- Ghanekar (8/5): Excellent rooms - Rooms, bed , cleanliness No tv, no intercom, no slippers
- Manav (10/5): A comfortable and enjoyable stay in a beautiful and well-located area - The location is quite strategic, considering the city is relatively small. we could walk easily anywhere to everywhere. Didi and Saksham were also very helpful. The windows were not so strong, so the outside noise is quite audible. Curtains were also not thick either in the room, but if you use mask, can work well.
- Sam (9/5): - The rooms were very very comfortable and clean. The location was very near to the western temples and right near the city centre. Its very peaceful, though on the main road. The geyser hot water , could have been more instant.
- Nicolette (9/5): - The locations, the staff and the cost The rooms are a little more basic that we expected but they are clean and comfortable.
- maria (7/5): - Locatie Erg eenvoudig. Geen info.
- Sujit (9/5): - Location near to most sights. Lunch was very good.
- kunal (8/5): Khajuraho The civilization flows through people history and architecture - pleasant modest airy green undisturbing close by place of attractions and services.New hotel very transparent and guides the best use of customer's money restaurant not working.sometimes reception not manned.May b it makes sense to them whe it reaches an optimum size
- Jitender (5/5): 2 - Location AC is not working properly,my family is very disturbed
- Sjoerd (10/5): Excellent Stay - very friendly kind helpful owner and girlfriend

- Mercedes (10/5): Relaxed stay - Familiar environment, nice garden, delicious meals at the restaurant. I had a great time at Ravi’s place. Thanks.
- B.karmakar (10/5): Exceptional - Resturant Built/Structure made up of Bamboos and glass finsh . Hut/Village type look but interior was full modern facilities. Chair styles Table and over all look was very nice. All was ok.
- Livia (10/5): A cozy and comfortable stay that feels like home - Aarambh Residency is a truly heartfelt hotel that will make you feel right at home. It is a sustainable community project that promotes conscientious tourism, so it attracts a beautiful community of people that turns strangers into friends. It has a great ethos and a special energy! The hotel itself is also very comfortable: the rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the beds are soft and the restaurant serves great vegetarian cuisine of all kinds (Indian and international).
- Sasikumar (6/5): Pleasant - Foods are experience
- Paulina (8/5): Definitely recommend it - It’s a safe place for solo female travelers, managed by people who care. It’s cleaner than many other hotels (I’ve seen a lot in India), there was always hot water. It’s on the main road, so no silence ever. Since, it’s a very touristy place, local authorities should make it a quiet zone (one can dream).
- Letizia (10/5): Exceptional - The position of the hotel. A cut garden.
- Mila (10/5): Exceptional - Smiley and helpful staff, good location in the middle of Western and Eastern Temples, everything is close. Very clean rooms with balconies. Very good breakfast. Calm garden. Warmly recommended!
- Paresh (9/5): Exceeding my expectations - Courteous Staff, Good Location, Comfortable room, Tasty food Toiletries
- Peter (9/5): Perfect location to explore the area - Responsive host, clean and spacious room, great breakfast, help with local transport, peaceful inner courtyard, walking distance from most tourist sights. Overall a great value. Other than some smaller easy fixes, not much to mention
- Zeljko (10/5): Exceptional - Manager with his staff made everything just perfect. He organised a transfer to and from hotel to train station. He booked temple ticket, organised trip to the waterfall, bycycle rent and so many other things. Room was clean and spacious. Vegetarian restaurant serving good breakfast and also al a carte lunch and dinner. Staff was such friendly and helpful. Even dog on the reception made friends with me and was not happy to see me leaving. It was like stay with family. Realy homestay. I wish I could stay longer.
- Vivek (5/5): Passable -
- Pier-laurence (10/5): Perfect experience 😃 - Everything was neat and the whole staff was very nice and helpful. Our family loved it, we wish we could have stayed longer 🙏🏻 Nothing: it s just great
- Veena (9/5): Very good in every aspect - The location to the temples , museums etc
The staff were very friendly, helpful always available. It’s not the property, but the fact that we were grossly over charged for the Panna Tiger Reserve Safari if we had organised it ourselves it would have cost a lot less.
- Maya (8/5): Very good -
- Beatrice (10/5): Exceptional - Rooms were clean and renewed.
Very good breakfast in a beautifully garden.
Our hosts were friendly, sincere and very generous.
We enjoyed very much the stay in this hotel.
- Grace (8/5): Very good - Clean and comfortable room and a good location. Staff were friendly and helpful, helped us to book the monuments as they didn’t accept foreign cards. The restaurant was being built when we were there but looks like it’ll be a nice space to hang out. Would recommend!
