• mathieu (9/5): Très bon séjour dans cette petite maison - La maison est très confortable et très bien équipée pour un séjour dans le Connemara. On a peu vu les hôtes, mais ils étaient très réactifs et disponibles quand nous avions des demandes. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans cet hébergement.

• Christiane (9/5): Feel Home - On arrival there was a few chicks welcoming us, we easily went into the chalet and felt welcome! The kitchen and the living room had all it needed to cook and dine, although there are lovely places to eat close-by as well. We had some troubles with the shower and the host helped us solving our problem instantly. We did regret that we had booked it just for 2 nights as there's plenty of things to visit close-by. It would be great if some reading lights would be available in both bedrooms.
• Jordan (6/5): Decent location, however, the place should be better maintained and repaired given the nightly rate. Certainly not the b - The check-in was seamless and the property was located close to Oughterard, which was a convenient base for exploring Connaught/Connemara. The place could’ve have used a deeper cleaning and the sliding door to the main bedroom’s bathroom was off the track and thus unable to be closed. This made it quite uncomfortable, in a sense, and my senior mother tweaked her shoulder while simply trying to close the bathroom door for some privacy. Some of the bedding and the furniture would benefit from a more intensive cleaning. The lighting in the bathrooms could be improved. Lastly, an instruction manual on how to use the oven’s various settings would be appreciated by future guests, I imagine.
• Lara (10/5): Parfait séjour dans le Connemara - Merci pour ce très bon séjour chez vous. Nous nous sommes sentis comme à la maison, tout était parfait. Très bien situé pour visiter le Connemara. Notre fils a apprécié jouer avec votre fille, dommage que nous soyons restés que 2 nuits. Encore merci pour les œufs et le paquet de chips, c'était de délicates attentions.
• LÁSZLÓ (10/5): Nagyon kellemes! - Rendkívül kényelmes és barátságos. Mindennel felszerelt! Közel a természet! Közvetlen a főút mentén, nincs járda.
• Gabrielle (10/5): - The chalet was a perfect base to explore Connemara. It was private and comfortable and had all the facilities we needed for our two-night stay. It exceeded our expectations.
• Roberto (7/5): Normal - La tranquilidad del lugar , la casa correcta Está bastante apartado, la nevera sucia, el horno te dicen que después de utilizar lo limpies pero estaba lleno de grasa.
• Anne-Janine (8/5): fijne stop dicht bij Galway - We vonden het huisje een fijne plek, je bent op het terrein van de mensen maar toch heb je privacy. De kippen vonden we erg leuk! De uitklapbare stoelen en bank vonden we heel relaxed! De wc zou nadat we vertrokken gemaakt worden maar daardoor stonk het af en toe heel erg naar riool. We hebben daardoor deze wc niet meer kunnen gebruiken en moesten bij onze zoon op de kamer naar het toilet
• Sofia (10/5): Super carino e pulito, lo consiglio! - Bellissimo cahlet indipendente situato proprio dietro la casa dell'host, accogliente proprio come in foto . Ci sono 2 camere e 2 bagni, una cucina attrezzata e tutto pulitissimo. Ci abbiamo solo messo un attimo a capire come accendere la luce in bagno. A due passi da Oughterard dove c'è un buonissimo pub che ci siamo andati due sere e a 20 minuti circa da Galwey. Lo consiglio! Nulla

• Mitja (9/5): Very good place to stay close to Galway and Connemara national park. - A very nice gesture from the host, as he left us a welcome gift in the apartment in the form of homemade eggs, chips and cookies. Also apartment was very clean, garden around nice with few hens. Helpfull host, when we have some problems with shower.
• Frank (7/5): - Moderne geräumige Ferienwohnung in einem Bungalow etwas abseits der Hauptstraße, dennoch sehr ruhig. Parkplätze direkt am Haus. Die beiden Bäder sind veraltet und müssten erneuert werden. Schwacher Wasserdruck bei der Toilettenspülung. Dusche muss durch Ziehen einer Schnur, die sich an einem Schalter befindet, aktiviert werden. Schade, denn sonst war alles okay.

