Guest Reviews
- Chris (7/5): I would think twice if I was staying in Shepparton again - It was clean and comfortable We checked in after hours and had to call even though I had sent a message saying we would be late there was no response.
There was no map at check in to tell us where our room was.
- Natalie (7/5): -
- Nathan (10/5): -
- Natasha (8/5): Clean and quiet - clean, quiet location a little far to walk to town at night, hard to find where to leave the keys checking out!
- jackie (6/5): Unsatisfactory due unclean room, noisy exhaust fan and lack of extra pillows. We will not use this venue again. V - Location Room was dirty - coffee stains on wall by table. Skirting boards also had stains where they have never been wiped.
Requested extra pillows - there were 2 on bed but no extras in room. Rang at 3.45 and got put through to main answering service person. She said she would pass on the message to our hotel.
No pillows arrived by 5.45. Rang again. Again spoke to main answering service - there was no record of my 3.45 call. This person said she’d pass on my request.
The pillows did not arrived so therefore I slept very badly and had neck ache in the morning.
The exhaust fan in the bathroom is very loud. There is no switch to turn it off. It goes off 16minutes after you turn off the light. This is a problem at 2am as you try to get back to sleep after using the toilet.

- Elissa (7/5): New property, comfortable, friendly - Property was very new, room and bathroom were small but very nice. Bed was comfortable and a king size as stated. Most of the staff were very friendly and provided excellent customer service. The fridge was very small, more like a wine fridge, no freezer section in the fridge and overall, the food and drink I put in the fridge was barely cold.
I had to ask for housekeeping to come after 2 days of no servicing of the room. I would expect at the price of the property that the rooms were serviced everyday.
Laundry facilities were excellent.

- Fabian (7/5): -
- Heather (7/5): -
- Saradrakeford (7/5): Weekend away - Clean. Nice crisp bedsheets. Well equipped The room was small however we were in Shepparton for a birthday celebration and spent very little time there.
A little too far out of the cbd.
- Heather (8/5): Not great. Won’t go back in a hurry - Close proximity to where we needed to be There were no windows that could open so it was very stuffy in the room. It ended up being really warm but putting the air con on would have meant it was blowing right on us while we slept.
There was hair in the bathroom and there was also this black dust on the wall behind the bathroom door
The fridge was tiny for a one bedroom apartment. And it was iced up there was so much ice covering the back of the fridge.
And one teabag though there was 10 coffee sachets but one teabag.
In the second room. Again no opening windows. Very stuffy and there was food left on the fridge from the previous renters. Though this room had 5 teabags very inconsistent
Not a good review unfortunately. Seeing as it’s not very old I expected a lot more
- Parisa (10/5): - The hotel was comfortable , clean and excellent location. Everything we had going on was unintentionally 4-5 mins distance which was amazing and convenient. Staff were friendly and bed was comfortable, lovely bathroom etc If we had to pick on anything - which is not a huge deal- but we wish the milk provided was a little more instead of pod size
- Santosh (10/5): -
- Patricia (8/5): - Everything Nothing
- Yu (8/5): -
- Titus (8/5): all good - No breakfast served Breakfast
- Klara (8/5): -
- Catherine D (9/5): -
- Ceza (7/5): - There were no windows to look outside
- Genevieve (9/5): Very comfortable and welcoming experience. - Very comfortable bed and clean room It was a bit further away from where we were going than I imagined.
- Kasey (8/5): - the vibe was cute. bed was super comfortable. in future would stay however would ask for a room towards the back of the property. I found it hard to sleep with the noise from the main road.
- Eloise (9/5): - New building, clean, comfortable and liked the big tv too.
- Ayse (5/5): - Nice location and room Didn't get given towels
- Melissa (6/5): Adequate for our overnight purpose, but more than one night would have been poor. - Location & convenience
In room facilities were good - appliances, etc (except tv)
Reasonably clean
Secure parking Broken toilet seat
TV that didn’t function properly
Not enough pillows (only 1 spare in the cupboard)
Lots of rubbish around the property (generated by guests)
Too expensive (acknowledging it was school holidays)
- Alexandra (4/5): - Too close to the road, which is very busy and no sound proofing. Neither is the rooms sound proofed so can hear you’re neighbors on both sides no matter what.
