Guest Reviews
- Lisa (10/5): a suprise birthday little get away for my lucky husband it was perfect đđ» - everything was perfect nothing to dislike
- Simon (9/5): A great find and somewhere I hope to return to one day in the future. - Amazing secluded spot - spent a perfect evening enjoying the birdsong and the stars Nothing
- Ebony (10/5): Idyllic couples getaway - Idyllic little hut! We had a lovely 2 night stay here over the easter weekend, and it was perfect for what we wanted. We made brilliant use from the pizza oven just next to the hut - was romantic and budget friendly! The bed was super comfortable and the kitchen had everything you could need. The little Shetland Pony & Llama were adorable! When we first arrived we were greeted by a spider above the bed... unfortunately could not catch it, but did not affect our stay overall!
- Charmaine (10/5): Shepards Delight - Fantastic location, surrounded by animals and birdsong. Very peaceful
- Donna (10/5): -
- Leigh (10/5): Superb facilities, clean and perfect night sleep. - Excellent location convenient for my work! peaceful setting being surrounded by animals Intermittent WiFi was a problem.
Although the experience is nice and quiet, a tv would be ideal
- Molly (9/5): -
- Alycia (10/5): -
- Lucy (10/5): Perfection. - Beautiful location. Plenty of hot water when showering. Loved having the Shetland ponies as neighbours. Lovely warm accommodation and made full use of the fire pit under the stars in the evenings. Nothing to dislike
- Holly (8/5): Lovely hut perfect for a cozy and peaceful getaway. - The hut is in a lovely location, a very peaceful area, but not far away from main roads so easy to travel around to other places. The hut felt like our own private space and was perfect for a cozy getaway (with a bonus of having a view of fields of animals from the hut). The host was great at communicating and fantastic at being about to help us change dates after unexpected car issues - very much appreciated!
- Jade (10/5): Loved our stay, perfect! - Lovely lay out and had everything needed!
- helen (6/5): - Peace and quite Had to cook outside needs handrail to go up and down steps and anti mats on each step
- Mitch (10/5): Idealic Cornwall Getaway Location - Lovely location! The perfect little stay, with everything you need for a peaceful getaway.
Location was great and easy for us to travel to different Cornwall locations each day.
The Shepard's delight was easy to find thanks to the clear directions given by the host prior to our arrival.
We hope to return in the near future.
- Chantelle (10/5): - Loved every bit of it. Tranquil and relaxing
- Elaine (9/5): - It was lovely and peaceful. The animals were a bonus! The Hut was lovely and cosy!! The driveway was a bit tricky for motorbikes, but we did manage!!!
- Charlotte (10/5): Superb stay - highly recommended. Wish we stayed longer - would book again! - The location is situated at the back of the house but secluded by trees and foliage to give both the house and the Shepherd's Hut privacy. The Hut itself is brilliantly laid out. An excellent kitchenette in the hut with a kettle, hot water, crockery, microwave and mini fridge. The shower although petite had excellent running water. The bed was comfy and the hut was warm. If we wanted to get warmer in the morning we could turn the heating on which warmed it in no time. We enjoyed the sunset beyond the fire pit and the hammocks for a read. We also had a couple of lovely Shetland ponies and a pig visit us behind the fence and singing swallows in the morning. We loved the outside kitchenette area where we made dinner and breakfast and had no idea that this was all for ourselves. The host was prompt and very helpful with the directions in order to find the location. Nothing really - other than the fact we would have liked to be catered with a sponge or brush/something similar to clean the dishes with.
- Thea (10/5): The hut was beautiful, in a really peaceful location and it was clean and quint. - Lack of cooking utilities and a ticking clock
- Toni (10/5): -
- VELEZ (8/5): -
- Mark (9/5): -
- Felix (10/5): -
- Holly (9/5): Peaceful, serene escape - Beautiful quiet location, very peaceful Only thing was the mattress was too soft for us. Apart from that it was all great
- Soo Riddell (10/5): Simply wonderful - Lovely clean, well appointed hut. Total peace and quiet and lovely views of the animals ponies, sheep, pig, alpacas. Visits from the dogs were most welcome and we especially enjoyed the 1st birthday party for last year's litter. So lovely to see them playing in the field together. Enjoyed the hacks and outdoor cooking and hearing the swifts singing above us. This was just what I needed aftery recent eye operation. Thank you. Nothing - all good. A little shelf or basket in the shower would be handy but mot essentisl
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -
- Jibin (9/5): Superb -
- Shona (6/5): Pleasant -
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Rachel (6/5): Pleasant -
- Patricia (10/5): Utterly tranquil private and self contained, with so many aspects to enjoy I wish i could have stayed lionger - Total privacy, self contained space with every facility and delightful outlook , utterly tranquil Wouldnât change a thing
- Colton (10/5): Tucked away from the farmhouse, just into Cornwall, overlooking the paddocks and animals - perfect! -
- Martin (10/5): Beautiful and quietâŠ.. - Beautiful quiet location in the middle of no where. Slept all night with the doors open listening to the animals & birds whilst looking at the sky which was not polluted by light! Nothing!
