La proprietaria, Valida, è molto attenta e disponibile, ci ha aspettato senza problemi nonostante il ritardo del nostro volo ci abbia fatti arrivare piuttosto tardi. La mattina a colazione ci ha coccolati offrendoci e nel caso preparando al momento uova, pancake, crepes, insomma tutto quello che volevamo. Stanza ampia, pulita e ben tenuta; idem il bagno.

Die Gespräche mit ihr waren spannend - eine tolle Frau, die wir nicht mehr vergessen werden. Das Gasthaus ist sehr zentral gelegen. Wir empfehlen eine Tour, um Sarajevo besser zu verstehen.

• kerimkin (10/5): - Pierwszy raz byliśmy w Sarajewie, pensjonat w samym centrum miasta, dosłownie 200 m do słynnej fontanny i starego miasta, nie jest skomplikowany dojazd, parking na ulicy tuż obok pensjonatu monitorowany. Miły pobyt głównie dzięki sympatycznej gospodyni, jaka jest Pani Valida. Bardzo czysto, codziennie wymieniane ręczniki, domowe śniadania przygotowywane indywidualnie dla każdego gościa. • LeenW (10/5): Een aanrader in Sarajevo - Mooie ruime kamer. De eerste keer sliepen we in de kamer met het rode bed en het balkon. Het heeft een prachtige badkamer en het bed is super comfortabel. Het ligt heel dicht bij het oude centrum en voor 10 euro per dag kan je de auto op 20m van het hotel parkeren. Het was een heerlijk ontbijt en we kregen goed tips van de gastvrouw. Alles oké! :)
• LeenW (9/5): Fijne plek dicht bij het centrum - De tweede keer sliepen we in een kamer achteraan het hotel. Het was een mooie kamer met een comfortabel bed. De badkamer was iets eenvoudiger, maar heel proper en alles aanwezig. Het ontbijt was nog steeds top. Je gaat niet met honger van tafel. Top gastvrouw. Een beetje gehorig als de buren douchen, maar voor de rest heel rustig.

Just a two-minute walk from the old city square, with the option of reasonably priced, guarded parking nearby, and situated on the flat part of town (unlike many hilly areas of old Sarajevo), its position couldn't be better. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom is decent, the rooms are air-conditioned, and everything is impeccably clean and tidy. But the true soul of this place is its warm and gracious hostess, Valida. She will make you feel genuinely welcome, and if you're staying for a few days, even a cheerful conversation with her will let you feel the true heart of this extraordinary city and its rich, tumultuous history. Unique and unmatched in my experience.

The location is perfect for exploring Old Town and makes it convenient to take mid-day breaks from the heat. We loved the breakfasts (our favorite in Bosnia!) and our chats with the owner Valida.

Da halvat ci si sente a casa. Colazione strepitosa sia per varietà che qualità. Parcheggio auto vicinissimo disponibile su richiesta con un piccolo extra costo. Ci tornerei! I prodotti da bagno erano un po' essenziali ( considerato il buon livello della struttura), ma c'era comunque tutto ciò che serviva.

La ubicación es inmejorable ya que andando estás a 3 min del casco antiguo y a la vez es una zona tranquila para un buen descanso. Parking privado y cerrado en la puerta del hotel. Valida, la dueña, es una mujer increíble que además te regala su historia y experiencia para que entiendas perfectamente el pasado y presente de los Balcanes. Un desayuno delicioso. Vamos, absolutamente recomendable para visitar Sarajevo.

The hostess Valida was very helpful and friendly, helping with parking and recommendations for food - we tried them all! The rooms are a good size, clean, and quiet despite the great location only a few minutes walk from the old town. Breakfast is relaxed and Valida makes whatever you could want - especially delicious pancakes.

• Sabrina (10/5): Schönes Guesthouse mit herzlicher Gastgeberin - Wir haben uns in Halvat Guesthouse sehr wohl gefühlt und auch den Parkplatz genutzt, der sich gleich daneben befindet. Valida ist eine sehr herzliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeberin, die zudem ein ausserodentliches Frühstück zubereitet. Das Zimmer war hell, sauber und geräumig. Die Lage des Guesthouses ist top - 5 min zu Fuss vom Bazar / Altstadt und doch nicht mitten drin, so dass es nachts ruhig ist und man gut schlafen kann. Ich kann Halvat Guesthouse sehr empfehlen!

Halvat Guesthouse is nestled in a quiet neighborhood yet within walking distance of Barscarsija…a bustling market, the Latin Bridge near where WW1 began and a plethora of shops and eateries. The owner recommended a restaurant where we enjoyed a nice dinner overlooking the city at night. We drove to the Tunnel of Hope/Salvation on our way out. It’s powerful. Note that they only accept local currency cash. What’s the most extraordinary about Halvat Guesthouse? Valida, the owner. She’s warm, professional and adept in all skills needed to run their business. Breakfast was delightful. She’ll make you whatever you fancy from a broad variety of choices but the best part is visiting with her! She’s a great conversationalist and we could have engaged for hours. I hope she visits me one day and rest assured I will iron her sheets and pillowcases just as she does for her guests! Nothing

• VALERIE (10/5): Conditions idéales de séjour, excellent rapport qualité-prix - Excellent accueil, Valida prend soin de ses hôtes et est de bon conseil sur tout (déplacements, sites, restaurants..). La maison d'hôtes est très bien située. Elle est proche de la vieille ville, du lieu de l'attentat de Sarajevo en 1914 et du téléphérique. J'ai pu me rendre dans tous les points intéressants de la ville à pied.

• judith (10/5): - The owner was at the door, waiting for our arrival, and was extremely kind. The location was excellent, the room was nicely decorated, all so clean. I enjoyed very nice breakfasts.
• Eric Schellenger (10/5): A wonderful experience - It was a pleasure to stay at Halvat. Valida is a genuine person and simply the best host we have ever met. She is very warm and welcoming, made us feel at home the moment we arrived, and made sure our experience was positive. She genuinely wanted to get to know us, and each morning we enjoyed our breakfast conversations with her where she also shared about her life, her country, and Halvat. Valida's breakfasts were delicious with plenty of options to choose from, including eggs cooked to your liking and crepes. Valida was also kind enough to share some of her delicious home made rice pudding with us that we ate for dessert one evening :). As for the room, it was clean, comfortable, and private, and Valida always made sure that the toiletries were re stocked. The nearby parking spot (extra charge) was great value and is just a few steps down the street. This was our first trip to Europe and Valida's hospitality and our experience at Halvat is a big reason why it will be so memorable for us. If you are visiting Sarajevo you must stay at Halvat! nothing. Everything was fantastic.
• Schellenger (10/5): - Very satisfied with our one-night stay at Halvat. Valida is great- she is very friendly, a great communicator, and helped us when our schedule changed due to a delayed flight. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic. We are returning to Halvat in few weeks to stay here again at the end of our trip before we fly home and we are definitely looking forward to it. Nothing.

• Adriana (10/5): Charming place, top location, and hosts who make you feel right at home - Super location with convenient garage parking, making it easy to explore the old town on foot. Despite being just steps from the center, the rooms are quiet and peaceful. The space is cozy and welcoming, and Valida is truly a wonderful host. Nothing
