• Christine (9/5): - The rooms are large and comfortable, the location is excellent. My room was spotless, the bathroom was nice and the staff brought a pot of hot green tea everyday. I did wish they provided a coffee option. I would stay here again if given the opportunity just for the location alone.

• Claudia (8/5): Ideale per breve soggiorno. - Ottima posizione. Stanza abbastanza spaziosa e con i servizi basici adeguati per essere una Ryokan. Anche se è una struttura tradizionale, aggiungerei qualche presa in più, perché si sa, chi viaggia ha bisogno di ricaricare molta attrezzatura (cell, powerbank, fotocamere, ecc). Non mi è piaciuto l’obbligo di rientro entro le 23 e avrei preferito saperlo in fase di prenotazione.

Le signore sono molto gentili, mi ha snche preparato la colazione vegetariana (anche se poi non ho mangiato nulla perche è davvero molto particolare) Sui letti ci sono dei piumoni sofficissimi ma di un caldo atroce
• Maris (10/5): The most excellent stay in a small family run hotel at an exceptionally convenient location!!! - I adored our stay. Everything was perfect - the reception and all interactions with the owners were so helpful, sweet and kind. It's a small hotel, so you feel like a visitor at a home, not like an impersonal hotel guest. We were taken care of so well - and even despite the front desk being closed at night, the hosts woke up at night to let us out for a sunrise tour. Breakfasts were exceptional, rooms were spacious, location is excellent. And when one of us forgot a mobile battery in the room, the owners were quick to notice and send this to us. Really appreciate our stay, would return in a heartbeat the next time we're in Kyoto! Everything was absolutely perfect. Thank you so much!

• Holden (10/5): I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again. - It was central to everything. Great restaurants, shopping, transportation. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. The hot tea and little cookies and cold green tea in the refrigerator were appreciated. The hotel was quiet. The pillows were not too comfortable as there were too flat.

Hôtel tenu de manière familial, vous êtes accueilli avec l’hospitalité traditionnelle japonaise. Petit déjeuné excellent, délicieux ! Mais à partir de 8h. Kyoto passe d’une ville animée touristique à un calme absolu à partir de 22h. Donc aucun soucis de bruit. Hôtel ET quartier très propre.

• Tom (9/5): A great experience allowing me a glimpse into traditional Japanese culture. - Staff extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. Provided suggestions on local restaurants and transportation. Traditional Japanese breakfast was amazing, delicious, and contributed to my whole Japan visit. Grateful to have experienced traditional sleeping and eating arrangements. My room's patio door/window was 3 floors directly above the outdoor smoking area, so smoke from guests smoking outside drifted into my room leading me to close the patio door on beautiful weather days.

• Yan Ru (10/5): Beautiful Ryokan - This place is very convenient, close to Nishiki market and other shopping places. It is close to the station, so u can easily access Gion and other shrines. It's a very clean and beautiful place. The owner is very kind. The only downside is u have to come back at 11pm, but to be fair, if ur not a party person, this stay is fine. Most places in Kyoto open early in the morning and close early.

• Tim (10/5): Hervorragendes Ryokan im Herzen Kyotos. - Dieses Ryokan ist sehr traditionell, aber erfüllt trotzdem moderne Standards. Exzellente Zimmer, sauber und bequem. Das traditionelle japanische Frühstück ist absolut empfehlenswert und ein Muss für jeden Japan-Fan. Das Personal ist (eben typisch japanisch) äußerst hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das Ryokan befindet sich in der Nähe zur Teramachi-Straße, ist also sehr zentral gelegen. Die U-Bahn (Shijo-Station) ist zu Fuß erreichbar (ca. 15 Minuten Fußweg). Unbedingt ausprobieren: Das öffentliche Bad!

• Patricia (10/5): Absolutely over the top amazing - This Ryokan was absolutely fantastic. I used to live in Japan so I’ve stayed at many of them. The location was one block from everything you want to get to. The people who ran it were fantastic. The Japanese style breakfast was epic and a very, very reasonable price for what we received. The bedding was like sleeping on a cloud. We are ordering the bedding when we get home. We did not try the Japanese bath because I’ve done so many times and my teenagers did not want to. I would highly recommend this place and the staff were amazing. The owners both spoke English fluently as well. Although that is never a criteria for me when traveling. It was all exceptional
• Beatriz_B (9/5): - El ryokan es muy bonito y el personal amable. La habitación era muy bonita, el salón privado para desayunar también, la nevera era bastante grande, el desayuno era muy abundante. La situación al lado del mercado de Nishiki y calles de las galerías comerciales. Había una alfombra bastante sucia dentro de la habitación, en la zona de estar. El café muy mejorable (aunque era gratis, a caballo regalado...). No había ninguna opción de desayuno occidental o menos difícil de digerir que el tradicional japonés. Un poco lejos del metro (15 minutos caminando).