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (8/5): A breath of fresh air! Something different and novel for a quirky romantic get away đ - The outdoor facilities were great. Loved the hammocks, pizza oven and firepit. Also loved seeing the alpacas, pig and sheep! My partner and I are both very tall so felt a bit cramped inside the hut. The bed was small and my partner banged his head twice going in to the shower room. This isnât a reflection of the quality of the shepherds hut as it was lovely - moreso unsuitability for us as bigger people.
- Robert (9/5): Superb - Very tranquil
- Iona (9/5): Great hideaway on way to Newquay. - The tranquility of the surrounding and the cosy hut.
- Darren (10/5): Ticked all the boxes - Secluded location, but not far from pubs and restaurants, plenty of wildlife around
- Andreia (10/5): Amazing stay - Everything. The shepherd has everything you need, it is very relaxing and peaceful. Inside has a homely feel, the bed is comfy and being surrounded by pure nature is a bliss. We did not cook due to the limited time but had a lovely cup of tea in the morning, enjoy the hammocks and the fire pit with a glass of prosecco. Also, Tanya is friendly and approachable. As soon as we asked for wood she showed up in 2 min. It was siimply great experience, couldn't recommend enough. We surely want to come back. The only downside is the weather. If it rains, you can't enjoy the facilities outside. But that's out of control so there is no downside
- Joanna (10/5): A perfect rural escape from the business of life. - Absolutely lovely, really well kitted out yet didnât feel cramped. Nothing to dislike.
- Halley (9/5): Superb - It was a lovely setting in a lovely place loved watching the animals There was nothing we didn't like ....we didn't get to cook outside but that was due to the weather.
- Sara (10/5): Exceptional - The sound of the animals, the fire pit, the pig and the pizza oven. Oh and the sunset.
- Amit (9/5): Superb -
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Monica (10/5): A gorgeous place to stay!! - Such a gorgeous hut. Much bigger than I expected too. All the little facilities you'd need to enjoy a stay as a couple.
Shower was fab! Lots of hot water. Great WiFi.
Very comfy bed and the view first thing in the morning was so lovely. Farm animals grazing. I love the pig!!!
Thank you for a lovely stay!! Shame it was only one night. Just take care when driving to the hut itself. Perhaps a bigger sign pointing towards the back of the property where the hut is.
We did drive there in the dark. Country lanes. Otherwise, no negatives at all!
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - The lady was so helpfull. I got lost and she cum all out of her way to help me find the place and was so friendly , ill be staying here every month from now on
- Victoria (9/5): A lovely peaceful escape - So cosy with all the comforts you could need provided.
- Catrin (8/5): Peaceful remote retreat. - Beautiful location and peaceful. Clean and comfortable. A vast number if flies in the property when I arrived. It could provide a few more options than just instant coffee and tea. Some herbal teas would be nice.
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional - The hut was really cozy, had everything you needed. Loved being able to sit in the hammock with the fire pit on and looking at the animals. Perfect little getaway. Everything was perfect-thank you!
- Sof (9/5): Hidden and peaceful - The shepherds hut is very hidden and peaceful, I loved sitting watching the animals in the field, unfortunately it rained our whole stay so we didnât get the opportunity to use the outside facilities, but we loved being joined by the dog for cuddles in the morning. Itâs so hidden itâs hard to find
- Rachel (10/5): A little piece of heaven and a place to heal your soul - So much thought has gone into the layout and content of this property, the location is perfect you can hear a pin drop a beautiful place to make memories I can honestly say there wasnât anything I didnât like
- James (9/5): Superb -
- James (10/5): Excellent - I was cycling from Lands End to John o Groats and needed some where to stay in / near Launceston.
This Shepards Hut was so comfortable and had everything you could need. Kettle/ mini fridge / microwave/ nice bathroom, very comfortable bed, hammocks / fire pit etc outdoors. Was raining when I was there so couldnât make use of the outdoor aspects. But very well set up and would definitely stay again if I was in the area. Nothing negative to say.
- Loretta (10/5): Excellent - Very peaceful and lovely to have the animals around and hammocks to relax in. I wished I was staying longer!
- Claire (10/5): Immaculate and charming shepherdâs hut. Thank you! -
- Emma (10/5): Gorgeous and peaceful - Peaceful surroundings and beautiful little hut There was no little cooker or camping stove this wouldâve been handy. Also a little washing line to dry towels, swimwear.
