Guest Reviews
- Patricia (9/5): Spacious cosy home with quirky touches. - Location and cozy atmosphere of the property. Fully equipped kitchen Steep staircase with narrow tread.
- Davidson (9/5): - A delightful bungalow in an amazing place. Very spacious place and comfortable beds. Lots of lovely places in Bicheno beautiful scenery Nothing
- Marinda (10/5): It just worked for us. - Very clean and spacious. Nothing
- Learmonth (9/5): Great features but we expected that given the price we had to pay. - We harvested some of the ripe fruit - a bonus.
Well appointed with what travellers need and expect. Properties with internal stairs should state this in their property details online.
- Charles (9/5): - Great location
- David (10/5): -
- Zoe (9/5): - Prime location and very comfortable
- Thomas (8/5): Great beach house in Bicheno - Great place to stay in Bich! Walk to everything, really comfortable house (great bed!), totally equipped kitchen (so rare these days), quiet location (right in the town but in a quiet residential street), parking, spotlessly clean.
- Loretta (6/5): Good location. Cosy house. Some minor improvements would make it better. Pretty expensive for what it was - Super comfy beds and couch! Cosy. Shower was tiny but had good water pressure
No pantry so our week’s food just had to sit on the bench. Fridge was quite small for a long stay (4 nights)
- Bruyere (8/5): Tres bien - Spacieux et bien equipé
- Joanne (8/5): -
- Craig (8/5): -
- Rachel (8/5): - The house is in a good location, is well equiped and comfortable and cozy. The house had good heating. There was a Ring camera overlooking the front porch/BBQ area. This made us feel uncomfortable so didnt use this area. Cameras should be disclosed and the advertisement for this property specifically stated that there are no outdoor cameraa.

- Felix (10/5): Was amazing!!! Everything was very cozy and clean - perfect to unwind after a busy day in the sea / mountains - Lovely little property just 5 mins from the Main Street!!! We were so impressed by the layout and how cozy everything was - we really loved our stay here None
- Tanya (10/5): - Clean, comfy & cozy.. Had all the comforts of home.. Great location.. Loved our stay at Barefoot Bungalow..
- glen (9/5): - The unit had everything we needed Nothing
- Susan (10/5): Our favourite in Bicheno - A lovely cosy home. The heat pump warmed up the house very quickly. Nice quiet location with easy walk into township. Nice comfy beds. Very clean. Good kitchen with lots of good quality crockery, cutlery etc. Great deck. Probably our favourite out of all the accommodation we have stayed in in Bicheno over the years.
- Trevor (8/5): -
- Adithya (10/5): -
- Lorraine (9/5): No surprises. The location was perfect for exploring the area. Plus in walking distance to everything you needed. - The description was exactly as described. The location was perfect for shops, cafes and the fairy penguins. Beds weee comfy and shower was great. Good value for money. The new concrete path to the new deck could do with a light or a handrail to avoid a fall.
A new shower curtain.
- Paul (10/5): Gorgeous Bungalow very cozy prefect location to everything - Absolutely lovely bungalow, amazing location the bungalow had everything you could possibly need
Had the most wonderful stay here and would definitely stay again in the future.
Do yourself a favour if you are looking to stay in Bicheno stay here!!! Nothing everything was prefect
- Kirsty (10/5): Absolutely Amazing & comfortable stay - Very cute and comfortable place. Nothing
- Loreene Woodward (7/5): Nice , but at little more attention to cleanliness of our top sheet on top of bed in bed room close - Location great The wifi and guest booklet was under the games in the book shelf which we couldn’t fine till the next day , would have been helpful to have had the book on the counter or table
- Savannah (9/5): -
- Genevieve (9/5): - The house has a great feel to it and the beds were so comfortable. Great location, easy walk to the shops and the beach. We just had one small hiccup with the internet password, but it was sorted out with the help of the owner.
- L (10/5): Beautiful views in comfort 😊 - Cosy, comfortable, beautiful home!
My family enjoyed viewing the beautiful birds and scenery Bicheno has to offer from the lovely deck.
Property had everything a family needs and I adore the wooden cabin wilderness vibes!
We hope to stay again next time.
- Donna (9/5): -
- Joe (8/5): Very good -
- Deborah (8/5): A great stay thank you - Close proximity to town, I didn’t need to use the car. The stairs were steep but didn’t pose a problem for me.
