• Ria (9/5): Atello provides comfortable accommodation not far from great restaurants - this is a beautiful guesthouse situated in the quiet part of town but not far from local venues for entertainment and food not much parking here, and nothing else to dislike

Mariette, the owner, is truly amazing and goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Everything was spotless, beautifully presented, and incredibly comfortable—it really felt like a home away from home. The breakfast was first class and such a highlight of my stay. I was genuinely blown away by the experience and would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended!

• Ron (9/5): Wonderful and extemely relaxing property. - We were made to feel exremely welcome from the moment we arrived at this beautiful guest house. It had an atomsphere of being extremely relaxed from the moment we walked in. Our room ws clean, spacious and very well appointed, opening directly onto the garden with a good sized pool. There were numerous options for sitting in different shaded areas. Our host was looking after the place for the owners. He couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was excellent.

• J (10/5): Een geweldig verblijf, een groe aanrader - Atello is gelegen in een rustige wijk nabij het centrum van George. Winkels en goede restaurants zijn op loopafstand. De ontvangst was zeer vriendelijk. Mariëtte deed uitermate haar best om het ons naar de zin te maken. De inrichting van zowel de ontvangstruimte/eetgedeelte als de kamers is liefelijk. Er is veel gelet op details. De tuin met zwembad is werkelijk prachtig met veel groen en bloemen en daarachter de bergen. De kamers zijn super schoon en de bedden slapen heerlijk. We komen graag nog eens terug. Kan niets bedenken.

Warm welcome from a lovely host. Room and ensuite bathroom were large, clean and beautifully decorated. Very quiet location. Gorgeous garden and lovely swimming pool with swimming towels provided. Excellent breakfast. Safe and secure with secure parking too. Highly recommended! Not a thing wrong!!

• Peter (10/5): Persönlich, herzlich, willkommenene Oase. - Der sehr herzliche Empfang unserer netten Gastgeberin Marietta. Sie ist um jeden Wunsch sehr bemüht und denkt voraus schauend. Ob es um einen Regenschirm geht oder eine TeeTime im Golf Club. Sie macht alles möglich. Das Anwesen ist eine Oase, einfach sehr geschmackvoll und persönlich, die Lage sehr zentral, ruhig und sicher. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wieder! Es gab gar nichts zu bemängeln.

A truely wonderful experience There is truely not a single thing at Atello that I didn't like. I will never stay at any other institution in George. It's that simple.

• Klaus (9/5): Top Unterkunft. Erwartungen wurden bei weitem übertroffen! - Die Gastgeberin war äüßerst zuvorkommend. Die gesamte Anlage ist in einem sehr guten Zustand und wird aufwendig und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gepflegt und ausgestattet. Sehr zu empfehlen.

The rooms are nicely designed and the layout around the garden and pool was really nice. I’d highly recommend as a place the stay and would definitely go back next time I’m passing through. Really good value for money.

• Joanna (10/5): We loved the place - What a gem! This boutique hotel exceeded our expectations. It is located in a quiet road, has a secure parking, lovely mature gardens and stylish rooms. Everything is pristinely clean and tidy. The rooms had tea/coffee facilities which include fresh coffee beans, coffee grinder and french press. There is also a small bottle of sherry. The beds are firm and very comfortable. Breakfast is served in a beautifully decorated room with the garden and mountain views! I was sorry to leave

• Asmaa (10/5): Beautiful stay in George! - We stayed at Atello in George for one night due to an early flight to Johannesburg the next morning and were pleasantly surprised by how lovely this place was. The hotel is really beautiful. Our room was spacious, very well designed, and extremely comfortable, with a large and stylish bathroom. The garden is absolutely stunning and added to the relaxed feel of the stay. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and a great start to the day. I would happily recommend Atello to anyone visiting George and would definitely stay here again. Nothing negative - would have loved to have spent more time in the garden and hotel.

• Marie (10/5): We will return - On arrival we were met by Marietta who made us feel so welcome . We were shown to our suite which was really lovely . Later on we wished to go to the Italian and Marietta gave us exact directions and offered to show us the way but we declined her lovely offer. . It was only 5 mins walk from us and safe to walk back later. The room was perfect , big bed very comfortable . Air Con- we did not need to use . Coffee ( freshly ground ) and tea making facilities in room as well as mini fridge . Breakfast was superb muesli, yoghurts , fruit etc - we were also offered a lovely warm breakfast cooked by Marietta. We were made to feel so welcome and Marietta went above and beyond her job looking after us . Atello was recommended to us by friends who stay there on and off over the past 2 yrs . It exceeded our expectations in every way . We had a flight at lunchtime and Marietta arranged an Uber for us . • Jill (8/5): Beautiful Boutique Style Accommodation With Lots Of Unique Personal Touches - A lovely property with a charming hostess, who paid exceptional attention to detail. Quiet location and beautiful gardens, yet only a short walk to restaurants. The breakfast was very good with a choice of items and delicious coffee. I hadn’t realised that not all the rooms had aircon, and ours had a fan. In fairness, this was actually in the individual room description, which I had missed. I think Booking.com needs to add in additional fields to the headline filters, to enable proprietors to add in all the relevant options. Luckily it wasn’t too hot so the fan was sufficient, hence I didn’t mention it to our lovely hostess.
