- Sharon (8/5): Relaxing & cosy - Loved the location and the comfort of the place and the quiet - great hosts Too close to the house to the right - need a few more trees or a fence to block them out of view, just missed the little things like cobwebs above our bed on light shade, teabags not stocked up and not enough firefighters or wood for 2 nights accommodation - it’s just the little things that got missed ! Also would’ve been great to have a 2 person bath but was so beautiful and relaxing
- JING (8/5): -
- Ghita (9/5): Fun experience! - Leuke ervaring voor niet kampeerders Het was heel erg koud
- Bianca (10/5): absolutely incredible stay everything that they advertised and more - everything a total spoil with generous hosts on a secluded and beautiful property nothing
- David (9/5): Great glamping experience - Glamping, for those that haven't done it before is camping in a nice tent. The drawbacks to camping still apply. It is in the bush, away from amenities and is self sufficient. BUT, glamping tries to remove the drawbacks and give you a hotel experience in the bush. Wingtons achieves this on all levels. Firstly, a gob-smackingly awesome tent (see pics). Very comfy bed, good cooking equipment and great views. It is NOT a fancy hotel but it IS a very fancy tent. Heating is good, comfort is top notch and the beach is 50m away. Bathroom facilities are attached to the tent, accessed from outside not inside, and are private. No issues, but less mobile people may struggle with the 100m track from the parking to the tent
- Dana (9/5): Gorgeous location! Thank you 🙏 -
- Breeanna (10/5): Relaxing, a good reset for both of us. - Quiet, secluded and peaceful. Was so relaxing. Nothing
- Carina (10/5): Such a beautiful place - Nat and Dan are a lovely couple, so friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our short stay by the Tamar River in our cosy luxurious tent. Loved the bath overlooking the river (just remember to fill it at least 2 hours prior to allow the water to cool down 🥵😅). A shame we were only staying one night...
I hope to come back one day Just the carpark is a bit of a walk to the tent, so carrying luggage was a bit hard... but Nat and Dan are there to help if needed 😉😊
- Kylie (9/5): Absolutely pure bliss, we will be back! - The view was beautiful, the staff were amazing.
We had such a relaxing time.
- Danielle (9/5): Wow! This is the only way to 'camp'! - An amazing location, and the only way to camp! Absolutely loved our time in this gorgeous glamping location. The decor was so beautiful, and the view from the deck sublime. Highly recommend this private, well equipped and stunning place. Only that we didn't stay longer!
- Ian (9/5): Best experience we had in Tassie to relax and enjoy the natural environment. - Perfect view from of the river and seemed to fit well with the bush location.
Possum joined us for dinner.
- Kelly (10/5): I was overwhelmed by the extraordinary beautiful styling, it was the perfect balance of enjoying the great outdoors whil - Where do I start!
The most glorious, roomiest, beautifully and impeccably decorated tent imaginable.
I did not want to leave!
- Griffin (10/5): -
- Kurt (10/5): Perfection - Phenomenal vibe, the glamping tent itself is more like a house, can’t wait for our next stay there. The wood fired sauna & plunge pool on the river was 👌♥️
- Peggy (9/5): -
- Liz (9/5): -
- Alice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ehlana (10/5): Exceptional - Truly puts the GLAM in Glamping! The unique custom designed tent was absolutely exceptional. Wonderful decorative touches all throughout.
Sauna practically has you floating on the water- a sensational setting.
- Bryan (7/5): Good -
- Jesse (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (9/5): great fun, very comfortable and super relaxing. - Nat was a great host, the property quite unique and it provided exactly what we needed.
- Suk (8/5): Very good - In the middle of untrimmed bushes
- Sandra (8/5): A cozy comfortable place to relax and unwind - Well thought out to ensure comfort. Lots of thoughtful details in the accomodation itself. The bed was very comfortable. It was probably a little overpriced. The time of year prevented the need for the fires and the pool was broken during our stay so we didn’t get much value from the extra facilities.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Larissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laurene (10/5): What an amazing little spot - This spot was absolutely amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on our last night in Tasmania. It was just a beautiful, serene spot. The spa and plunge pool were a plus! We enjoyed it so much I immediately bought a voucher for my sister in Launceston so she can come enjoy this hideaway. My husband is tall (6'4) and couldn't stand up properly, but this was not a dislike by any means.
- Zali (7/5): Was a nice stay. - The bed was very comfortable and the tent was cosy. The check in was a little bit confusing, as we just walked into where we were staying and no one knew if we were actually there or not.
