• Alicja (10/5): I highly recommend it; it’s an experience you simply must have for yourself! - Stunning historic stay! The building is absolutely magnificent! Staying here feels like stepping back in time, yet everything is impeccably maintained with incredible attention to detail. The interior is filled with gallery-worthy paintings and beautiful antique furniture. I was completely enchanted by the atmosphere!
• Vasyl (10/5): - Very conveniently located hotel in a historical building. Great manager who is always on site and is ready to help you with every possible request you may have. He helped us to organise a car hire with a driver which was below market price. Even though hotel is based in the historical building there's a difference between vintage and neglect. A little bit of maintenance and cleaning would help. No toiletries provided (we didn't ask if they could provide it since we had our own)

• Steven (7/5): Character-filled property - This place has a lot of character. The room was huge! I get the impression it’s being done up bit by bit. It was nice to have the balcony area. It’s in a good location but not right in the centre of the bustle so it felt relaxing. The room was great but the bathroom not so much. It was fine though - everything worked and it had all the things I expected it to have.

• Sangeeta (1/5): Worst experience - Only the location Everything. The first room offered, had a moist smell, dirty upholstery and lizard. They did change the room in which all the other factors remained the same except the smell, the smell was not there in the second room. The AC was not at all powerful to cool the room and I couldn't sleep through the night as I was constantly bitten by mosquitos, the room didn't have a mosquito repellent.
• Jamie (8/5): Cool place in perfect location - Very cool old house, excellent location and the owner is so helpful and friendly. We also had a great breakfast :) Just issues that come with these type of stays. Bathroom isnt the best, amenities in the room very old but no major issues

• sergio (10/5): Stay fantastic and marvellous stuff. - A fantastic stay! It is very centrally located, and Markos's hospitality was wonderful. If I return to Kochi, I will definitely stay there again, and I recommend it wholeheartedly. The food they prepare is also excellent; since spicy food doesn't agree with me, they cooked some of my meals—including breakfast—without any spice just for me. Everything was very tasty. No hubo nada malo realmente, el calor que hacía en Kochi ya casi en Abril, cuidado con eso.

• Dagmar (8/5): Lovely place where you feel at home instantly! - Very close to everything, walkable distance to nice restaurants and cafes. Came for the Biennale and everything was right there. The place itself is a lovely old house which has been kept in that style. The staff was more than helpful, you felt at home right away as if you’d belong to the family. Very good breakfast! Thanks again, you made my stay memorable and I’ll definitely come again! Bathroom and A/C could do with a renewal.

L’arredamento e le finiture di stile coloniale rendono molto piacevole il soggiorno, per non parlare delle colazioni variate e abbondanti. • Karishma (1/5): Ballard Bungalow cancelled our booking with less than 36 hours notice - Nothing I had booked 2 rooms at Ballard Bungalow 45 days in advance via booking.com 48 hours before we were due to check in - I got a whatsapp message saying that our 2 rooms had been confirmed. On the evening of that day, I was sent another message "Sorry not confirmed" followed by "I forgot to put the word not I am really sorry" "Your rooms are not confirmed" "I am sorry for not putting the word 'not'" These messages were sent less than 36 hours before we were due to check in - no explanation, no offer to help us find another place, nothing. Just washed their hands off the matter, like it had nothing to do with them.
• Heinrich (10/5): Old Dutch splendour Kochi style - Going back in time yet unpretentious, you can feel the history in this early Dutch bungalow. The teak beds, floor boards and ceiling are enough to not want you leave your room. The hotel is very well situated to enjoy the local flavours of Fort Kochi. Marcos the manager is a very empathetic man and a cool guy.
