Guest Reviews
- Luke (10/5): Perfect - Location was perfect. Room was clean and comfortable. Fridge being outside the room was a little inconvenient.
- Sandra (8/5): Becky was really helpful and answered questions quickly. - It was convenient for our needs Bathroom needs brighter lighting
A full length mirror would help
- Daniel (1/5): - The bathroom had a really bad smell. And the bedding didn't look clean neither. So bad experience the night we spent there
- judith (8/5): - nice having cereals for breakfast

- Claire (9/5): - Room was very comfortable and exceptionally clean.. Was in great location. Entrance is not very welcoming or in keeping with what is beyond the entrance!
- Robert (8/5): - Central quiet real coffee and a cafeteria
- Sean (8/5): -

- Amanda (10/5): - Didn’t have any
- Edward (10/5): -
- Rebecca (4/5): Check in nearly didn't happen - The room itself was clean and comfortable. However access was fairly difficult - it was self check in only, and we didn't receive the check in information until 6:30pm on the night of our stay, and nobody answered when we called the given phone number when we arrived around 5:00pm. Thankfully the restaurant staff in tbe bar below finally figured out our room numbers and got us in, but we were very worried we would have to find new accommodation in Stoke instead.
- Kerry (10/5): Excellent - Perfect location, spotlessly clean. 2nd stay here and won't be the last.
- Adele (8/5): Fantastic property very central and a lovely comfy bed - Beautiful property and very comfortable The milk wasn’t as fresh as could be
- Sheila (10/5): -
- Darren (10/5): Stayed for work I would recommend this place & will be staying again soon - Room was great
- Laura (7/5): -
- Christine (9/5): Lovely comfy room, close to lots of local amenities - Lovely clean room. Cereals and tea/coffee available. Milk and water in fridge on landing. If small fridge was in the room would have improved score, but we were aware of this, and to be honest wasn’t a big problem.
Ideally located for numerous restaurants and bars. We had booked for Beartown brewery tour which was only 5 minutes away so perfect for our requirements. The stairs to the property could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues.
- Amanda (10/5): -
- Fubler (5/5): It was okay other the the cleanliness of it. - The property was okay. No major issue per say. I didn’t like the fact that, it was so much dust on the head board of the bed which irritated my sinuses the entire stay. It was dirty in the draw of the desk. The cleaning could definitely be better.
- Rebecca (10/5): -
- Jake (10/5): Was a great room for my stay in congleton - Location was great and room waa nice Getting to the room was quite difficult and took a long time if the restaurant was closed
- Vivienne (10/5): - Very clean and modern
- Sue (8/5): -
- David (8/5): -
- Darrell (10/5): quirky but very pleasant ! - it was in the middle of town stairs
- Harry (8/5): - Lack of signs to find property from the car park
- kim (9/5): Beautiful, spacious, clean room. Perfect location. - Lovely room, very clean & spacious. No where to keep cold food / drinks
- Ian (8/5): Lovely room, good value. - Room was a lovely size, very large bed, plenty of space. Lots of hanging storage, lovely and clean room. Right on a Main Street but very little noise. Some nice touches, fridge in lobby with water and milk. Cereal, teas, coffees etc. in the room. Good shower, free WiFi. Parking close by and very cheap. The way in around the back was a little convoluted and it was very wet the weekend we stayed, so mud and puddles to manoeuvre.

- Andrew (7/5): Nice 2 night stay for a wedding. Would have been nice to see some staff there but that’s how it is. - Great location Rooms where very warm and beds smaller than advertised
- Francis (8/5): Very good - Nickel appointed, cosy room. Good bed, nice bathroom. Stagflation were very friendly and helpful Lack of full length mirror
- Jessica (9/5): Perfect stay for a wedding weekend - We needed a place to stay overnight for a wedding and this was perfect. The hosts were great and kindly allowed us to check in early which meant we could get ready in our room a huge help considering how far we had to travel that morning. The room itself was beautiful and the bed was so soft and comfortable. The shower in our room was also really good. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely stay here again if we ever find ourselves in the area. Like others have mentioned the rooms can get a bit warm but a fan was provided which made a big difference.