- Leanne (4/5): - King size Bed. Receptiom closes at 5. Just made it. Room jad No tea or coffee yet milk? No bottle water or snacks. No view. Not worth the huge price tag school.hols n packed acvom in town.
- George (3/5): Unsatisfactory - Staff was rude
Couldn't watch netflix connect to internet
Found only 3 sachets of coffee for the price we paid not acceptable
Wont be returning
- Robyn (8/5): - Location was great, staff were very welcoming and room was perfect No green tea
- Robert (10/5): -
- Christina (6/5): I don’t think that I will go back - We stayed for four nights and not once did we see any staff asking us if we needed anything, the shower was blocked full of hair and my husband had to unblock it, there was no nice area to go to sit and have a cigarette for the smokers,
- allan (9/5): Easter stopover - The 1 bedroom apartment we stayed in was spacious as it was the disabled room. The lounge consisted of a 2 person couch, single club chair and a round kitchen table. Bed was comfortable and parking was good as it was a quiet evening. Insufficent bathroom shelving for your toiletries near hand basin. The noisey bathroom exhaust fan that cannot be turned off as it is set on a long timer.
- Cameron (8/5): -
- Asyraf (10/5): -
- Michelle (9/5): -
- Karen (8/5): Easy, clean, comfortable - Everything overall was good, clean
Good space,
nice shower My husband said bed was a bit soft
Coffee cups too small
No coffee sachets
No tissues
Only fridge, no freezer
No dishcloths
- Tanya (8/5): Highly recommend this modern and comfortable hotel. - Large comfortable king bed with the best pillows I’ve had at a hotel in a while. The room and bathroom was new, clean and felt luxurious. The amenities were also great. The fridge wasn’t very cold and we couldn’t access the tv for most of our stay as the internet was down.
- Sarah (9/5): - Needs a pool
- John (6/5): Comfortable - Comfortable The fridge doesn’t cool properly and the shower drain could not keep up . The reception wasn’t open to tell them at 9am.
- Minty (8/5): - The bed was super comfy, the parking is amazing & secure. Couldn't accommodate a request to put flowers in the room for me but aside from that the stay was lovely.
- Belinda (8/5): Friendly and helpful staff and very comfortable bed - Friendly and helpful staff and very comfortable bed Big car parks just a little hard to get in and out of
No room numbers on the parks
- Donald (8/5): Cpuld be better - Roomy, clean and new Noisy bathroom fan that runs for ages after light turned off!
Refrigerator very verysmall for an "apartment;"
No written advice re internet access
- Emily (10/5): -
- Evelyn (9/5): -
- Rav (3/5): - Very small room
- Samuel (9/5): -
- Kerrie (10/5): -
- cosgun (10/5): - Very clean and cozy, No balcony
- Rhys (8/5): -
- Gary (8/5): Perfect place to stay for a few day's visit. - Everything was very good within the room, only thing missing was a toaster. Exit at the rear of the motel is not very good, scraping the bottom of the car no matter what angle I tried to exit from. I think they need to place metal grate across the gutter to the road, so this doesn't happen to other guests.
- Smith (9/5): -
- Mein (8/5): - Overall very nice. Room a bit small but nice Room a bit small . No water bottles in fridge.
- Andrew (10/5): Great Hotel - I enjoyed my stay here at the mantra
The lady at reception was so kind and welcoming
I enjoyed staying in the room
It was very clean.
- Jordan (10/5): -
- Jayde (7/5): -
- Michael (8/5): -
- Pam (8/5): Will be back - Location Carpark
- Adam (7/5): Modern, new, clean with free parking no breakfast or food available or additional facilities - Modern, new, very clean and comfortable The 5pm reception closure was challenging. There was no information provided in the room, and unfortunately my room did not have a housekeeping door hanger, which meant it wasn’t serviced and I didn’t receive clean towels. Returning after 5pm with no staff on site made resolving this quite difficult as the after hours number was for emergency only.