- Louise (7/5): Good - Great value for money and all amenities were there. The track was quite long. You definitely need to use what 3 words
- Fry (10/5): Exceptional - A great haven of calm.. peaceful. Hut was amazing and insulated with underfloor heating. Very quiet when all closed up and wonderful animals around.. recommend keeping an eye out for the long necked sheep! Expect friendly dog visits..all great stuff and a brilliant location and setting.. did I mention the hammocks and firepit? All amazing! My wife and I had a much needed break. Nothing.. all perfect..
- Tayla (10/5): Amazing peaceful stay - This place is so gorgeous. The hut has everything you would need inside and out and I loved the animals, especially having visits from the dogs. The bed was comfy, shower really powerful and space was perfect. Located only about five minutes off the a30 down single track roads so very quiet and peaceful. Nothing. Maybe a little table inside as there wasn't one but it didn't personally bother me at all.
- Josephine (9/5): Friendly owner and ideal location - Friendly greeting from the owner. The hut is surrounded by sheep and it is surprisingly restful to sit and watch them eating and coming up to the fence to see what's new. All facilities as advertised, all very nice, and a perfect location for us as it's on the new Tamara Coast to Coast trail.
- Sally (10/5): Exceptional - Great accommodation. Lovely surroundings. Very peaceful.
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - The location was out of the way in a peaceful area. The owners very friendly and welcoming. It was so nice to wake up to the sound of the animals and getting to drink a coffee each morning in the peace and quiet was amazing. Firepit and BBQ were great additions as well as allowing us to use the pizza oven. Very clean and tidy. Definitely going to rebook next year!
- Becky (10/5): A truly wonderful getaway, which I hope to repeat in future! - Itâs just a perfect little getaway! Blissfully peaceful, and in immaculate condition with all the essentials.
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Gravenell (10/5): Exceptional - I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, a beautiful hut in a tranquil setting and I particularly enjoyed the puppy cuddles â€. It was lovely sitting in the hammock just watching the animals and a lovely hostess too, thank you for such a perfect stay Nothing, it was perfect all round
- Jade (10/5): They thought of everything and more will be returning for longer stay! - Unique, quiet, animals was adorable the owners couldnât have thought of anything more to add down to the games, fire starters for the burner and loads of leaflets of nearby things to do! Was nothing to not love!
- Bradley (10/5): Fantastic hut for a quick escape - Very cosy little hut in the beautiful Cornish countryside. Very quiet and peaceful. Hut was nice and clean and has everything you need for a night or few nights away! Nothing to dislike although just be aware the nearest supermarket is in Lauceston and there aren't many dining out places in the town either, so bring plenty of food!
- Thompson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Conor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ellie (9/5): Perfect weekend getaway - It was cosy and comfortable with lovely open space views. The shower was hot and powerful and it was lovely and quiet (other than some sheep) Mattress was a bit springy but not terribly uncomfortable
- Alex (10/5): Just what we needed! - Waking up to see animals outside, sense of freedom I should of stayed for longer
- Ham (10/5): Amazing! - Shepherds Delight was very clean and cosy and it is in a very tranquil setting, the fire pit and hammocks are lovely touches. I would love to stay again đ

Inside was great, the bed was so comfy. Really enjoyed our time and will be back.
- Gary (9/5): Gorgeous - Isolated, gorgeous scenery, lovely facilities Hard to find, issues with satnav, satnav sent us to a near caravan club site and proprietor not very happy to help. Better signage would help.
- Mark (8/5): Great for a short break (1 or 2 Nights) - Beautiful Shepherds hut, Lovely peaceful surroundings and the Fire Pit was a great addition for the evening Small Bed
- Maiden (8/5): Overall we loved staying and would defo be returning in the near future - We both loved how quite the location was but bit hard to find the place at first but managed it in the end and listening to nature in the morning with a cup of coffee and a hot chocolate and at night we loved sitting out near the fire pit having toasted marshmellows and having a hot shower after.a good days outing in cornwall and lying in the hammocks watching all the stairs light up the sky We was a bit disappointed with the lack of an overn or something to cook food on and the lack of a tv too

- Juliet (7/5): A break near Launceston, Cornwall. - It was quiet and peaceful. The hut was sweet and cosy. There were lots of farm animals around the hut, behind fences. The mattress was brilliantly deep, offering possibility of a good night's sleep. The duvet was synthetic, awkward and bulky. The duvet cover and pillow covers were scented too strongly and had to be discarded, so it would've been better to bring a sleeping bag of my own.
- Mandy (10/5): We enjoyed every minute - The tranquil location, listening to the birds seeing all the animals .just relaxing in the hammock enjoying the peace and the Weather A bigger size quilt on the bed
- Lewis (10/5): Exceptional - Very pleasant stay in a beautiful location