- Philip (10/5): -
- Louise (9/5): - Very clean and comfortable
- Steve (8/5): A Decent Spot. I Will Return. - The room was very clean and I got a great nights sleep.
Very modern with a great TV and everything you need for a night or two away.
The addition of the breakfast cereals in the room is a nice touch.
I ate a takeaway from the BBQ restaurant downstairs. It was fantastic. Secure parking would have been nice instead of having to use the pay and display car park at the rear of the building.
The beer on tap in the restaurant tasted very much like the lines hadn’t been flushed after a clean.
- Calogero (10/5): -
- Kerry (10/5): Fabulous - Great location and check in instructions Fire steps a bit tricky for elderly
- Alex (9/5): -
- James (10/5): -
- Kevin (8/5): Great room, would stay again - Nice and quiet wasn’t easy to find
- Brian (5/5): We were attending a very large party so we had friends and relatives to keep us entertained time - The room was great, and the bed comfortable
Just off the centre of town less than 5 minutes away.
tea and coffee with kettle was helpful for the cup a soups I would have given a much higher rating if the heating had worked we froze for the first 2 nights until a fan heater was supplied
An information card about the town and surrounding area for people who do not have friends or relatives in the town
A WIFI connection
- Rachel (10/5): Great hotel! - This is the 4th time we have stayed here and always have a good time here. It’s a great hotel in the ideal place and it’s reasonably priced as well. Only snag was the roadworks outside at 8am on a Sunday (but that isn’t anything that the hotel can control so won’t deduct anything for that). Very minor thing but the cups for the hot drinks were too small. There was one mug and a small teacup which quite frankly was like a thimble. The last time we stayed there was proper mugs.
- Sam (10/5): -
- Sam (10/5): Excellent - Room was well presented and very clean Nice cosy room located well in the city centre
- Brian (7/5): - Location was good for us. No problems with noise except for constant sound of alarm from next door. The bed was not very comfortable, sloped down one side .
- Ursula (9/5): -
- Martin (9/5): Good value - Cereal breakfast suited me because it’s Quick.
- Margaret (8/5): -
- Craig (9/5): -
- Charles (10/5): -
- Hannah (8/5): Centrally located, comfortable, good value rooms. - Nice decor. Comfortable. Spacious. Good WiFi. Complimentary bottled water. Breakfast cereals. Instead of coco pops/rice crispies I would have preferred more adult choices. e.g. Weetabix, Bran Flakes, Museli.
- Alison (10/5): - The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a large well equipped en-suite. Check in was easy with an informative email beforehand. Staff in the restaurant were helpful and friendly. Location was good and parking - free from 3pm till 8am - was adjacent.
- Peter (10/5): -
- gordon (9/5): -
- Annabelle (9/5): -
- Nicky (8/5): -
- David (7/5): Very serviceable for our short stay. - Stairway access to room. Loose stones out back were difficult to get heavy cases over.
- Mary (9/5): Lovely and confortable. Couldn't ask for better - Breakfast was a little extra
Confy bed
Nice room
Good licatiob The steps leading up to the rooms but not a big dislike
- june (8/5): -
- Jordan (8/5): -
- Louise (10/5): -
- James (10/5): Excellent! - Spotlessly clean, decent sized room and comfy bed. Quiet and secure accommodation, ideally located. Car parking is free after 3pm, but had to get up before 8am to pay for the car park and avoid a potential fine (after being at a wedding until the early hours, the night of our stay).