- Geoffrey (9/5): Very comfortable night at this facility. I would recommend it for a stay in Shepparton. - It was very clean, the staff were pleasant and welcoming, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a walk in shower with lots of nice products supplied, and it had a night light that came on when the door was opened. Car parking was supplied and undercover. Great to have a lift for luggage. Extra pillows for the bed. An information sheet about places to eat.
- Signe (8/5): -

Absolutely worth it
- John (9/5): Nice - Clean
- Sarah (4/5): -
- Mark (9/5): -
- siew (9/5): We stayed 2 nights in the 1br apartment. Good size and facilities. - Good location, new and clean. Tight parking spots for turning.
Fridge did not seem to be working well.
Would have appreciated supply of some milk pods, and a refill of tea bags (only 2 supplied).
- lisa (9/5): Excellent we will return! - Location, exceptionally clean, comfortable, great staff. Parking was a little difficult with a larger car.
- Nathan (9/5): -
- Hughes (5/5): Ok - It’s new Parking was really tight and the room was very small for the money
- Brendan (10/5): -
- Brendon (1/5): Terrible - Nothing False advertising, room was absolutely tiny and cramped with furniture
- Christine (10/5): Wonderful and comfy - The space in the room, seperate bedroom The cups for coffee or tea where small need bigger ones
- Uttam (10/5): -
- Gregory (6/5): So so - Checking in is reasonably annoying as the reception keeps very short hours. The location is somewhat handy for the hospital but is substantially far from the cbd and on a busy road
- Kelvin (6/5): -
- Robyn (9/5): -
- John (10/5): -
- Jill (8/5): Motel was lovely but nowhere to put things - Property was lovely and clean and new There was no benches to put a foldout suitcase or any bench space in the bathroom
- Tony (9/5): - Easy late key pick up nice and quiet Didn't have enough toilet paper the pillows were no good all of them were way to high to use
- Alex (7/5): -
- Sandra (5/5): - Disappointed that the property was not completed. There was No breakfast option.
- Anne (8/5): Great new apartments in a top spot - The Mantra Shepparton is a brand new build and the apartments are modern, well-equipped, and very comfortable. Great location close to everything. Being a new property, there are still a few teething issues — the toilet needed a few flushes to work properly, and it could really do with a thorough vacuum to get rid of new-build dust. Would also love to see proper mugs in the room instead of the tiny cups. That said, overall a great stay and once those little issues are sorted, it’ll be even better.
- Kerrylee78 (8/5): Very good - Brand new facilities, very comfortable and close to where we needed to be. Limited parking
- Traceyleigh (6/5): Comfy bed but need to upgrade their service and amenities - Bed was comfy, room was warm. Great size tv - rooms were sound proof
Shampoo, conditioner and body wash were nice. I know this property has not been open all that long but need to give more training to staff.
Parking was terrible and you could see many dents in the boundary fence where cars hat hit it trying to park or leave the parks. I have a big car and lucky there were not many staying there so I had room to maneuver but still had to go forward and backwards a couple of times to get out.
No toiletries in the bathroom - shower cap, tissues.
Shower leaks and heads towards the drain but right in front of the basin so when using basin you are standing in water. Another reason I needed more towels.
I ask for extra towels for my hair and this was greeted with "oh were there no towels in your room?"
Yes there were towels but I needed a couple of extra ones. I have never stayed anywhere and was questioned on getting extra towels. It seemed an effort to get the extra towels up to my room.
Office was often locked and reception was closed by 5:30pm. Not sure what the process was if there was an emergency or we needed something after this time.
Rubbish under bed.
Such a big chain hotel and this is the service - the rooms were nice but we won't be going back.
I have since read all the reviews and most of them mention at least one thing I have. They obviously don't read their reviews or can't be bothered fixing things mentioned.
- Joanna (4/5): - I won’t stay here agin, the car park was very narrow to park the car even for small car. I saw 2 cars got stuck while the owners tried to park the cars.
No room cleaning during my stay, the bar fridge was not cold.
- Wai (5/5): Passable - Good for one night stay. The window is high up. It feels like surrounded by four walls. The room is relatively small. Can hear outside noises. Unsure where the front entrance door was.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Abraham (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bishal (7/5): Location and cleanliness - Location, staff, clean Room didn't have natural air ventilation and small
