Guest Reviews

Alles da, was man braucht.

- Marcin (10/5): Amazing views and atmosphere. A place with soul. - Location, views, atmosphere N/A
- Wout (10/5): Exceptional - The hosts are great and although they don't speak english, they do everything to make you feel welcome and understood! The place feels magical as it is a house on a steep hillside with views over the lake. It truly was as authentic as it gets! Make sure you arrive within their allocated check in times. We were late as a result of traffic and when it is dark the place is harder to find. They will help guide you up the hill the first time, which helps a lot as the road can be challenging.
- Georgia (5/5): Passable - Nice house and great view. Not worth the problems of driving up there in this "private road". We couldn't leave the place because we had to think of driving up this road again.. Nothing about the road is written in the description or important information, but in the last picture of the listing.
- Piotr (10/5): Sonia is amazing, wholehearted person which with the combination of the facility traits (scenic viewes, closeness to cal - You get everything you need and some more - cleanliness, basically whole flat for yourself with fully operational and convenient kitchen (except for one evening of our stay we were preparing dinners from the scratch), comfy bed and remarkable views from the terrace. On top of that you are being hosted by the most devoted host I have ever seen. As an example - on the arrival to Bellano (from where we were talking the walk to the facility) we met Sonia surprisingly in the middle of the distance just so she could give us a lift. Also after that she had ordered pizza for us! It is a little bit dark inside (only problem when the weather is rainy, because you cannot make a proper use of the terrace and open the doors widely to get sufficient sun light)
- Anna (10/5): This place is exquisite. - I was really happy with this accommodation. My partner and I actually prefer walking, so we didn’t mind the distance and the height of the place from Bellano. We did every day the walk from Bellano harbour to the accommodation which was about 53 minutes and we got sweaty at the end every time but it was a nice stroll upwards and the view in the meantime was amazing!!! To get down to Bellano it took us only 35 minutes. I loved these walks in the morning and at sunset, it was breathtakingly beautiful. The accommodation had everything we needed, the kitchen was great, the bathroom was nice, and the view from the terrace was speactacular to the Lake. There was a big blanket and several covers as well so we could comfortably sleep. The area is quiet and very calm, we could open the window for the night and everything was so peaceful and calm. Sonia, the host was great, she was very helpful and super nice! I would gladly come here again, I think this is a great place for nature and beauty lovers who like to walk:) The only thing I could imagine bother someone is the little window in the bedroom. It was dark, barely some natural light and the ceiling was low above us, felt little locked in but that is just me with narrower spaces. But even with this, it was really perfect, I would come here again.
- Mikołaj (9/5): Lovely, excellent place if you enjoy silence, remoteness and peace. - If you’re looking for a quiet and peaceful place with a stunning view to rest from daily routine this is exactly the place.
Apartment is well equipped- hair dryer, cooling fan, oven, wi-fi
Inside is thoughtfully arranged, bed is big and comfortable.
Small patio offers breathtaking views, neighbours are calm and friendly.
Owner Sonia takes very good care of her guests and is there to assist you with any issue.
Price-quality ratio is just excellent I think it’s fair to extensively describe the access road to the apartment and note that it’s strongly advised to visit this place by car because it’s quite far from public transportation (30 min walking uphill)
Getting to the apartments’ parking is not for every car and every driver. Road leading to the top is curvy, narrow and very steep what’s even worse the middle part of it is gravel and uneven so if you’re driving a low car you’ll be struggling to get to the top. I was driving uphill with a hatchback and got a flat-tyre on this road (Sonia immediately helped to solve this issue)
If you’re driving an SUV you should get to the top with no problem if not you can either leave your car on a free parking on the bottom level and climb on your feet (only for fit people) or try to fight with the road every time.
- Ruby (8/5): Honestly wouldn’t stay here again because of the driveway! If the loose gravel was solid concrete it would be a differen - Great view, nice quiet town, private and quiet place. Just like other reviews said, the driveway is extreme. We avoided driving up and down too often which meant an intense walk up and down the cliff. Also pillows were really uncomfortable.
- Raluca (7/5): Good - The view is spectacular! Unfortunately from Bellano ferry to Villa, the road is very difficult to walk. We were aware that are 3 km, but we didn't know that it can be dangerous. There are some 0 visibility turns where the car drivers cannot see you. The uber is not available in that area. Fortunately we found a great guy that helped us for 15 Euro each ride. If you don't have a car take this into consideration. The Vila is ok, nothing fancy, but waking up with that spectacular view and nature sounds cancel all the cons. The host, Sonia, is great. Even if she does not speak english, we managed to communicate with google translate. Also, there is no market in the area, so if you need to buy something you should do it in the city center.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Authentic, perfect view of the lake.
- Miloš (9/5): Beautiful place, great value for money - Very nice setting, very nice views, very good location for enjoying the best of Lake Como. The bed could be changed, it’s quite noisy.
- Elisa (10/5): Exceptional - Casetta stupenda, tranquillità e vista mozzafiato