- James L Williams (8/5): Very good, would definitely visit again - Great location, very accessible, from the plentiful parking. The facilities in the room were great, plus there's great cafes minutes away. It was a particularly (unusually) warm day and the room was roasting, it is in an attic, the window doesn't open fully for safety reasons and there's no aircon. Its not a gamechanger, just the only issue
- Dawson (10/5): -
- Joanne (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Congleton - Loved this place! Great location with everything on your doorstep. Very luxurious rooms with everything you need and more. Exceeded my expectations. Self check in was easy and smooth and the car park at the back had ample parking. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit and highly recommend to anyone visiting Congleton. The cleaner was lovely too and gave us some great recommendations of places to visit in the area so will definitely be back for a longer stay.
- Peter (7/5): Good but please change the mattress and try to come to an agreement on the carpark at the rear, to avoid this issue. - Very nice decor and very clean. The mattress was very poor one side was very very soft the other side ok.
This should have been replaced long time ago. You’re paying 120 for the room and you have to get up before 8 am to avoid getting a parking fine from the carpark at the rear.
It’s has cameras in the carpark so probably a bill of £100 if you don’t get up and get a ticket on.
- Matthijs (8/5): Perfect - Location Shower could have been warmer
- Phoebe (10/5): Lovely rooms. Clean and good location - Lovely space Na
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Kelly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (10/5): What a great place to stay - Everything it’s was brilliant - would recommend and will definitely stay in the future Bed had sunk on one side on the upper part of the bed but still had a good sleep
- James (4/5): Great spot central to town - Great location and nice room Arrived and room was unclean after mix up with the cleaner
- Verity (8/5): Very comfortable, great location and spotlessly clean. - There was no breakfast option but the hotel did provide some snacks for breakfast with fresh milk. The rooms were too hot and accessing the rooms from the rear wasn't ideal.
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Very tidy room. All good
- Emily (9/5): A lovely find! - Clear instructions for entry
Wonderful room with everything you need (and want)
Beautiful furnishings and fixtures
Nice touches like quality tea and coffee and a fan left on for our arrival Nothing - I'd stay again without hesitation
- Debbie (10/5): Exceptional - Fabulous rooms, instructions very clear N/A
- Izzy (10/5): I stayed the night on my own which I hadn’t done before , I felt safe and at peace. I really appreciated the choice of t - The property felt cosy and safe Nothing
- Andrei (9/5): Superb -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gorman (10/5): Exceptional - Easy to access. Staff extremely friendly and assisting. The fan left on in the room, was a saviour. It was so hot. More than 1 chocolate sachet please. Fabulous
- Shelagh (9/5): Good value for money and a great base for enjoying the local sights. - Great location, easy access parking, clean room and en suite, comfy bed, simple self check-in, and helpful staff at the end of a phone. Room was hot but a fan was already in the room.
- Brook (9/5): Superb -
- Caroline (7/5): Good location for nights out and short drives to tourist areas. - Big room, good decor, easy parking, clear info by text. Effective fan was well used due to the heatwave. Breakfast was as expected (cereal, grab & go bar and croissant). Location good for walking to lots of good eateries and pubs in the town. A short drive to the beautiful Biddulph Grange gardens and Country park. Bed was a bit soft for my liking. The shared fridge on the landing struggled to keep the milk and water cold enough.
- Steven (8/5): Very good -
- Cooper (8/5): Lovely -
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (10/5): We had lunch in the restaurant downstairs, got to say, I wasn’t expecting the food to be as good as it was. Would defini - It was a quirky set up as in there’s no reception desk, but the room was really lovely with a few little added touches. Great location.
Would definitely stay again. Nothing
- Nicola (10/5): Perfectly clean and comfortable - The bed was extremely comfortable with lovely soft sheets. The bathroom gleamed. Great to have fresh coffee instead of instant. Easy contactless checkin.
- Seb (6/5): Lovely place but requires some maintenance - Lovely room and location Bed frame was broken causing one side of the mattress to fall into the frame considerably. Shower tray had a significant buckle in it as well.
