Guest Reviews
- Jane (10/5): A fabulous place to stay in Florence. - Oltrano Dreaming was a fabulous place to stay. The first thing you notice is that it is spotlessly clean, then you start to realise that Angela has thought of every little thing you might need while you are away from home for example shopping bags, iron, hairdryer and an umbrella (which I did need on the very last day). Additionally, the air con was an additional treat when getting back after a hot day. Angela was also so helpful, suggesting restaurants and even finding me somewhere to get some packaging to bring some wine home - and it made it in one piece ! I liked the area, it was nice to be just outside of the main centre, it felt like living in the real Florence with lots of little shops on the doorstep. Nothing
- Nicholas (10/5): Our stay at Oltrarno Dreaming was so comfortable, in such a well positioned and quiet location. - I loved that everything had been thought of. You open up a cupboard and there is a small basket of power adapters for a variety of different countries. There are clothes pegs to hang your clothes out to dry once washed in the washing machine. The little things that really make your stay extra comfortable! Nothing!
- Duemer (9/5): Enjoyable stay across the river - Angela was a fantastic host; always available and accommodating. She went above and beyond by allowing us to drop off our luggage early and provided many wonderful suggestions for the area.
The apartment was small but perfectly suitable for our family of 4. Afterall, we weren't visiting Florence to stay indoors much. We were thrilled to have two bathrooms and be able to wash some clothes. Whatever we couldn't dry on the line, we took to the Wash & Dry just 2 minutes away.
Angela has put a lot of thought and care in the items available for use. My daughter was so happy to find fluffy blankets and I was able to easily iron our clothes for a wedding.
The location is convenient and provided fairly quiet surroundings (Italians are loud and love their scooters - lol). There were some wonderful restaurants and shops nearby. Expect a 20 minute walk to most tourist destinations.
- Richard (9/5): Perfect Family stay in a quiet corner Florence - Angela was a fantatsic host, very easy to deal with and very helpful with information and local suggestions. Apartment was very clean, kitchen well equipped and all very comfortable. Apartment was away from the busy areas but only a 10 minute walk to the centre
- Annie (9/5): Loved our time in Florence - Owner/ host Noisy location!
- Ruth (10/5): Would definitely recommend and stay again. - Although the apartment was compact the facilities were great. Better suited to 2 adults ( which is what we were). Really like the location - relatively quiet but close to the centre. Angela was brilliant - instant communication, stayed late to let us in and gave loads of info. Nothing. Taxi was difficult to find on Saturday morning but not the apartment’s fault!
- Renata (8/5): Very nice hosts, helped us with getting to the apartment, gave many tips, apartment is very good with all the facilities -
- Thales (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is very well located. It's easy to move around the town from there. When we arrived the place was clean and fresh. The bedrooms and the living room have an air-conditioner, which makes it way more easier to stay indoors. Angela, the host, speaks/writes English fluently which made the communication easy. She was always kind with us and suggested good places to eat and visit. I trully recommend staying there.
- Sandra (8/5): A great place to stay - The apartment was modern and beautifully thought out. The hosts were very considerate and there were lots of nice touches such as leaving us coffee pods etc. It was a good location with shops and the Pitti Palace nearby. The street was a bit noisy and the apartment was a bit dusty but really no complaints.
- Alisa (8/5): Very good - The apartment itself is very nice, and it had two lovely bathrooms with amazing showers! The hosts are super lovely, they instantly replied to my messages and tried to resolve all the issues immediately. The kitchen is well equipped with all the basics. One room has a double bed, and the other one has two single beds. For some reason there were only rather warm blankets, although we were travelling in June. But having spent two weeks in Italy, it was the same in other places too. Two major things were a problem for me. Firstly, the apartment is located on the intersection of two streets where there is constant transport - cars and very noisy scooters/motorbikes. Even with closed windows you hear them loudly, so I had to sleep in earplugs the whole time - such a shame. The other problem is the air conditioning. The owner explained to me that because it's an old apartment, the only way to install a/c in the two bedrooms was to "connect them". Meaning there's one remote control from both a/c units and the same engine. So each time I switched on the a/c in my room, it would also switch it on in the second double bedroom (but my mother didn't want it, and also in that bedroom a/c makes a lot of noise!) I tried everything, but I just couldn't "separate them", so I eventually had to shut both the windows and a/c, which made it rather stuffy. Not sure there's any solution here...
- Darren (9/5): We had a lovely time in Florence and our apartment was the perfect base to explore - Great location just over the river in Oltrarno
- Anissa (10/5): Thank you Angela for making sure we had everything to make our stay comfortable. Would highly recommend this apartment. - Great location, near to all the main attractions. Two bathrooms for four of us was a bonus. The apartment had everything we needed. Nothing but just take your time on the stairs.
- Frank (10/5): from the moment we booked, to the day of departure we had fast friendly communication. - excellent communication with the host. fast friendly replies. made staying a pleasure!! good location, excellent facilities
