Guest Reviews
- Marcelle (10/5): An unforgettable stay with flawless hospitality and thoughtful touches. - I very rarely take the time to leave reviews, but it would be a disservice not to highlight the extraordinary welcome and support I received from the host. From the moment I arrived, everything felt seamless and thoughtfully curated. The location was perfect, the space immaculate, and the atmosphere warm and inviting.
What truly set this experience apart was the host herself—she was nothing short of phenomenal. Her attention to detail was impeccable, and her responsiveness was lightning-fast whenever I had a question or needed anything. It’s rare to encounter someone so genuinely committed to making a guest feel not just accommodated, but truly cared for.
Every little touch reflected her dedication, and it made my stay feel less like a booking and more like a homecoming. If you're looking for a place that combines comfort, charm, and outstanding hospitality, look no further. This was second to none. Nothing to say here
- Giles (10/5): Excellent property - Lovely property in an excellent location with plenty of parking, host friendly and good communication, nice toiletries supplied and milk and water left in the fridge. Great value for money would definately recommend and book again 👌🏼 Was all fantastic
- carles (7/5): Bona relació qualitat preu - Ben situat, a prop del centre i amb aparcament. Tot molt net i molts estris. És força petit, terrassa maca però un xic descuidada
- Misako (7/5): - Great location and outside space was big and nice. The river was pretty Sofa and mattress were not very comfortable
- Adrian (10/5): Outstanding property - Really well maintained, absolutely everything you could need really comfortable. Nice to have an array of hot drinks and bottles water on arrival. Very close to the centre of Canterbury and the rail station. Enjoyed the stream at the bottom of the garden, lots of wildlife. Very pleasant garden area which we would have enjoyed more if the rain would of held off. Our host was really lovely and checked in with us a could have times to make sure all was ok. We would certainly recommend. Nothing
- Fleur and Gary (9/5): Lovely and stylish accommodation. Very well appointed with nice additional touches - Lovely and stylish accommodation. Very well appointed with nice additional touches such as milk, water, wine and eco toiletries in the bathroom. We also enjoyed the riverside terrace. Very peaceful, and only 5 mins to the historic city centre. Thoughtful and kind host. Thank you. Room tip: the double bed was a bit small. If this is an issue, you can ask for sheets for the sofa bed. This gives more room for sleeping, especially in hot weather.
- James (10/5): Beautiful cottage, a perfect bolthole - The most perfect little bolthole in the most beautiful of settings, a lazy stream at the bottom of the garden and everything within walking distance. Very attentive host and the parking was perfect, I even extended my stay! That I couldn’t stay longer, zero complaints
- Yasser (10/5): Beautiful - Very beautiful place and relaxing environment I love it. The bed was a little bit small
- Joanna (8/5): -
- Andrius (10/5): Great n cozy place. - Wonderful place with lovely private garden n place to sit outside with a sounds of river . Loads of small thing and details thought out to make u feel welcome.
- Jo (10/5): Calm oasis in the centre of Canterbury. - Perfectly located, quiet, great use of space, nice touches. Private parking! In Canterbury, that’s a real bonus.
- Richard (9/5): a lovely quite location, 5 minutes walk from the town center. Clean, cosy and very nice. - Key code received on the day of arrival, no problems at all.
The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and suited our weekend stay perfectly. The hot water tap in the bathroom over the sink could perhaps be improved on.
- Brian (10/5): Cosy cottage in walking distance to everything yet very reasonably priced. - Excellent location. Tastefully decorated and well appointed. Washing machine a great bonus.
- Globetraveller (7/5): Good - It was very clean, great location. There is a drywall in the kitchen so you can hear everything that goes on next door. Sounds like they are in the kitchen. Rather loud!
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gary (10/5): Fantastic and highly recommend! - Immaculately clean, well appointed and so comfortable! With a fabulous outside space looking over the stream.
5 min stroll to centre of town
- Maria (10/5): Riverside Cottage - Lovely little cottage. Perfect location. The host was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend.
- Melina (10/5): A wonderful stay! - A very cleverly adapted space that had everything you might need and was very comfortable. Great location too.
- Will (8/5): Very good -
- Nisha (10/5): Lovely stay in Canterbury, great location - Comfortable, cosy, good location. Host was very responsive, hospitable and kind - even dropped us off a fan due to the extremely hot weather! Had everything we needed and a nice garden area
- Sam (8/5): Great location by a beautiful river! - Cosy house in a brilliant location, and with an incredible view of a beautiful, healthy river full of fish behind. Keys only fit in the lockbox one way, so be careful putting them back in! Also: There's not a proper seal around the front door, so not a great stay for winter.
- Andy (9/5): Superb -
- Christine (9/5): perfect little short stay with everything we needed easily accessible. - greeted by host. great facilities .quiet peaceful with lovely little garden by the river / a forest backdrop yet 5 minutes from shops ,parks, amenities restaurants and the Cathedral .Theatre and notable landmarks-
great access to roads network to the Coast
off road parking and secure safe property
perfect little short stay
- Tom (9/5): Superb - The garden area and bbq
- Stephen (5/5): Location, location, location. - Location is excellent. The apartment is a great use of a small space, Great for 2 but no more. Parking is tight, beware opening the doors onto the brick pillars if you have a rental. The parking is shared, think ahead if you are going out in case you get blocked in. Let the Landlord know. The bed is not up to standard and is high one side and sinks the other. The shower may be short on hot water if you are washing clothes in the washing machine. Our first shower was terrible and that is the only thing we could put it down to as later showers were OK.