- Anita (8/5): Nice place for a few nights stay. - The property was cozy with a nice view. Stairs where quiet steep. Decor was a bit eclectic
- Elizabeth (10/5): Excellent stay … would definitely return next time in the area. Thank you! - Location was perfect and we LOVED the upstairs area! Great bbq and super comfy beds! BRILLIANT shower! Would highly recommend! Loved the coffee machine but we went to supermarket to get LOR coffee pods instead of the pods provided.
- Judy (9/5): A great location to explore Freycinet National Park. - Very comfy beds and warm spacious living area. We’ll equipped kitchen. We managed the stairs with care - it would be helpful for general information to include the fact that the stairs are steep with a narrow width tread. No tea supplied was a surprise.
- Paul (6/5): Pleasant - Location Property is a little run down and needs facelift
Gardens not attended and lots of rotting fruit on trees
Bathroom too small to cater to a possible 6 people that could use the property
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robyn (6/5): Sweet little cottage - Dine/ kitchen area. The dreadful hidden ant nest at the clothes line. Got bitten and ended up seeking advice at the local pharmacy. I understand they are called jumping jacks ants. Potentially dangerous for children/animals
- Hellen (9/5): Superb -
- Evelyn (8/5): Clean and comfortable house for our short stay. - Close to town, clean and well equipped. Excellent information about the surrounding area. The stairs.
- Fabian (8/5): Very good - The coffee machine had a milk frothier😍 The second bedroom didn’t have bedside lamps.
- Suzi (9/5): Superb - The location was perfect, lovely spacious room upstairs to relax, dine and well equiped kitchen.
Three good size double bedrooms with comfy beds. Would definatly recommend if you want somewhere to stay if walking into Wine Glass Bay or the sights around Bicheno. The dining room table maybe needs a renovator on it as it was very sticky and the decking boards on the balcony could do with sprucing up
This is really only a minor crititism as the accommodation was lovely and set in a peaceful location
- Reeanna (9/5): Cute and cosy. - It was a really sweet bungalow. The living area was super cosy and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. The stairs are quite steep but manageable. I loved having a washer and dryer, it made staying for a week very easy.
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb - Lovely place which had everything we needed. Good quality appliances like washer and drier were a nice surprise. Nothing really. Some more pegs would be nice I guess but that's a very minor quibble!
- Christina (8/5): Very good -
- Kristina (8/5): A Relaxing Stay - Quiet street and neighbours. Comfortable beds.
- Bruce (8/5): Great and would highly recommend. - Loved the location and the cool features of the A-frame (deck, skylight). Nothing
- Patricia (8/5): Very enjoyable stay even with the qualifications above. - Location and views were lovely. Rooms were roomy with good storage. It was great being able to wash clothes and dry them in the sunshine. Stairs to top floor are very steep, and I found them difficult with arthritic knees. I didn't like the small shower with its large lip either.
- Maureen (8/5): Great accommodation for a group - It was nice and spacious The stairs were a bit tricky to navigate
- Ben (10/5): Cosy, comforting, warm & affordable - Location, the house was lovely
- Jessica (10/5): Great location. - Close proximity to where we needed to be. Beds were comfortable 😀
- Hanne (8/5): Nice upstairs, close to town but in need of maintenance. - The house had a nice layout upstairs and kitchen had everything we needed (including nice coffee). It was very easy to use the lockbox. Beds were comfortable. Yard looked very nice. The deck looked and felt structurally unsound and liable to collapse so we kept the sliding door locked. Be aware the stairs are steep and uneven at the bottom so tricky for the very young or very old.
- Simone (8/5): Nice stay - It was perfect for what we needed Stairs are abit tricky
- Visions182 (10/5): Exceptional - beautiful house in a great location, the firepot was great to sit around in the evening the yard was wonderful for the kids to explore.
