Guest Reviews
- Guest (7/5): - Late September and no heating option! Log burner but no logs or matches and radiators stone cold. Luckily the weather was exceptional.
- Clifton (4/5): - The location staithes was lovely the outside space of the cottage The cottage was pleasantly presented however when we walked in the fireplace was filthy there was balloons on the floor and information from the past guest was on the footstool. When we went into the kitchen there was no washing products or dish cloths and only one tea towel .it would have been a lovely gesture to put a small carton of milk in the fridge so you could actually have a hot drink. The bedrooms were very nice and comfortable but was a little surprised to see a child's shoe in the cabinet at the side of the bed.
The heart decorations with instructions particularly regarding the dogs made it feel un homely after all it is advertised as pet friendly , and it did feel make us feel like little reminders everywhere was not necessary. And not really relaxing
There was no wood in the front room to light a fire one cold night which was a real shame
The stairs were very tiresome
The furniture was beautiful and comfortable but as I said small gestures which would have cost less than ten pounds would have made it easy the location dosnt have many shops and since check in is quite late at 1600 you miss them and the last thing you want to do is go and get basic items which could have been provided
Maybe this was down to the turnover staff
- Hazel (8/5): Very good - A very well euipped cottage. Warm, com fortable close to all amenities. The stairs! I should have known with its locatioin that there would be at least 3 floors.
- Sonja (8/5): Felt a little unwelcome - Fantastic location and quite a big house. Plenty of room for everyone The interior and some of the contents are tired and the whole place could do with some tlc. There were no towels provided and only half a roll of toilet paper for four people staying a week. When we contacted the owner, we were referred to “the housekeeper”who’s name and number was also displayed on one of the many notes of instructions around the house. She was very surprised to hear from us as she hadn’t worked in this particular property for 2 years.
- Jennifer (7/5): Good -