- Xiling (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bill (10/5): Fantastic little cosy and warm place with private car parking place. Highly recommended - Free car parking right in front of the property. Super cosy place, nice and warm deco, very tidy and well equipped with everything you will need. A quick 5 mins walk to High Street. It's a great experience. Nothing much honestly.
- Hayley (10/5): Great little place - Sweet little cottage with a sunny garden. Great communication with the host, who accommodated my needs perfectly. Loved it.
- Carol (8/5): Riverside Delight - 1: It's location, easy walk to the King's Mile and other attractions.
2: The host! She was so friendly, generous, and helpful, and I was able to resolve any issue we had immediately.
3: The thoughtful provisioning of our accommodation, even down to umbrellas if the need arose.
4: The courtyard, backing onto the river. It is a perfect spot for a peaceful stay.
Think of a large mobile home on land, with a picturesque and unique setting and the nicest host you could imagine, and there you have Riverside Cottage. The bed was too small for our needs, but we were able to set up the couch pull out bed.
If we were younger and slimmer, it might have been fun!
- Alfred (10/5): a great time in a very interesting and historic city. - No breakfast (not expected), and the location was great for us, as was the private parking space. The apt was well-equipped and had a lovely backyard. And it was a nice 10 minute walk to the Cathedral. Thanks. We liked it all.
- Hayley (10/5): Peaceful haven close the the city - Really great cosy cottage within easy walking distance of Canterbury City centre and Cathedral. Lots of nice touches especially the lovely toiletries. Pretty garden next to the water.
- Anonymous (9/5): Fantastic property with everything a couple needs for a short stay. - Very comfortable and had everything we needed for a 1 night stay. Parking was a bonus and also property was within walking distance for all shops and restaurants. There was nothing I didn’t like
- Matthew (10/5): Perfect location. Quiet but central. Ideal for visiting Canterbury. - Lovely, cosy, 1 bed cottage with private garden/patio that looks out over the river. N/A
- Cheri (9/5): Superb - Fantastic location, beautiful surroundings, very clean, everything you need for a short stay. The little extras like tea, coffee, milk, chocolates. Very thoughtful Bed was uncomfortable, dipped in the middle, woke with a bad neck.
- David (10/5): A lovely stay, property is just several minutes walking distance to city centre. Very quiet and peaceful - A lovely property, very well finished.
Great outdoor space
- Paula (10/5): Exceptional - Central. Clean. Milk and drinks in fridge. Tea and coffee was very welcome.garden gorgeous. Nothing
- Anonymous (10/5): It was perfect for our stay and the owner was helpful. - Small but perfectly formed. It is in a really great location and the outside space on the river is lovely. Nothing
- Sean (10/5): Lovely little cottage - Great location. Nice a quaint. Nothing
- Francesca (8/5): Good location, but bed and bedroom space not comfortable. - Beautiful location, lovely outdoor patio with river running by. Hi The bed was not good, very uncomfortable to small for two people. The place was full of fake air freshener played havoc with my asthma.
- Sarah (7/5): Beautiful property. - Location - set on the river in the centre of Canterbury.
Outside area - large patio/ decked area with furniture for relaxing on nice days.
Furnishings - well thought-out for a small annexe to a larger property Equipment in kitchen was limited, so it was difficult to cook from scratch.
Purchased Can-opener and grater and left in kitchen for future guests.
- Keith (10/5): A beautiful place to stay. - Superb location. Very well presented. Outstanding welcome.
- Alanna (8/5): Lovely - Lovely little stream at the end of the garden, the facilities were great.
- Jane (9/5): Superb -
- Mrs (8/5): Great little place for Canterbury short stay - Perfect location
Parking space
Lots of electrical sockets
Lovely shower, towels, toiletries if needed
Compact but cosy
Outside seating space if weather permits
River right at bottom of the garden
Key safe to pop keys in after checking out I guess for longer stays a washing machine & dishwasher are a bonus but personally I’d drop the dishwasher in order to put the fridge in the kitchen rather than the lounge area
A bit of a struggle to move table & chairs in order to use sofa bed
Worthwhile noting that bathroom is off of the bedroom so sofa bed guests need to pass through bedroom to get to bathroom in the night
- Harriss (10/5): Exceptional -
- Benjamin (9/5): Superb - The location was perfect & the cottage was exactly what we required for our stay in Canterbury.
- Mpalis (9/5): Perfect stay at a central location in Canterbury. - Central and excellent location near the river. Backyard available to spend some relaxing moments. The cottage has everything you need to spend a few days in Canterbury. Excellent and friendly host. Communication with the host was quick and perfect. Free Parking and Wifi
- Lindsey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adam (9/5): Great property, great location - Great location, less than 10 minutes walk and you are in the centre of everything and the accommodation is much nicer than being in a small hotel room.
- Mark (8/5): a lovely compact apartment - very clean and the host was incredibly helpful and polite.
the outside seating area is very tranquil it is very compact and there was no sheet for the sofa bad
- Anonymous (8/5): Would definitely recommend if you’re 2 people looking for a short stay in Canterbury - Host was very warm and welcoming. She was easy to reach out to and made sure we had everything we need.
The property was clean, well stocked up and enough for just 2 people for a short stay. It also had a cute garden which was a plus. Everything was great, but probably slightly overpriced.
- Kat_277 (10/5): Excellent stay - Very cosy cottage with outdoor patio next to the river. Great location close to the centre.
- Dean (10/5): Great accomodation - Great host, great facilities. Was very accommodating and I would stay at this property again without a doubt N/A