- Sharna (10/5): Relaxing Cosy Beach Cottage - Cosy, pet friendly and great location Nothing, was an amazing stay
- Hannah (9/5): Perfect seaside cottage - Excellent place to stay with my family of four. The girls loves having their own bedroom and double bed. Very clean property. Lots of boardgames, smart TV to watch movies at night together. It had a lovely little verandah to sit in the afternoon sun and a good size upper deck with a BBQ and view of the mountains as well as 2 small views of the ocean. We also loved it was walking distance to town and bowls club only a few minutes up the rd for a meal. Great kitchen with lots of cooking gear. Heaters in every room. Lovely open plan living space 1st level and all bedrooms on ground floor along with the bathroom and laundry. Definitely recommended. Bicheno is such a beautiful little town and the water is pristine. Nothing. Was all excellent.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Dwannylyn (8/5): Very good -
- Mary-anne (10/5): Comfy, warm, good value, and inviting - Comfy beds- clean sheets
Warm
Kitchen was well appointed
Upstairs was a sun trap- snug and great place to relax
Not a brand new place- made it feel comfy and homely It would be great to have more towel hanging options in bedrooms/bathroom.
The lamps in the front room had a leaf design that would be spikey for fragile skin.
- Anita (9/5): Comfortable. - My whole stay was enjoyable!
The sunny aspect of the kitchen and living areas. Plenty of heating, warm and cosy. The deck off the living room. Quiet neighbourhood. Safe to let the dog roam in the secure yard. Easy walks to beach, shops and The Blowhole. Nothing I didn't like.
The staircase will be difficult for some.
- Janine (10/5): A beautiful affordable home that has everything you need for your stay. - It was a great location, very comfortable & had everything we needed for our stay If I was being extremely picky, it would be the stairs are a little tricky
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - well equipped kitchen, comfy couches and bedding. Coffee pods were a nice touch. Nice garden. Loved everything. Good books and games. Appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella. Nothing that stands out.
- Phuong (8/5): Very good -
- Laura (9/5): Lovely little cottage for a beach break - Easy walk to ships beach, cute stylings, kitchen has the little extras helpful on a holiday
- Maggie (8/5): Very good -
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional - Very cute place and set up well for groups
- Joanne (9/5): Superb -
- Anne (10/5): Home away from home - It was close to everything we needed. Nothing.
- Nicola (8/5): Very good -
- Dee (10/5): Exceptional - Five minutes after arriving at Barefoot Bungalow we were relaxing and right at home. The home was beautifully decorated with quality homewares.
The living area was well thought out. Everyone had a comfy spot on the sofa.
The throw rugs kept us warm while we enjoyed the sunset on the deck. The stairs were a little steep for our elderly family members.
- Anne (1/5): Bad - Cannot comment on Barefoot Bungalow -
did not stay here as it was double booked Accommodation mix up
- Ashleigh (10/5): Great property in a lovely location. Contained everything we needed. Clean and comfortable -
- Linda (9/5): Superb -
- Steven (9/5): Superb -
- Sauk (9/5): Superb - Very good location. Nice property Could be better job on deeper cleaning.
- Melanie (9/5): Excellent location and perfect for families. - Great location - walking distance to everything in Bicheno. Comfortable size for our family of 4 - like a home away from home. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was very clean with good quality toiletries supplied. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. We also loved having the washer and dryer to get ontop of our washing after travelling for a bit! Perhaps having a guest account for Netflix on the TV and a more secure connection for wifi.
- William (2/5): Very poor - The stairs bathroom toilet backyard front yard
- Graeme (8/5): Very good -
- Nikki (8/5): Very good -
- Westwood (9/5): Superb - It was absolutely awesome thank you for the opportunity to stay here All good
- Gai (7/5): Very pleasant location, homely & value -
- Laura (9/5): Cute comfortable family stay not far from town and Waubs Bay - Very clean nice sheets and towels. Everything you’d need plus a few basic kitchen items. Nothing really.
- Sling (9/5): Wonderful, family and dog friendly place to stay in. - Location was great. Easy access to the beach, supermarket and cafes. Place was well kept, with ample kitchen utensils, games for the kids and comfortable beds and pillows. Bonus that it’s pet friendly too. Nothing really. If I had to comment, the gate needs improved fencing to cater to small escapee dogs.
- Karen (9/5): Superb -

- Bruno (8/5): Very good -
- Sharne (7/5): very comfortable and relaxing. - The location and the bored games provided. The thought put into providing everyday essentials and the cleanliness of the home/bedding. Additional toilet was locked even though advertised as available. Stairs were steep and not suitable for a toddler.
