Guest Reviews
- Ashton (2/5): - Location is great and cottage is well equipped. The owners chose to have building work done on the property they own next door - this meant there was loud banging and drilling going on throughout our stay, and we couldn't use the lounge to relax in. Also, because the owners are trying to make this into one large property, a doorway had been made into the adjoining wall (this was done a day before our stay). Consequently the cottage was thick with dust. The owners will not allow the host to give out their details, and the host can do nothing about complaints. Be warned - this is a lovely property, but if you have an issue it may not get solved!
- Lou (9/5): - Lovely cosy cottage in a very central and beautiful part of town. Excellent pubs and restaurants nearby, I would definitely stay again! Host very responsive to messages and questions.

- Christian (9/5): Genau was wir wollten - alles wirklich Bestens ! - Sehr tolle Lage direkt in der Altstadt.
- Amy (9/5): Beautiful cottage in perfect location - Excellent location and beautiful cosy cottage. Well-appointed with character. Parking nearby using permit. Perfect for walking around the city. Paula was super helpful and we loved our stay. We liked all of it and had an amazing stay. To make it perfect we would have just preferred an electric kettle, and a full blind in the bathroom.

- Paul (9/5): Very enjoyable stay in a very cosy cottage. - Great location near the Cathedral. A good place to stay for a short break. The property was very clean and the hostess was very attentive and keen to help. The property is small but that is the price you pay for a wonderful location near the Cathedral and Winchester School.
- Tim (9/5): A Christmas Carol - Superb position on a "Dickensian" street a short walk from the Cathedral. Very atmospheric for a Christmas stay. Didn't use the pub at bottom of the street but did go to The Green Man at top - nice beer and Malaysian food.
Cooked our Christmas Dinner there and kitchen had everything we needed. Nothing. Really well equipped and cosy. Woodburner worked well - we brought extra wood and kindling with us. Always lots of hot water.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alison (9/5): Perfect for exploring the town if you just want to park and not get back in the car again for the weekend. - The location and the style is the property. A couple of things were missing but the host was very attentive and helped to sort these out for us. We’d highly recommend a welcome pack for guests who have short stays… timber for the fire, a few coffee capsules for the first morning. And/ or to provide a list of what isn’t provided so you know what to bring.
- Emma (10/5): A perfect property to enjoy a mini break in Winchester. - The location of the cottage is amazing. In central Winchester but so peaceful. The property is a good mix of modern convenience and period features. A great place to stay. I found the high free standing bath/shower difficult to get into and use but I am 5’ 3” and have an arthritic hip. My husband and son had no problem using it.
