• Ruth (10/5): Wonderful property! - A stunning, unique property which was beautifully decorated throughout. The grounds were really beautiful too. It's on a flight path, which takes some getting used to. Be prepared to be woken up at 6am! I know this can't be helped but it is something to be aware of.

Pleasant neighbourhood. Directly under Heathrow Airport flight path. Property was not clean. Extensive mould on ceiling and tiles in ensuite. Grime on shower door trims and shower head/shower fittings in ensuite. No shower gel available. Threadbare carpets in both bedrooms. Kitchen floor filthy. Oven and gas hob filthy. Kitchen worktops dirty. No washing up liquid, dishcloths or tea towels. Dirty sponges in sink. TV - unable to get standard TV channels as no aerial or cable. No information on how to log into Sky account. Unable to sit comfortably round dining table due to the layout of the room.
• John (9/5): Overall, a very nice stay after a stressful start. - Very comfortable accommodation, especially the beds. Everything was great once we gained access. Unfortunately the promised text containing access details didn't arrive, so upon arrival I had to call the host at least four times, and I left two messages requesting the details. I finally received a call after a frustrating wait.

• Paul (9/5): - Beautiful quaint flat, well equipped bathrooms & comfortable beds. The lounge/dining room is huge & the large screen TV is excellent. The kitchen is small & compact, but perfectly adequate for cooking for four. The property is very secure & safe, with a lively grassed quadrangle available for relaxing or playing in. There was only one saucepan with a lid, which was disappointing. The two large sofas are great for relaxing on, but the seats are quite deep which makes them a bit uncomfortable for sitting on for too long.

If im gonna be very picky the grout in shower room needs replacing.. but this is no reflection on the apartment because its beautiful... comfy ... roomy ... and I would still return... The discoloration is only because people staying there do not clean after a shower not the owners fault

Response to messages was good 👍 Quiet We struggled to get the TV channels but weren't there long enough to request advice. Should the bathroom extractor fan time out ? It seemed to be on all night.

• Keith (9/5): Lovely apartment in a location a short walk from the centre of Windsor - The main room was excellent, well equipped kitchen, clean and well equipped bathrooms with good toiletries and towels. Plenty of secure carparking. A nice kitchen starter kit coffee biscuits etc. There was a lot of old stuff in some of the cupboards which could do with a good clean out

There was no sound proofing on the Lounge Windows which meant the Aircraft going into Heathrow right over the Convent every 30seconds was soooo loud. We had no warning of that prior to booking. The Bed I slept in was memory foam and it was like sleeping on a wooden board. Not comfortable meant I had virtually no sleep.

It’s a shame there was a mix up with the cleaning as the initial wo - Location was great as we walked into the main area of Windsor each day, which took less than 30 minutes depending on how fast you walk. It had everything you need for a short break. Unfortunately there was a mix up with cleaning dates so we walked into how the last occupants left it, which wasn’t too bad. The host got onto it straight away with beds, towels changed and bathroom/ kitchen sprayed clean. It did mean dishwasher contents were dirty, beer bottles / cans not cleared and no vacuuming due to circumstances.

We have stayed at the property previously and this time felt it needed a deep clean. Also, the previous occasion we stayed there was a pint of milk in the fridge so this time we didn't bring milk but there wasn't any provided.

• Dion (7/5): Good location very large unit with all the expected facilities would recommend and stay again - The unit was huge and had all the mod cons you needed was handy to have a washing machine dryer. The grounds of the convent were absolutely lovely. Decor was old and dusty. Lounge definitely needs replacing and the carpet is dusty and at the end of its life definitely needs replacing otherwise was a great place to stay.

• Wenborn (8/5): - We loved the atmosphere and communiation with the host was very good. But, there was a used bandaid on the shelf in our shower which was a little disappointin. I have not removed it because I was not going to touch it and there was 3 of us staying and only 2 towels provided, so that left us feeling a little let down. We did really love the apartment and location so a little sad about minor issues.

The furniture - especially in the lounge/dining room was fabulous. Huge car park. It was a 20 min walk to the centre and castle so easy to get too. No dislikes at all

Le salon est vraiment tres cosy les informations pour l'arrivée et la récupération des clés ont été envoyées tardivement, le jour meme de l'arrivée, donc il a été un peu difficile de se comprendre avec l'hôte pour les récupérer. Mais sinon, le logement était tres agréable
• David (7/5): A quiet stay in an historic home. - Beautiful converted convent furnished with thoughtful historical pieces. Very quiet area about a mile from the town centre. Very helpful staff who assisted with luggage requirements. Both bathrooms had a lot of mould and needed a deep clean, the smell of mould in both was quite strong.
• Anthony (10/5): Same as above. - Plenty of space, 2 bedrooms, something bit different compared to boring hotel, but one of the main things for us was gated private parking. Would definitely use again. Nothing comes to mind.
• Avril (10/5): Exceptional Wow Wow Wow - The place was exceptionally clean and spacious and comfortable. The location was great and communication with the host was speedy. The host had been thoughtful about making sure there was everything from hair dryers to dishwasher tablets and kitchen roll. Possibly left but previous guests but so nice it was left for us to use ( the kitchen stuff ) And the funny baby duckling on the lawn were an absolute bonus. We liked everythibg and would stay tomorrow in a heartbeat.... The only think that would make it perfect would be the ensuite shower needed a little grout and sealant TLC... BUT it's was such a minor thing where everything else was spotless and amazing .