• Judy (8/5): Great cottage 20 mins from Galway - Cozy, little 2 bedroom 2 bathroom chalet with very comfortable beds. The kitchen was well stocked. It has a washing machine and dryer in the unit. The unit has lots of windows. The owners left fresh eggs and a bag of crisps and some chocolate. The 3 chicken on the property were cute. We could not get the black heater behind the couch to turn on and the master bathroom needs to replace the broken base of the toilet as it is leaking.
• Beate (10/5): Lovely place to explore Galway/Connemara - We throughly enjoyed our stay! It is perfect for 3 people, its location perfect for trips to Galway and the countryside. Close to the main road and yet very quiet! The landlord is very friendly and helpful. Thanks, Joslyn, for the fresh eggs from your inquisitive chickens ;). Next time we come to your part of the country, we can hopefully stay with you again. Thanks again! —-

• Grudka (10/5): Good location near Galway and Cenemara - Good location to explore Cenemara by car, there were a small village with restaurants, supermarkets, everything you need. Galway City was 30 min by car, which was also handy to visit. The free-range eggs were great, and the apple pie and cookie on the first day were delicious. The chickens were also around, which was also fun for our son to interact. I think they can improve the front door to avoid wind to go inside, we got one day really windy, and I could feel the cold breeze coming inside.

It was lovely having the chickens visit in the morning too. We really enjoyed our stay at Sweethaven Chalet. We were in Galway with work but we were able to relax and switch off in this little haven! Thanks so much for facilitating such a comfortable stay.
• Butler (10/5): Location, location, location. Gateway to Connemara or Mayo and beyond or the City. - Host left everything needed to have a great feed, eggs, bread, jam, tea and milk. This was great to arrive to. Only because I am a yank, the heat is separate for each room. I made sure I did a full sweep each time I left that I turned off any I might have turned on. There were a few mornings that were chilly. The heat worked wonderfully and warmed up fast. I did like the note on the front door with the reminder to turn off the heat before leaving. It is easy to forget so I appreciated that that.

• Scott (10/5): A home away from home! - A home away from home! Had everything we needed, including a well stocked pantry, some little chocolates, and iced bun treats! We were driving around Ireland, and the chalet had a much needed washer and dryer.
• Jakub (10/5): Sweethaven Chalet is the perfect stay for short and long visits to Conamara - Arriving late to the property was not a problem. The house was very clean and well aired upon arrival. The hosts left a list of house information and contact numbers to the themselves and local facilities like doctor and taxi. Leaflets and brochures of tourist attractions in the area were available for us to browse in the living room. Fresh, free range eggs were left for us and the chickens were very friendly. The host was very friendly and helpful. We are definitely considering returning for our next holiday.

• James (10/5): Exceptional - I had a few nights' stay in this cottage while exploring Galway and the Connemara area. It was really convenient for both. The cottage is at the back of another property but was quiet, and it was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The supermarket and town (Oughterard) is 1km up the road so easy to get to. Fresh eggs, chocolates and a pastry were nice extras. Thank you! Nothing.
• Lorraine (10/5): I needed a quiet space to rest for four days, this was perfect with a sunrise 🌅 - The hosts left a fresh croissant, brown bread, and 6 organic eggs (best I’ve ever tasted). The place was warm on arrival which was so welcoming 🙏 My stay was perfect for the four days I stayed, the host even provided me with a clothes brush 🫶

Spotlessly clean, warm, snug, ideally located a few mins from Oughterard a nd the hosts were so accommodating. Fresh eggs left for breakfast, cinnamon rolls, a stocked kitchen with cooking oil and tea, it was ideal. Everything you need for a quiet weekend break. We hope to return ASAP!
