Guest Reviews
- Mary (5/5): Passable -
- Ziggy (10/5): Beautiful Home, incredible staff - I absolutely loved this property so much that I rebooked it a few times and will continue to do so. It is the cutest little hidden gem a 10min walk from Highbury & Islington station. Very clean and tidy and felt like home.
I not only love this little gem but also the staff who run this property and many others (VERV) are so kind, friendly, personable, accommodating, understanding, flexible and the list goes on and all their properties are well kept and so affordable that I use them all the time for long term and short term. I cannot recommend them enough. The garden could do with some work.
- Syed (5/5): Passable -
- Kate (1/5): Awful! - The only benefit of staying here was the location to Union Chapel Smell of cigarettes, we had bedding provided that has just been pulled off the sofa bed from previous guests and shoved the cupboard. We had to change all the bedding and pillow cases.
We found some shake n vac in the kitchen to put down but it didn’t make any difference.
The back yard was full of broken furniture and Gym equipment.
We tried to open the windows to ease the smoke smell but the smell of weed from downstairs was overpowering.
When we returned from our evening out the whole place absolutely stank of Weed.
- David (1/5): Bad feeling about this place and a rip-off, unexpected security deposit. - Nothing. I got a bad feeling when I walked up to the place and it was poorly lit with garbage and paint tins strewn outside the entrance. Standing in the rain I called them for access and they told me I need to pay an additional £300 security deposit. The room was £72. This was not advertised nor explained in the pre-arrival message. Always trust your gut and this seemed dodgy so I asked for a refund but of course, that's not happening.
I have called booking.com twice, emailed them several and I am no closer to getting any money back even though I didn't stay in what I feel is clearly a scam property. Booking.com say it's up to the host whether I get refunded or not. Again, that is not happening. For a company like booking, I expect better.
£72 wasted and I will never use booking.com again.
