Guest Reviews
- Farrell (10/5): Perfect, cosy and relaxing - We liked how it looked very modern with a touch of oldness with the stairs, I loved the staircase it was very unique and the stay was very comfortable Nothing at all
- Abhishek (10/5): -
- chee seong (4/5): - None 4 people not good size for sleeping, tap no hot water, coffee machine not working properly.shower room no hanging.
- Serhii (9/5): -
- Mihai (8/5): - Clean towels, clean bedsheets, plenty of toiletries and toilet paper, new furniture, hot water with good pressure, good upstairs mattress and decent sofa one, TV and Netflix. A slight moldy smell, loud fridge that kept humming even after adjustments, no room to hang clothes/towels (lack of hangers), stairs were a bit shaky, house number could be easier to spot (we ended up in a neighbors yard initially).
- Tathiana (10/5): -
- Leroisoleil (7/5): - Nice bath, good washing machine, warm shower. Missing some basic items as a drying rack for laundry, coat racks, hook in the bathroom for towels.
- Satya Ramesh (8/5): - House was clean It has only one bathroom and bathroom doesn’t have lock
- Flame43 (6/5): Passible - The bed is comfortable. The living room is clean and comfortable. Location was what we needed. It said pet-friendly when booked Even though it was listed as pet-friendly when we booked, at the last minute, they informed us that there was a £50 extra cost for extra cleaning for our dog. It was too late to change the accommodation and we agreed to pay.
Grass was not cut - difficult to pick up poo in long grass and made the place look 'untidy'.
Fridge/Freezer not working - we initially thought that it was unplugged and plugged back in as the place looked as if it had been left empty for a while. There was smelly, mouldy water in the ice compartment. It was only the following day when we had to throw away the milk, that we realised the whole F/F was not working.
Kitchen utensils are minimal, and no washing-up liquid. Some items of glassware and crockery were dirty and led us to believe that they were washed with just water (And this was my husband's complaint, and he hardly ever complains)
For your information only, the stairs can be slippery. No bath mat or grab rails getting in and out of the large deep bath (for those clients who will need extra care in slippery wet areas)
Before I wrote this review, I contacted the property and listed the above information. The reply was 'defensive' and I had to prove my complaint by sending photos (which I did). Since then, there has been no reply. It did not meet the standards I expected, considering I paid £260 for two nights with the extra cleaning cost.
This is my husband's and my view, and I very rarely leave a negative review, but I will 100% never be back. Next time I will book with the Trusted pet friendly Travelodges - I have never had a bad experience while staying with them.
- Rrolinski (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neverauskaite (7/5): Good - Lovely house, and when we had electricity gone - problem was solved very quickly. It felt a bit unfinished. No hangers through the house, lack of towels. Bed linen had to be kept on the floor ( a simple storage box would be enough under the same staircase)
- Steph (8/5): Good central location, pleasant accommodation. - Location was good for our needs.
House was pleasant.
Bed was comfortable.
Apart from no hot water (no instructions how to use - see below) everything needed was provided.
Enclosed garden was perfect for the dogs.
We were visiting family and stayed for 3 nights.
We enjoyed our short stay. We had no access to hot water due to there not being a welcome pack or instructions anywhere how to operate. We couldn’t find how to get hot water at all. We tried all switches that looked like it might be for it but nothing worked. Thankfully the shower is electric, but we had to boil the kettle to wash up the dishes. Wi-Fi password was available from the back of the router which was fine. We didn’t need the heating thankfully.
We were also asked to pay an extra £20 for ‘additional’ cleaning after we booked as we had our 2 westies with us. At the time I didn’t query but upon looking back, the property policies state ‘no extra charges’ for pets.
If an extra charge is applicable for this it should be made clear and changed accordingly in the policies so people are aware before booking.
- James (5/5): We felt let down with the things mentioned above altho6they could be rectified very easily, - The location was excellent for us There was no where at all to hang clothes, there was no welcome pack explaining how to operate the heating, the internet , the television or the hot water , there is a smell of damp when you enter the property, probably needs airing now and again.
- Martyn (9/5): Superb - Lovely clean apartment and staff were helpful when needed to call them Really needed a extra duvet for sofa bed in lounge
