A true feeling of a luxury getaway meets you on arrival. - The decor is exquisite. The attention to detail in every single area of this hotel captures your attention. The food was amazing and the staff were extremely helpful going that extra mile to meet our needs. Can’t wait to go back! Nothing. Everything was perfect!

- Aileen (8/5): A pleasant stay with family but didn't live up to my expectations tbh - Liked alot about this hotel. Breakfast was good. The evening meal we had was only ok. There was nowhere that comfortable to sit in the bar and watch the Ireland match that was on.
- Daniel (10/5): Excellent, friendly, welcoming, comfortable and thoroughly enjoyable. - Location is beautiful. Bit awkward to get to from our location due to roads but nothing can be done about that by Glassan so this just from my perspective.
Breakfast, food, staff were all excellent.
Upon arrival the ladies at reception were delightful to deal with. Friendly and welcoming.
Golf pro was a gent to deal with also. Course is magnificent!
Room was quirky but this was cool and the vinyl was an excellent little touch!!
Thanks for the balloons, birthday welcome for my wife also.
I really appreciate it. 😊 An addition of a sauna, steam room, thermal suite and a cold plunge would be a great addition.
All being said, I did know these options were not there prior to booking so these would not put me off returning at all.

- Laura (1/5): - Expected a lot more based on the price point of this room. There was a sliding door between the bedroom and bathroom which was broken and had to main open for the duration of our stay. When raised with staff they did not offer us a new room and overall attitude was poor given that this hotel charges luxury hotel prices. Unfortunately what was due to be a much awaited birthday trip away was tainted.

- Jordan (10/5): -
- ciana (6/5): Beautiful setting but poor value for money - Beautiful setting and unique decor - upgraded to a Lakeview room as it was a special occasion and it was really beautiful It was cold in the main areas , fires were not lit in bad or reception area and it was cold , there was a huge lack Of choice of drinks eg no corona , no miller , no jack daniels etc . While breakfast was included in our stay we were informed that if we ordered a cappuccino with breakfast it would be an extra charge , considering we paid 365 for a one night stay on a Friday I found this ridiculous. Food in restaurant was nice however all sides were extra with mains . While the pool was lovely it is in a very public area and wedding party arrived taking photographs etc which was not
Ideal as we navigated in our swim wear which the restaurant also overlooks - not for the faint hearted !

