Guest Reviews
- Ricardo (3/5): Poor - Not applicable Don't make the mistake we made and don't book this place. The owners are unreasonable. Here's what happened to us: It's a house that's remotely located, several miles and 30 minutes away from the nearest town (Santa Elena) along a very dark and difficult dirt road. We had a 4x4 utility vehicle and even with that it was difficult to get to the place because of all the bumps, at night, and under heavy rain. We were greeted by the owner and spent the first night there out of four nights booked. The second day the eletricity went off at 3 PM. There was electricity in the town of Santa Elena. I informed the owners of the power cutoff. They suggested that we wait. We waited until past 6 PM, when it was already dark and the power wasn't back. Since I had to work with my PC and I must use an electric CPAP machine to sleep I wrote to the owner and told him we would have to leave. We booked a room in a hotel in Santa Elena and left. Yet, the owner refused to return any of our prepaid money for the four nights, arguing that unforseen problems, such as high winds and a fallen tree, were not his responsibility. Naturally, this implied that we had to face the full cost of this situation. Shame on Mr. Eduardo Venegas, the owner.
