drive away, concluded our stay very nicely. We purchased some beautifully crafted gifts there :) The shower pressure was weak. After a full day of walking and physical activity outdoors, we would have liked the shower to work better.