• Gail (4/5): Not value for money. - Close to Windsor Castle but not really walking distance. Large apartment. Initially seemed to be promising but the wheels fell off very quickly. Beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. The sheets were like sleeping on canvas, cheap quality and rough. Pillows flat and flimsy. Toilet seat broken. Very large cupboard door in kitchen fell when opened. It turned out it was for the hot water service or similar but was not marked in any way to not open. Very dangerous. Noisy at night with traffic passing, pedestrians talking loudly outside bedroom windows and planes going over. We also had to empty the dishwasher from the previous guests. Not ideal after a 10 hour drive when we were tired. Microwave inside dirty and cracked. Oven filthy. Extremely hard to get into the property. Too many doors and codes. We tried to get assistance from the host but unfortunately were met with facts and figures about how many people use the code, how many guests they had had in the past etc. Very unhelpful to weary travellers. They insisted the code worked but three of us tried and it wouldn't. We were told "follow the instructions". We waited for other tenants to come and let us in. From reading past reviews, this has been a problem for other guests. Sky TV not easy to get into if you are not IT literate. We just wanted a TV to turn on and work. Our bedroom had a wardrobe full of used dirty towels and sheets from previous guests. We were only given one normal sized towel, one very small towel and a hand towels for two adults. Not good. The bath is slippery when stepping in to have a shower and need a non-slip mat in it. Other reviews have mentioned these issues but nothing has been done. We feel that this property has no care for guests and its all about money. For the high price we paid for one night, this property needs to lifts its game. Not acceptable.

• Carol (8/5): Very good - Lovely apartment in a stunning convent building. It was a fantastic space to share with friends due to the beautiful and spacious lounge / dining area. Coffee machine and dishwasher a welcome bonus. Host could not have been more accommodating with a couple of requests we made. A bath towel each would have been good, there was only one per bathroom plus a much smaller one which in one case was a hand towel. The bath in the main bathroom really needs an anti slip mat - it was on a slope and extremely slippery. The aircraft noise put paid to any sleep from 5 am onwards.

There are low flying jumbo jets coming into land at Heathrow which are directly above. They did stop overnight but started again at 6.15am, but this can't be helped if you want this location.

• Linda (9/5): Superb - A very beautiful place to stay. The rooms were big and the beds very comfy. We enjoyed sitting in the cloisters and garden with a cup of tea. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need to make a snack right up to baking a roast meal! There is a washing machine but no drying rack or dryer to dry clothes. We used coat-hangers (there were lots) to hang our clothes from the door jams.

Due to an unexpected situation encountered by the landlord, we found that half of the room was clean and half was not cleaned after we checked in.

Host sent detailed information and was very quick to respond to any questions. It's about a 5 minute drive from the tourist centre of Windsor, very peaceful location and beautiful building.

Very dissappointed. - The location of the property was good for visiting Windsor, with buses a short walk away. The security of the car parking was excellent. There is plenty of space in the apartment. The apartment needs maintenance and a deep clean to be carried out. The oven was disgusting, greasy and full of food debris around the door frame. The interior of the microwave was rusty and the oven trays were covered in grease. The second bedroom carpet was threadbare in the corners, seemingly moth eaten. The carpets generally need cleaning. The ensuite shower needs regrouting. The front door needs repairing where it appears the lock has been changed and a hole where the old lock has been removed. The sofas are not comfortable.

• Donna (10/5): A luxury stay at a unique apartment. - This was our second visit to the Victorian Convent and once again it didn’t disappoint . Would highly recommend a stay at this amazing and unique apartment .
• Lisa (10/5): Excellent property - Convenient location. Beautiful setting. The apartment overlooked gardens with a plethora of wildlife. Excellent facilities within the apartment. The owner was extremely helpful and responded to questions in minutes.
• Colin (9/5): Very comfortable and we loved the layout and location. Appliances need attention/update - Great lounge and dining area. The apartment had lots of character and was very comfortable. Microwave needs replacing. Oven needs a good clean. Carpet in second bedroom has areas of wear and needs replacing. Front door lock is a bit poor and needs either an extra lock or replacement. Shower in en-suite needs attention. Generally a little tired in some areas.

The instructions did not work if you came on foot and not from the car park. The oven was not clean and there was no provisions. We'd have hoped as a minimum for a bottle of milk

• Aimee (6/5): Gorgeous location but disappointing stay - The location is great. Close enough to central without being overwhelmed. The property itself is fantastic with every amenity you could possibly want or need. It is also a gorgeous spot with space for the kids to play and adults to stroll around. Overall, it is gorgeous. There were two things that I didn't enjoy. Firstly - and most importantly - was to water situation. The water would go hot for about 30 seconds and then immediately go cold again for about a minute or so. This continued throughout our stay with the owner unable to rectify the situation. It was a massive disappointment as two of us in the group are disabled and we needed the hot water. Besides this fact, we did expect consistent hot water to come standard with the place we were renting. This was a massive disappointment for us and tainted our whole stay. Another point of contention were the cupboards. There is a load of space in the cupboards but a majority of it is taken up with linens, towels and cleaning supplies. This left only a small amount of space available for our clothes in the bedrooms. I will say that the cupboards in the bathrooms were mostly empty, so there was plenty space in there for our personal things.

Pillows smelt a bit musty and think they need to be new with new pillow cases. But would definitely book again without hesitation.
