- Allison (7/5): Cosy rustic cottage in lovely location - The cottage is in a lovely quiet peacful village location with beautiful walks on the doorstep,it is easy to find and get to and from anywhere on the Island. Lounge was cozy and comfortable. Lovely to meet Jon the owner on our first evening who was very welcoming. Kitchen fairly well equipped. Secure garden for the dog, with a lovely shaded seating area on the patio. Overall we had a lovely week here. Mattress on the bed in the front bedroom quite uncomfortable and could do with being upgraded or a mattress topper added as the springs could be felt. In an area with such poor and patchy mobile signal, wifi would be a significant improvement. Bathroom maybe a little tired, but is functional. Owner is very clear about the staircase typical of this type of cottage,we managed fine but anyone less able should be aware that it is particularly difficult.
