- alexis (9/5): Excellent stay for 2-3 days - The location was excellent, near the bus, train stations and all the shops. Also the Palace and the very nice lochside. Besides, the town has an excellent and relaxing atmosphere. The kitchenette was a fine convenient addition.

- Kay (10/5): - This place was brilliant. Right across the road from Tesco, Greggs and the railway station. Short walk to the shops. Lovely beds with real sheets. Great shower and bathroom. Very clean hostel. Great price. We would have stayed longer if we hadn't made other plans already. It's a pity we couldn't get access to use the dining room. The microwave could have been bigger to be able to cook a meal but there was nowhere to eat or sit down with a cup of tea or coffee.
- Esther (10/5): Lovely place, clean and simple, all the necessary ingredients are available - Great location, a very short walk to the station, safe access, clean room, clean kitchen with basic shared facilities where you can pick up a glass or plate, and make yourself a coffee. The wifi worked fine for watching a movie. Platform 3 is a great pub, 2min walk away, and so is Tesco. The village is great too, good for a little walk to the castle and a nice pub lunch. If visiting Glasgow, then stay here. And Edinburgh is the next train stop.

I found the flexibility Great. in my hour of need the staff were absolutely fantastic and I’m very grateful, don’t come into my rescue that was at midnight and they were brilliant A chair in the room

I couldn't get the heater to work sadly. I think the remote control was out of battery. Apart from that, it was fine. I will definitely be coming again!

- Roz (7/5): Smart clean and comfortable, but perhaps a new venture with loose ends to tidy up. - It was very clean and smart and we had the place to ourselves. The location was great if you wanted to be in Linlithgow, with a big Tesco just over the road and parking at the hostel. The private twin bedded room had an en suite, towels and a TV for i player etc but not ordinary live TV we think. This was adequate. The kitchen was well equipped with utensils, and some free items of food, but see below The staff member I phoned answered promptly and was helpful. We found the key-safe on the room door hard to open with no instructions apart from the number which didn't easily open it, and instructions for a common room accessed from the car park inadequate. We didn't use that room but wanted to check if it had more cooking appliances or seating to eat meals, It didn't really. Luckily it wasn't really cold, but the heating remote in the room didn't seem to work at all. It is a community run hostel, so there were no staff about though you could ring with questions. I was surprised there was no table with seating for eating at except very low tables with two armchairs in the large common room, involving an outside trip from the kitchen. The only cooking appliance apart from a kettle and perhaps a coffee maker was a microwave. For one night that was OK, but there wasn't even a toaster. We feel sympathetic as it may be run mainly by volunteers after the council stopped providing services, but perhaps things could be improved a little.

- Alan (9/5): - We were looking for basic accommodation after the rugby at Murrayfield. The hostel was a hundred yards from the station and a short journey to Haymarket so was ideal. The Staff couldn't have been more helpful and went the extra mile to make sure we got organised to get in after the rugby. Great rooms, comfy beds and spotlessly clean. We'd definitely use the Linlithgow hostel again. Nothing
- Laura (8/5): - Accommodation is in a good location. There is a Tesco right across the road and lots of cafes and pubs close by. There is a good amount of parking available. Instructions to get into the property and rooms were easy to follow. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The kitchenette and kitchen facilities were very small. A small fridge, kettle and microwave are available but no larger facilities so not suitable if you want to prepare meals.

- Chris (7/5): Overpriced considering no cooker but paying for location I suppose. - Location was excellent close to bus stops and train station also Tesco and Greggs across street. Beds were super comfy. Few disabled spaces in front of building. Laminate flooring squeaks every inch rather annoying, single glazing so sounds like windows are open and can hear the traffic all night and no cooker in kitchenette. Shower was really small struggled to bend and wash legs without touching sides of cubicle.

No hob in the kitchen, just microwave. Large Tesco across the street. Kitchen was very clean when I arrived but unfortunately other guests made a mess (sauce and rice smeared all over the counter and fridge) and did not even bother to try to clean up

Salle de bain de même niveau, le WC et le robinet sont dans la douche. Peinture de la chambre à refaire, des traces sur tous les murs.

My observation-the area under the stairs on ground floor by kitchen could have a tall counter with stools and a few chairs so there is somewhere to eat.

Pulizia pessima, dai servigi igienici in primis alla camera da letto. Tende, lenzuola e federe del letto con diverse macchie gialle; gambe del letto non saldamente fissate, pavimento sporco. L'acqua calda stentava ad uscire, getto poco forte e la luce del bagno tendeva a spegnersi da sola. Piatto doccia molto sporco con rimasugli di ciclo mestruale e peli pubici. Colazione scarsa e di pessima qualità.

- Eirini (8/5): Αρκετά καλό για μια μέρα που το χρειαστήκαμε - Πολύ κοντά στο σταθμό του τρένου. Μέσα στην πόλη. Δυο στάσεις με το τρένο από το κέντρο του Εδιμβούργου. Το μπάνιο ήταν παλιό και δε λειτουργούσε καλά το καζανάκι. Αρκετά μικρό δωμάτιο. Δεν είχε μπρίζα κοντά στο κρεβάτι. Άβολο το ντούζ για να κάνεις μπάνιο. Μείναμε μια μέρα και έτσι δεν χρεισιμοποιήσαμε το ντουζ.

- Carlsson (8/5): - Bra rum och sängar. Det fanns liten kitchenette med bl a kyl. Tyvärr finns ingen spisplatta att laga mat på. Fanns endast micro och vattenkokare. Ej heller någon plats där man kunde de sitta och äta sin medhavda mat
- Iwona (7/5): Miejsce bardzo dobrze położone i skomunikowane z Edynburgiem. - Bardzo dobre położenie obiektu, w pobliżu dworca kolejowego i sklepu Tesco. Pociągiem można się bardzo szybko dostać do centrum Edynburga i na lotnisko (z przesiadką na tramwaj). Cisza, spokój, mało ludzi i także przepiękne ruiny zamku, położone nad jeziorem, do zwiedzenia. Niestety na cały obiekt jest dostępna tylko jedna kuchnia co prawda z pralką ale bez kuchenki do gotowania. Dostępna jest tylko kuchnia mikrofalowa. Brak jadalni w kuchni oraz brak stołu i krzeseł w pokoju bardzo utrudniało spożywanie posiłków. Pod jednym z łóżek masa kurzu i pozostawione coś po poprzednich klientach.

Très bruyant, les portes (coupe feu) ne se ferment pas lentement donc dès quel quelqu’un entre ou sort du couloir ou de leur chambre ça réveil tout l’étage. On entend aussi parler les voisins. Après c’est un hostel donc il faut s’y attendre mais bon ça reste un hostel cher 😅 La sdb est une « wet room » donc toute la pièce est la douche. Lavabo microscopique et aucune étagère pour mettre ses affaires de toilette.

Wenn man mit dem Auto unterwegs ist, praktisch gelegen zum Flughafen Edinburgh Die Eingangstüre lässt sich nichteise schließen, fällt immer laut ins Schloss. In der kleinen Küche gibt es nur Mikrowelle und wasserkocher, keinen Herd. Vor allem aber keine Sitzmöglichkeit . So kann man sich zwar morgens einen Kaffee kochen, muss den aber im Stehen trinken....

The location of the hostel is within a 3-minutes walking distance from the railway station with trains to and from Edinburgh, even though Linlithgow merits the visit. Nothing. Everything was perfect.