Some staff just seemed a little dismissive and not as welcoming as you would expect from a higher end establishment. We made the most of it and had a good time, but won't be rushing back.
- Aisling (9/5): -
- Dylan (7/5): -
- Emma (8/5): - The restaurant and menus were very limited
- Niamh (9/5): -
- Stacey (5/5): Disappointed in this stay given the price. - The grounds were beautiful. The food was very poor in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. For such a high end stay and the price of the stay the food was very disappointing.
When we arrived there was a wedding on which was in the bar and when we went in to get a drink we were told we could not be served there which was disappointing.
- Denise (8/5): - Staff were lovely Breakfast could be better
- Linda (9/5): -
- Gillian (9/5): Beautiful location hotel worth a visit - Beautiful property well maintained
- Alan (7/5): - Location and setting beside the lake and golf course. Quirky interior and rooms. Bonnie’s restaurant. Lift was not working during our stay. First room we were allocated, the drain in the sink was choked. The staff were very good and offered us an alternative room. The first room we were offered did not have all the amenities and there was an unpleasant smell in the room. The second room was acceptable. The “munchies” and mini bar contents were overpriced in my opinion.
- Emma (5/5): For the price charged per night I would not go back. There was an attitude of ‘oh well’ when I inquired to why all 3 fac - Lovely staff, clean, amazing grounds and dog friendly Many facilities were not in use such as the “heated pool”, hot tubs and fire pit (which we were told was only used for special occasions.)
The purpose of my booking was these facilities which were all not in use at the time, had I known they were not in use I would have chosen a different place.
- Jodie (8/5): -
- bernadette (5/5): Very disappointing for the price - The price that was quoted on booking.com wasn’t the price I paid I had to pay over 40 euros more
The over night cost was too expensive
When we checked in at 4 pm as requested the only dinner time we could get in the restaurant was 5-15 , the restaurant was vertully empty while we dined
I had booked two bedrooms one of the bedrooms both sinks were blocked very disappointing
- Yvonne (9/5): -
- Bannable (9/5): -
- Sarah (8/5): Lovely hotel, food was disappointing - The hotel is beautiful with lovey rooms and outdoor pool The restaurant was disappointing
- Emma (8/5): Lovely stay, would recommend and hope to return someday. Hot tubs were not available during our stay which was disappoin - Clean, warm, cosy and relaxing atmosphere Outdoor pool could’ve been warmer
- Ellie (10/5): -
- Grace (9/5): Fabulous family stay. - There is not much to dislike about the property. Its location is so peaceful and tranquil, the log fires burning in the lobby and restaurant are cosy and atmospheric. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The outdoor heated pool is a lovely facility. We stayed in a classic room. It was spacious, spotless and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. There’s a play room for smaller toddlers. I think the pool area would do well with a small shelter with hooks to hang towels and gowns because if it’s raining you have no choice but to leave your towels and robes in the rain. Also as an adult supervising a child you have to stand out in the rain. A small sheltered seating area would be good. Hot tubs are €50 per hour for a maximum of 4 people but for a couple or even a person on their own it’s a bit pricey. We had dinner in Bonnie’s. It was very good and service was very friendly and fast but I thought the menu could have had a bit more choice but that’s just a personal opinion and the breakfast continental buffet could be better with more variety. There were ample tea bags and coffee in the room but maybe a few sachets of hot chocolate would be a nice idea for the younger guests.
- Karena (8/5): -
- Sara (10/5): Excellent - Loved the decor and vibe
- Viktors (10/5): -
- CHERYL (9/5): - Laid back feeling Rooms pretty pricey
- Jocelynn Coughlan (7/5): Nice hotel in lovely location, prepare for a costly stay. - Outdoor heated pool lovely and free bike hire. Room was nice. Food was good. Extra charge for hot tubs. Extra charge for all side dishes on an already costly food menu. Poor breakfast service both mornings.
- Madeleine (10/5): Great for families! - Travelled with my 16month old. Plenty of indoor and outdoor play for kids, great heated outdoor pool (hottest early in the morning) all very welcoming. Fabulous Babysitter also available (regularly used by Hotel Guests) Used the Spa also, excellent 👌 Nothing, loved our stay
- Aoife (9/5): -
- James (10/5): -
- Lucianne (7/5): Lovely getaway - Staff were lovely, cosy ambiance, pub in the hotel is very cool. Hot tubs were broken but they called us to tell us in advance of our trip and they gave us two complimentary drinks which we really appreciated. Bonnie’s restaurant is average. Food is fine but staff were very pleasant
- catriona (9/5): - food in Bonnie's was excellent
- Pigott (4/5): -
- Mohammad (9/5): -
- Gracjan (7/5): - The location is stunning, views are beautiful. Great area to go on walks. Very comfortable room. Food/service (dinner/breakfast) was not great, especially for the steep price. One of the tap regulators in the bathroom fell off and the one in the shower was stuck on a setting that was too hot.
- Alida (6/5): -
- Harry (8/5): -
- Siobhan (9/5): We felt rejuvenated and relaxed leaving - wonderful experience overall, would highly recommend. - Atmosphere was very relaxing. Grounds and view are breathtaking. Spa treatments were lovely. We felt so relaxed leaving after our stay. Staff were friendly. Restaurant - No sandwich available on lunch menu when we arrived! Charged €6 for water for the table! Spa - it was cold in the spa.
- Diarmuid (9/5): -
- Callum (8/5): -
- Seana (7/5): Very beautiful place but unfortunately the service let it down - The location is beautiful, rooms are comfortable and there were lots of cosy places to sit and relax which was perfect for our group. The outdoor pool is lovely The service wasn't very good. Staff were all friendly and plentyful but very inexperienced and no one seemed to be directing them. Simple things like forgetting drinks from the order, no sugar with coffee, mixing up food orders all featured regularly over the stay.
- Thomas (10/5): Amazing - The whole experience was wonderful, Everything was top quality Nothing except Ordinary teapots as opposed th flask teapot would be better The flasks stew the tea
- Keith (10/5): -
- Richie (10/5): -

- Mark (8/5): -
- Michael (8/5): - Breakfast was good. Location was a little out of the way but in a lovely area. The price??
- Alice (8/5): Very enjoyable - Stunning interior, very relaxed and enjoyable Food for both dinner and breakfast was poor, service could be improved upon.
- Chelsea (6/5): -
- Joy (10/5): -
- Joanne (7/5): -
- Muriel (8/5): Enjoyable stay - Heated outdoor swimming pool
Hot tubs
Lovely path to the lake
Bike rental
Good food Hot tub charged €50 for 1 hour on the button!
Staff reception very slow
Was €50 cheaper to book from Booking.com than directly from hotel !!!!
- Mary (7/5): Good and bad mixed - Good but added salt on butter also added to lunch food and creme brulee ?? Slightly noisy outside room at night , spa very homely could do with showers in it .
- Brian (10/5): -
- laura (10/5): -
- Ciara (10/5): - Excellent service from check in to check out
- yasmin (9/5): Perfect! - I love that there are so many activities and the room had a record player and a smeg fridge. The staff seem very busy but they are friendly and helpful
