• Matthieu (9/5): A comfortable, clean apartment with a great location -- but it might not be easy to get the key - A comfortable, very clean apartment with all the amenities -- including typical Japanese ones like a heated shower area that you can seal off and use to dry your laundry, and, of course, a Japanese toilet. The washing machine in the apartment was incredibly useful, especially after a day in Nara, where we had a bit of deer drool on our clothes from the otherwise adorable deer (they really go crazy for deer crackers!). The air conditioning worked perfectly. The apartment was quiet, despite being very close to an elevated train line. The location was excellent, close to Osaka/Umeda Station (practical for day trips) as well as a smaller Metro station on the Midosuji Line (practical for getting around Osaka). The neighborhood was residential and peaceful, but in just 10 minutes' walk, you were in the hustle and bustle of Umeda. Just outside the apartment, there was a grocery store and a convenience store right on the corner, making it very easy to get toiletries and of course snacks and delicious food! We would definitely stay here again! There were three things we didn't like about this property, and one could have been a dealbreaker. A small disadvantage to this apartment is that the separation between the bedroom and living area is just a sliding glass door, so privacy as well as not getting light in your face if someone is awake at night and another is asleep, is an issue. This is especially challenging if you're traveling with kids who might go to bed and get up earlier than the adults. Another small thing is that there weren't many places to hang up clothes or store toiletries beside the sink in the bathroom. Luckily, we brought a travel clothesline with us, and there was a small drying rack in the room that could be used for socks or underwear. It would have been helpful to have a garbage as well as a small table or shelf in the bathroom. But the BIG disadvantage for us was getting the key, and based on some other reviews, we're not the only ones who had a problem with this. We arrived at the apartment after nearly 24 hours of travel and had to figure out opening a mailbox and then a lockbox for the key. Once that was accomplished, though...there was no key in the lockbox. We called the emergency contact number the owner gave us several times, but no one answered. We were finally able to reach the owner via Booking.com's messaging service, but they had no idea what to do about the missing key. Luckily, we had noticed there was a spare key lockbox in the mailbox. The owner gave us the code for that and we used that key instead. It was very, very upsetting and frustrating. We've stayed at rental properties with key lockboxes before, and owners were always reachable by phone if necessary, although we've never had a problem like this before. The owner should seriously reconsider their method of key storage and delivery, and above all be reachable and have someone nearby in case of emergencies.

• Roberto (1/5): Katastrophe, nie wieder. - Zug war gut zu erreichen. Katastrophe. War schon in hunderten Unterkünften aber meine erste schlechte Bewertung. Hat uns 3,5 Stunden vor der Unterkunft warten lassen. Erst versucht Geld zu erpressen um wie angemeldet einzuchecken, als wir schon vor der Tür standen. Dann uns mehrmals den falschen code für den Schlüssel Kasten geschickt. Standen fast bis 18 uhr vor der Tür. Obwohl der normale Check in um 16 uhr war. Haben eine Bootstour und Dinner Reservierung verpasst. Meine Mutter zum weinen gebracht. Wohnung war fast wie neu aber nicht gewischt. Dreckiges Geschirr. Blutflecken im Bett und Toilette. Scham Haare in Bad und Waschbecken. Flecken auf den Kissen. Ich musste erst 2 Stunden das nötigste putzen. Es wurde vermutlich nur Staub gesaugt. Aber nicht gewischt. Ich hab nur einmal über den öligen und fleckigen Küchentisch gewischt und es ging weg. Also hat es vermutlich niemand überhaupt probiert. Bei der Kommunikation erstmal die Schuld auf das Reinigungsteam geschoben anstatt Verantwortung zu übernehmen. Dabei selber die falschen codes geschickt. Keinerlei Service Bewusstsein. Nur hohle Standart Texte ohne Probleme zu lösen. Waren nicht die einzigen mit problemen. Hab dann noch einem Paar aus Amerika geholfen, ihre Schlüssel aus dem Postkasten und der Schlüssel box zu bekommen. Nebenbei waren aber auch andere Briefkästen mit Schlüssel kasten von anderen Wohnungen einfach offen. Und moch mehr. Absolut kein Vertrauen mehr in Bezug auf Hygiene, Sicherheit und Menschlichkeit.

In all fairness to the host they recleaned the apartment when I asked them after I checked in. But even after that, the dust is still everywhere. I was vacuuming everyday (atleast they have a vacuum for cleaning). I don’t know if it’s the location (close to train station) or poor ventilation that’s causing so much dust. They also lack the supplies mostly offered on Airbnb like slippers, robes, coffee etc.

Had a couple bad experien - Huge apartment that easily accommodated our family of 6 (2 adults and 4 children). Very modern, secure place, with multiple bonus additions like a washer, gas stove top, full fridge, washer, 3 separate air conditioning/heating units, dining table, basic dishes, etc. Garbage and recycling was laid out and labeled into separate bins making it fool proof. Would definitely come back again. Not much to dislike here. Only negatives would be lack of parking, and no dryer if using the washing machine. Multiple cheap parking options located around though, within a couple minutes walk.

Keuken aanwezig, ruime tafel, wandelafstand van meerdere metrostations (lijnen). En de kamer, appartement was er niets van lawaai te horen, tot rut komen met veel daglicht, zeer grote ramen. Het ontvangst was met instructies, de code klopte niet, dit was een puzzel. Een koppel dat 20' voor ons arriveerden hebben ons trachten te helpen, super veel dank aan deze mensen uit Tokio! Dus het begin was in mineur, alles wat nadien volgde was echter picobello in orde! Waarvoor dank.

• Xiaoyan (9/5): Overall it is good value of the money and good to stay. - The property is in a well maintained building with secure access. It is very quiet and neat in the busy area. We are only provided 2 sachets of laundry detergent during the stay, so has to limit our washes. The cutlery are all plastic, if it can be upgraded to glassed, that will feel much better.
