Guest Reviews
- Kathleen (9/5): This is a cool loft style apartment with the sleeping areas on mezzanines. Quiet and well-located. -
- MARCO (10/5): -
- Govert (10/5): Great! Thanks to the host! - Great location. Friendly host giving lots of information. Spacious accommodation.
- Vyas (10/5): Fantastic stay. - The apartment was spacious and clean and beautifully decorated. And located in an excellent space which was walking distance to most places I wanted to visit.
- Jürgen (9/5): Superb -
- Ludovica (10/5): Very well located in a very lively neighbourhood yet the flat is quiet - Very charming and clean. The host has been exceptionally helpful and accommodating helping me to accommodate some specific needs
I would definitely go back!’
- Bert (3/5): Very hot - pay extra for electricity - The location is great. There are no two separate bedrooms, contrary to the description provided to me. There is a platform in the living room with a double bed, and there is a room connected with stairs to the living room, without doors. So there is no bedroom that has doors. Very unpractical for noise.
The flat is really extremely hot because it is basically a reconverted attic and so just under the roof. The walls and the roof radiate heat, all the time. But you are not allowed to use air conditioning for more than an hour a day unless you pay extra!
Yes, that's right: guests are allocated a certain amount of electricity which is basically nothing, and you have to pay extra if you use more! So please note that you will pay per day at least 8 -10 euro's extra in order to have a minimal level of confort.
Shower and other amenities are functional but basic.
The location is good but all in all my experience was disappointing. Having to monitor the amount of electricity you are using in order to avoid a big extra bill is not my idea of a holiday. And even with airco it is not easy to achieve a pleasant temperature because the space is large and you're right under the roof.
- Ying (7/5): spacious apartment in the central of Palermo - the apartment is very big and nicely decorated, and it is located in the ZTL zone, easy to walk to all sites. but also means need to buy ZTL ticket everyday if you drive. the drive in and out of the apartment is not that easy as it require to get off the car and open the gate manually. the use of apartment is strictly limited by the owner, as limited use of electricity, limited use of wash machine, no tissues, no kitchen towels, no shampoo, etc. consider the price I paid for the daily rent, I think it is highly unreasonable. if I can not use it, why should I stay at airbnb, better stay at hotel.
- Lloyd (8/5): ZTL zonophobia - Location was very good, quiet locale. Nearby Supermercato very helpful
Beds very good. Inside parking secure. Both collaborators were responsive, but live off premises. Finding location, driving through parts of town to get to meeting point. Very complicated ZTL system, that even owners did not know correctly. Makes driving to other areas outside of ZTL zone a pain, so you don't really feel comfortable driving your car once you are there.
A big negative is circular stairway to main sleeping quarters. VERY narrow, hard to carry up large suitcases (hope you're not more tha 6 ft tall). Ended up leaving all belongings in LR, where there was a bathroom and just going up the stairs to sleep.. Only air conditioning unit in main bedroom not in LR, kitchen level.
Anyway, owners responsive, enjoyed our visit overall.
- Kristina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (10/5): Like having a home instead of a suite - Spacious, modern, easy walk to everything, secure parking, good hosts, clean and comfortable Little bit nervous on steep steps to loft bedrooms, esp with luggage
- Angela (9/5): Spacious apartment, wonderful location. - Beautiful spacious apartment in a fantastic location. Easy to walk everywhere with cafes and restaurants all around. Parking within the complex, even though charged 10 euro a day as no parking anywhere. Facilities said it had a washing machine. Host only lets you use it if you stay for a week. The washing machine was locked away. Difficult to navigate the narrow streets to the apartment in a car. Tight narrow spiral staircase to main bedroom.
- Marcia (10/5): Love renovated, repurposed palazzi! - Location was so convenient to Via Emanuele and Via Roma, historical sites, cafes, restaurants, cathedrals, gardens, open market, grocery store and a fabulous Marika hair salon just around the corner. Apartment was spacious, bright, clean, well furnished and simply decorated. We were not economical enough with our use of A/C and evening lights. My friend chose to sleep downstairs on a comfy sofa instead of going up the stairs to a comfy bed. Both of us preferred more water pressure and quicker hot water. But we chose not to contact our hosts to improve that issue. We were too busy seeing Palermo!
- Kim (10/5): Everything was perfect. Owner was very helpful and gave good tips where to go for dinner. Her collaborator was extreme - Location, beautiful building, apartment was immaculate, elevator.
- Yudi (9/5): It’s overall a very wonderful experience - The apartment is spacious and very comfortable. It’s located in a quiet courtyard, away from tourist noise, yet it’s still in the historical town. Major attractions are within walking distance. The host Gabriella is very responsive and helpful!
- José (10/5): The best possible accommodation in Palermo - In our third trop to Palermo, my wife and I spent nine nights at Palazzo Resuttana. The location couldn’t be better: at walking distance to all main points of interest and also to a supermarket (just one block away). The parking space within the building has proved to be critical, since there are no parking spots in the city. The apartment is at the second floor, with an elevator. It is spacious and very bright, with a fully equipped kitchen (and a washing machine). All the premises were vey clean. The wi-fi worked fine, at high speed. There are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The bed was great (very good mattress, what is usually difficult to find). Our host, Gabriella, was extremely attentive and courteous. We only regret that we hadn’t stayed there in our previous trips… But we surely will stay at Palazzo Resuttana in the next ones.