- Jana (10/5): Exceptional - This hotel was love on first sight ❤️. So clean it wasn't in any facility in our nearly 3 months stay in India (also in much more expensive hotels than this one). We already learned we can't expect our standard here, but this blowned my mind. Staff was friendly, nice and helpful with everything. I asked them myself because they wouldn't bother me (which i personally like much more), gave me great tips and helped with temple and train tickets. We originally planed to stay only for 2 nights but we prolonged it because we simply loved it there. Hotel serves tasty also "western style" breakfast. Strongly recommend!
- Mukharaiya (7/5): it was over all an excellent journey. - it was great. the staff made varieties of tasty breakfast. hot and yummy. i guess lack of staff or man power.
- Patricia (10/5): Great budget hotel - Excellent location within walking distance of the main tourist attractions. An excellent budget hotel with very friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are very clean and comfortable.
- Indrani (9/5): I loved it - I liked everything Staff was really friendly Little maintenance and a telephone in room required to contact reception
- Jeremy (8/5): A great base for exploring Khajuraho and great value for money - Fantastic value for money, friendly staff and great location Maybe improve on the little things
- Patil (8/5): Very good -
- Shekhar (4/5): Disappointing - Food prepared for BF and Dinner was excellent. Very tasty but probably the result of one sole cook - nothing about the property as such. This property is still under development and not really ready to accept guests. There is no dining area, one had to sit out in the open in a make shift arrangement. Rooms were small and directly on the road. No views on the garden side as well.
- Sushovan (8/5): Very good -
- Dr (9/5): Make available hot water in winter. - Hot water facility was not there.
- Raju (8/5): Nice little lethargic place for a brief stint in Khajuraho suitable for travellers with pets. - The hotel staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. The location of the hotel is at the heart of the Khajuraho city and it is very convenient to reach both the western and the eastern group of temples, the archeological museum, and the Aadivart folk museum from its location. The hotel also allowed us to stay for 2 more hours after the check-out time as we were with our cat. The size of the hotel room was too tiny to make your 3-night stay cozier Also the room service is delayed due to lack of workers, sometimes you have to wait almost half an hour for your morning tea to arrive at your room.
- Kristien (9/5): Superb - I've had a good time at Aarambh Residency. The staff is great, speak English well and they are very supportive and helpful. The location is great as well, walking distance to some nice restaurants and the temples.
- Mikalai (8/5): Very good -
- Marek (10/5): Very good - I liked the location, just middle between eastern and western group. They stored our bags, chill courtyard, owner who could arrange transport, guide for fair price and is nice in general. The room was clean, prepared, no mosquitos. I could use hanger for mosquito net, above bed, but that's minor setback.
- Sneha (10/5): A small and excellent hotel that is starting up but they make sure to look after each and every guest and treat them lik - The staff and owner were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had the best time in Khajuraho. Ravi and Lisa are a great team and ensured that our city and tiger reserve tours were done properly and safely. It was also lovely to sit down with them in the evenings and just chat over tea and coffee. Ravi also went out of his way and made us dinner one night and it was absolutely delicious.
- Uwe (9/5): Perfect place to stay in Khajuraho. - I do recommend staying at Aarambh Redidency. My Deluxe Superior Room was spacious and clean. It is a simple middle class hotel which offers all you need for your stay. Worth to mention: The whole team is just great. Thanks again to all of you, I did enjoy my two nights there. I felt very much welcome by all of you!
If possible, you should eat at the family of the owner. The food was super delicious.
Wifi worked without problems. There is also a nice quiet garden to relax. Rooms are facing the street and the inner garden side. So it can get a bit noisy from the street side. But nothing compared to big cities like Delhi or Agra. Didn’t bother me bit some might feel disturbed.
- Kathrin (9/5): Superb - It's a very nice place to stay. The hotel is clean, hot water is available and most important for me as a female traveler by themself a safe accommodation.
The staff is quite attentive and kind.
A particular highlight has been the homemade lunch. So delicious and a authentic experience.
Highly recommended.
- Maya (8/5): Very good -
- Y (7/5): Overall a good place - Cleanliness Intercom required to communicate with reception
- Hitesh (10/5): Very pleasant stay and very helpful and attentive staff - Good walkable location, clean room, exceptionally helpful staff No TV in room
- Sue (10/5): Quick overnight stay. - Great bathroom and comfy bed. Super friendly and helpful staff. Walk to western temples. Nothing
- Aparna (5/5): Passable - It's nice apartment but missing cleanliness in toilet and gyser which required time for heating. Geyser and little bit view from balcony because can't keep curtains open since many shops can view of the flat from the roadside.