- Danielle (10/5): Absolutely worth a stay or two - Beautiful location. All little essentials thought of. Wonderful night sleep! Comfy bedding
Sauna and cold plunge pool was a great extra
- Nicki (7/5): Great but needs a little maintenance - Property was lovely and easy to find. We had a relaxing stay and will recommend to friends and family. Beautiful luxury decor and alot of thought had obviously gone into the concept which was appreciated. Overall it was great. Unfortunately, there was not enough fire wood so we were quite cold overnight, fire was not lit on arrival as we had been advised), no electric blankets as information had stated, some issues with maintenance for the lights meant no working light in bathroom and lanterns on deck were either broken or out of gas. These issues would have just enhanced our stay and unfortunately left us a little disappointed. We reached out to management but response was abit slow as they advised they were overseas. We were told a staff member would try to be sourced to fix the issues with lanterns but we never heard back and no-one ever arrived to help. Fellow guests are quite close by so music and voices were quite loud after midnight which again was a little disappointing.
- Kate (10/5): Exceptional -
- Manoj (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful place to be there with partner, peace
- Venn (8/5): Very good - Everything was great.hosts very obliging . Nothing
- Declan (7/5): Good -
- Storm (4/5): Disappointing - Hot hot water in the kitchen facility
Poor booking management
Poor explanation of how to check in
Poor explanation on how to use facilities
- Natalie (6/5): Pleasant - Probably needs a bit more information on the website about the steep incline down from carpark to the tents
- Tracy (7/5): Pleasant - Lovely decor and location. Each tent is not very private and very close to each other. We could hear the other glampers very clearly.
- Ernest (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ronit (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrea (10/5): Perfect, relaxing, a must do for a special night away - Beautiful location, the most comfy bed we have ever slept in! Lovely little touches like the fire pit already set and the pod coffee machine made it feel very special and welcoming. The sauna over looking the river with the cold plunge pool was highlight.
- Sophie (10/5): Fully surrounded by nature, while sleeping in luxury - The place was a piece of heaven right on the Tamar river. The place was so clean and you could tell that everything had been really thought out to make it a full glamping experience. The sauna and plunge pool (nice and cold) were AMAZING. Leaving feeling very revitalised and relaxed. 10/10
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good - The accommodation was lovely, and the area and wildlife were fantastic. Quite a walk uphill to parking.
- Jessica (8/5): Very good -
- Claire (9/5): Great experience very close to nature - Very well set out and organised, ideal location in the waterfront with great views Nothing
- Thanojan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Venn (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was great bed was comfortable. Hosts friendly. Private and relaxing setting. Nothing
- Emms (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pedro (6/5): Pleasant - Nice location, close to the water. Area with the fire pit. This accommodation is not glamping but rather a nice camping. There is a lack of privacy if you stay in the middle tent and you need to walk out of the tent to reach the bathroom. Lack of power outlets in the room. Access to the tent from car park is demanding if you carry heavy suitcases.
- Rojina (8/5): Very good -
- Nisha (9/5): It was fun and memorable experience. - The location was beautiful, comfy beds and well maintained.
- Bethan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amy (8/5): Very good -
- Holli (10/5): We absolutely loved our stay, a truly amazing place to stay. Perfect for a couples get away to reconnect and relax. - The location was beautiful and peaceful with gorgeous views of the tamar. The accommodations are very unique, beautiful styled and amazingly comfortable. Not one complaint
- Srijana (8/5): Fantastic - Sona Nil
- Dean (10/5): Exceptional - The stay met above my exceptions it was spot on Only thing thing I could fault was the track to water was a touch overgrown
- Kerryn (10/5): Our overnight stay was so enjoyable, the mysterious walk to our camp, the stunning water view, cosy accommodation and fa - The whole experience was fabulous. Nothing to report in the negative
- Kirsti (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aswin (10/5): A serene nature friendly stay with all the essentials in place - Everything about the property was exceptional No comments
- Teagan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steve (7/5): Good -
- Kurt (6/5): Nice but less than expected. - Evidently a lot of passion and care taken by the owner, including key details which are carefully crafted and detailed prestay communications.
Even the additional troubles such as to preset the fires which was great. The tents were too close to each other, all we could hear all evening was the next tent. Bluetooth speakers are a nice touch but perhaps encourage people to play music at a volume others can hear and that detracts from others enjoyment.
It was also disappointing to have people have to walk through our private encampment area to get to the sauna and riverfront.
It would be beneficial to reconfigure the arrangement so the bathroom tent can lead off the deck of connect from the main tent so you don’t have to go out into the rain to use the bathroom.
Small fine details would make a massive improvement for example to remove or cover the blue light on the usb charger, so as not to reduce the overnight ambiance and to have a reed or other diffuser in the tents to cover the wet canvas smell which is unavoidable.
Had to change switch the gas hot water system from primary bottle to secondary bottle as when we went to have a shower at 10pm we only had 30seconds of hot water before it faulted out and went cold.
Bathroom tent needs hooks or even a hat stand for you to hang your robe, towel ect while in the shower.
- Philip (10/5): It was amazing even if the weather wasn’t - The location was great with a view to die for Nothing except our neighbours on the first night
- Angela (9/5): Superb -
- Liana (10/5): Exceptional -