Je n'ai jamais aussi bien dormi que lors de mon séjour ici. Les futons sont d'une qualité et d'une douceur, j'avais l'impression d'être dans un nuage. • Barclay (10/5): Outstanding owners and staff and super location - Everyone at the ryoken was so lovely and accommodating. The room was super comfortable and the breakfast amazing. The location is steps away from Nishiki Market so you can duck in and get some tenghulu or matcha ice cream on your way out or back. But really the owners and staff were the stand outs. I cant rate them highly enough. Nothing! Everything was brilliant.

Very quiet location. Onsen was a bonus which was really enjoyed. Nice modern bathroom. It wasn’t quite as clean as other places we had stayed. If you have trouble getting up and down from the floor (sleeping and sitting at table to eat and drink) then I would probably recommend either a short stay or other type of accommodation.

Very close to many attractions in Kyoto and a super spacious traditional Japanese room with all the comforts you could need! Fresh cold and hot tea provided everyday with cookies, and the onsen was lovely! The staff also gave us great recommendations for food and shopping!

Les chambres et le service sont parfait. Il y a un Onsen (Sento) dans le ryokan. Et le petit déjeuner est incroyable ! Il y a un ascenseur, pratique quand on voyage avec de lourdes valises. Rien.

• Volha (9/5): - Просторный номер, хорошее расположение, тёплые воздушные одеяла, дают домашнюю одежду и носочки, очень милый и дружелюбный персонал. Заселили раньше 16:00. Есть всё необходимое для комфортного проживания. При выселении подарили небольшой сувенир :) Зимой в номере очень холодно. В комнате спасал кондиционер, а в ванной и на кухне было не совсем комфортно из-за холода - это единственный минус, в остальном всё было отлично. Также важно учитывать, что возвращаться в номер нужно до 23:00 (ключ оставлять на ресепшн), но нас это не смущало.

• Alessandro (10/5): - We took a private room with bathroom and it was extremely comfortable and spacious. The Kagihei is located in a very chilled area with nice bars and coffee and 1min far away from the local food market and central area. There is also a private hot bath that you can use until 11pm, perfect to take before going to sleep. Definitely recommended, good money deal and positive experience overall. The lates time allowed to come back to the Kagihei is 11pm as there is no way to enter the building with a self service entrance

Ryokan davvero tenuto bene, ottima posizione e esperienza da fare assolutamente almeno una volta nella vita! Futon è stanze meravigliosi!! Stra consiglio! • coppiavenezia (7/5): - La struttura è vicina a tutti i servizi. Il futon pensavo peggio: siamo riusciti a dormire bene. Simpatica la possibilità di vestire gli abiti tradizionali a disposizione e la possibilità di degustare tè e biscottini nel tavolino basso tipico. Sembra di fare un tuffo nel passato giapponese, molto divertente! Anche la colazione tipica è da provare (anche se a noi non è piaciuta per nulla) perché è comunque un completamento dell' immersione nella cultura locale. La pulizia lascia un po' a desiderare e l'onsen è un po' angusto e non molto curato, infatti gli scarichi sono parecchio arrugginiti. A mio avviso queste mancanze rendono il rapporto qualità/prezzo eccessivo.

• Katherine (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay at Kagihei. It is a cozy, clean and comfortable lodging option within walking distance to many of Kyoto’s beautiful historical sites. What made our stay extra special, however, was the kind, thoughtful and attentive family who runs the hotel. 10/10 recommend!

Colazione in stile giapponese servita in saletta privata e composta da una buona varietà di pietanze. Unica pecca camera e bagno leggermente freddi. Il condizionatore un po’ rumoroso. Prezzo altino ma per essere un riokan tra i più bassi trovati.

• Zheng (10/5): Quaint and comfortable stay. - Like the experience, staff were very friendly and the setting is cozy. Sleeping is very comfortable and the place felt roomy. It is right next to the market and easy to get to transportation.