- Singh (8/5): Overall very good and value for money stay, just the staff is not as professional as one would expect - The rooms and the beds as well as the blankets were neat and clean with good AC. The washroom was also clean. The rooms have attached common balcony. Some parts of the property is still under construction however it does not bother at all, since it was in the backyard. There was a lizard in my room. I asked the staff twice to get it removed from the room as I feared it would fall on the bed in night. But they just falsely assured that they will get it done but no resolution. And as feared, moments after I put off the lights , the lizard fell on the side table ( it would have fallen on the bed too).
- Lavanya (10/5): Awesome - The place is simple and energetic located in the centre of Khajuraho, street facing balcony at backyard green garden which is still in construction! But I can imagine it's gonna be a great place
As the kitchen is also under construction but the food they served in the room was delicious and fresh
They organise taxi for me to go Varanasi and there staff is well disciplined
On demand they can organise a yoga fitness session which is interesting too .
There is alot which you can get when you are there amazing, wonderful 👍
- Sahu (10/5): A stay which is the best stay I travelled around india - A wonderful stay short but fantastic..
Aarambh residency located in a perfect location and the rooms are clean and environmental
And they served a well delicious breakfast and fresh organic dinner (it took a bit more)
So I highly recommend in Khajuraho.
The staff and people are nice helped us to visit and sightseeing
- Dasgupta (9/5): Superb -
- Devarupa (4/5): Khajuraho is a must visit, but there are better stays than this hotel - Except for the location of the hotel, there were not many things to like about the place. The room and the bathroom were moderately clean. Everything could have been better.
Firstly, this hotel claims a lot of facilities on Booking.com but they DO NOT provide most. A very confusing description of rooms is provided on the site, according to which we had applied for an AC room. But reaching there we learned that the room we booked does not have an AC facility (it showed Non-AC accomodation on their booking) which was opposite to what we booked here. So we had to pay to get an upgradation.
Then the toilet seat was broken, and even after repeatedly telling none came to fix it, neither they offered us a room change.
My friend got stuck in the room, as the door got jammed from inside. She repeatedly called the hotel staff and none replied or picked up the call. She was stuck for about an hour after which she went to the balcony and shouted for help from the passersby and labourers working downstairs to go to the reception and inform somebody to come and open the door from outside.
The breakfast we booked was complimentary with the room, however, the staff was unaware and we had to remind them. The food they served us was extremely substandard (the curd was stale the first day and it smelt). Moreover, we were supposed to get packaged drinking water with the room, which they didn't provide us. We had asked a Bisleri water on the first day, later which was not billed. The staff informed us at the time we were leaving that was complimentary with the stay which they didn't even bother to give us. We were only provided with a single towel, whereas we had booked the room for 2.
The staff were extremely unprofessional. We had to repeatedly call for blankets and stuff.
Last, the hotel is still under construction. So the facilities that they claim on this site like Patio or outside seating area or swimming pool etc. were none to be found. There was a grassy backyard. It is really unfair and dishonest to claim facilities which cannot be found in the property in reality.
Overall it was extremely pricey.
- Vivienne (10/5): This property for the price has been the best property I have stayed in India so far - The rooms are spacious and clean. The air-conditioning works really well The bathroom is big and the water is hot. The balcony was a nice touch and they are in the process of constructing a garden at the back. There is a bank across the road where you can use international cards to withdraw money. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The tour guide I would recommended is Ranveer Singh as he is knowledgeable with regards to the area and has excellent spoken English . In addition he was really good fun to be around. He is contactable through this property. I enjoyed visiting the old part of the town on a tour and looking round the school, which was built to eradicate the inequalities of the Cast system .
- Lolo2 (10/5): Exceptional - As simple it looks from exterior, the entrance and the spacious area make you automatically feel free as the location is in the centre so being because you can have a feel of being in silence,
The rooms are extraordinary, nice, Hygienic, Clean Nd has a wonderful fragrance
On demand you can also ask for a delicious Breakfast, Lunch on dinner
From garden mostly you will get fresh vegetables, Apart cooked freshed so I highly recommend if you wish to make your trip the best with Food and stay
You can ask them they can provide you wonderful tour in and around khajuraho with motorbike, Taxi and can make you feel better
10 out of 10
The plAce is superb in its own style Nothing
- Mike (10/5): Clean, comfortable and central! - Very good experience with the hotel and the stuff. Everybody was very supportive and always friendly. If needed the stuff also helps you with planning activities in and around Khajuraho. If the demand is high enough they also offer Yoga and Meditation classes. The hotel is still quite simply equipped, as it has only recently opened. But you can find everything necessary and the rooms are very clean and very comfortable.
Breakfast was simple and very delicious and cooked with fresh veggies from the own garden. They offer Indian style breakfast as well as continental breakfast. Temples and main market are close to the hotel.
I can highly recommend the stay in Aarambh Residency!
