• Florian (9/5): Persönlich gestaltetes Apartment mit traumhaften Blick in die Ferne (bis nach Korsika) - Äußerst sympathische Gastgeber, die hier ein sehr individuelles und liebevoll gestaltetes Apartment anbieten. Traumhafter Blick nach Süden von der Terrasse aus. Kostenloser, privater Parkplatz direkt an der Unterkunft. Insgesamt gute Ausstattung und charmante Einrichtung. Die Unterkunft wirkt auf den Bildern etwas größer als gedacht, da einige Bereiche privat (also nicht zugänglich) sind. Auch sind einzelne Einrichtungsgegenstände (wie Schränke) nur teilweise nutzbar, da verschlossen. Man merkt, dass hier Menschen selbst gelebt haben bzw. zeitweise noch selbst leben (was positive, aber eben auch wenige negative Seiten hat). Der Weg in den Ortskern von Volterra ist - vor allem mit Kindern - etwas gefährlich, da teilweise auf der engen und viel befahrenen Landstraße gelaufen werden muss. Eine Alternative gibt es zu Fuß nicht.
• Heather (9/5): Cute and homely little house on the hill of Volterra, with stunning views all the way to the sea! - We loved this little house on the hill of Volterra! The views were absolutely spectacular and it was lovely to be able to sit outside on the verandah, or in the folding chairs provided so that we could relax in the little olive grove. The host Claudio met us on arrival. He was an excellent host, not only meeting us for check-in but also regularly communicating with us via WhatsApp, even letting us know about events that were happening on the Easter weekend in Volterra :) The bed was very comfy and the shower was also really good. We loved the artisan herbal soaps that we were provided with :) We were very sad to leave this little house that really felt like home for the 8 nights that we were there. The sofa bed wasn't very comfy to sit on and relax in the evening.

• Mathew (10/5): Romantic Space with a Kind Host - Claudio was very nice in helping us get settled in. I really liked the view and the privacy. The garden is very beautiful. Short drive up to the city. Fully stocked kitchen. Comfortable living space. This is entirely personal, but I am not a fan of the modern kitchen space. I felt it clashed with the coziness of the rest of the property. Good array of kitchen tools though!

Gloria and Claudio are great hosts and very informative, they have great knowledge of the area and things to see and do. This is our second year staying here and can’t wait to go back next year. • Artur (10/5): Exceptional - Place with own soul. Host has provided us with a lot of helpful information, adjusted to our preferences. House is located on the hill with small olive garden and wit beautiful panorama. For sure we will visit this place again!!
• Stephen (9/5): If you haven't yet visited Volterra - put it on your list! - Claudio is an excellent host, gave us a very warm welcome, explained in detail all of the attributes of the property, helped us with detailed information about Volterra and additional attractions to visit. We chose this property mainly for the following reasons - waking distance into Volterra 20 mins (steeply uphill), the covered outdoor balcony to dine on watching the sunset and magnificent view, the garden to sit in under the small number of olive trees plus the benefit of parking at the property. Our visit was for six nights at the end of October and early November. Low level of mosquito activity overnight, our own fault for not being properly prepared.
• Alexander (10/5): Perfect! Can’t wait to go back. - The location was stunning with beautiful views and walking distance to the centre of Volterra. Claudio the host was very knowledgeable about the area and was very helpful during our visit. Will certainly be back to Podere Casallorto in the near future. I would highly recommend this property to those wanting to experience the beauty of Tuscany. N/A
• Alex (10/5): Amazing view villa. Best holodays in Tuscan region. - We’re very grateful for warm hospitality. The house was clean, tidy and good equipped with everything one could need. The highlight of the house is a view. One of the best we’ve ever seen. We were enjoying Toscana landscape view from terrace while dinner. Around house you could also enjoy Olive Garden. Also if you want to visit concert of Andrea Bocelli, its just abiut 20 minutes from the house. We hope to visit this place again one day. Thank you very much. All was good
• Gerald (9/5): Superb - The house is in a nice area with a fantastic view from the terrace. We got extra sunbeds! Volterra is only 20 min walking distance away and there was a lovely bottle of bubbly in the fridge :-D We were eaten by mosquitos and realised, that the view when you are sitting inside is a bit limited. The place has the atmosphere of a private home like you would expect from an Airbnb accomodation.
