Guest Reviews
- Jane (6/5): - It was clean and quiet. Nice welcome pack. No information about property and area.
Garden was messy and lawn desperately needed a cut.
Garden furniture needs replacing. No sign of the BBQ that's mentioned in the property details.
- Sandra (10/5): Lovely stay. - The little bungalow was lovely. It was clean, warm, comfortable and well equipped. It now has a lovely new sofa which is very comfortable and a clothes maiden. The telly box worked very well and the Wi-Fi.
- Margaret (10/5): -
- Briggs (10/5): - Lovely clean place in a quiet area but only 5 min walk in to town centre. Would highly recommend this place N/A
- Stuart Coates (7/5): -
- Jackie (8/5): - Great little bungalow on a quiet estate amd short walking distance to Seahouses centre
Tastefully decorated and comfortable furniture and bed. Great location for exploring the local area on foot or. By car. Nice little welcome basket. Home from home kitchen and equipment with washing machine if needed. Perfect for 2 people
- Alison (5/5): UNDERWHELMED - House decor nice, furniture comfortable No Broadband, WiFi from a dongle - very poor connection throughout the property. Situated in a housing estate, poor value for money on location and amenities. Previous reviews misleading, as in no welcome pack, very basic amenities. Had to contact Property to ask about gaining keys/entry to the property. No communication before or during our stay. I messaged to give a review and SHE WAS EXTREMELY RUDE and said she didn’t care about what we thought and “she wouldn’t lose sleep over our review”. Customer service is clearly not her strong point…
- Ollie (9/5): -
- Fiona (9/5): Will definitely stay again - Location, very quiet area, all home comforts great garden for the dog TV didn't work terribly well, but this was explained in a note let for us also hot water from kitchen tap didn't work that well
- janet (9/5): - Really cosy and warm. Spotlessly clean and the wine and snacks were appreciated Whilst we were there, the Internet was a bit hit and miss. However the owner did leave a note explaining why, so no big issues.
- Jean (9/5): - Lovely little bungalow close to all amenities and the beach
- taylor (10/5): Little gem - A lovely cozy little retreat with a lovely little welcome basket on arrival
Good location 10 mins walk to the harbour at seahouses
Great value for money
Would definitely stay again
- Ryan (10/5): Perfect base to explore the area. Will hopefully be back! - Great location, clean accommodation, perfect hosts N/A
- Adrian (10/5): -
- Karen (9/5): Lovely property very clean. Highly recommended - Enclosed garden for dogs
Very comfortable and clean
Met host very approachable
Would definitely stay again High bath to get into shower
- Debbie (10/5): -
- Alexis (8/5): - It was very clean and a secure garden for dogs Nothing
- Brandon (10/5): Superb trip, little touches make all the difference! - Really sweet property for myself, my partner and our pup, we have a caravan in the area and wanted to visit but the site was closed, this place was ideal, lovely little touches of a few treats for us when we arrived, tea cakes were a highlight, very clean and very comfy, have recommended to many since !! Wasn't anything to dislike, ideal little break
- Justine (10/5): -
- Andrea (10/5): -
- Nigel (10/5): Very good - All good Nothing
- Ellissa (10/5): Great break very near to shops and harbour - It was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Great bed good heating as we stayed when it was very cold. Loved the decor. What I really appreciated was the welcome basket with the wine crisps and biscuits. There was a fresh bottle of milk in the fridge and tea/coffee supplied. Could have done with a small coffee table but that was a minor thing
- Maureen (6/5): Disappointing. - Would have been better to have had a shower cubicle or at least have hand rails etc. It was not suitable for anyone with disabilities.
The kitchen was not fully equipped. Only 3 knives in the drawer, no mixing bowls and chefs knives etc.
The TV is a bit difficult to operate, and couldn't get rid of the subtitles.
- Mike (7/5): -
- Tracy (10/5): - Clean and cosy Not what you expect as a holiday cottage, it is an old person's bungalow on an estate.
However the property was spotless and cosy.
- Linda (6/5): -
- Jayne (9/5): Home from home! - It was so cosy and homely. We could have moved in quite happily! Property was warm when we arrived, which was really nice, and the heaters were fab-warmed the rooms up so quickly when we got back in after a cold walk!
Immaculately clean, and very quiet.
Friendly host. Took our own fire stick and powered it off O2 mobile data.
- Kathryn (8/5): -
- andrew (9/5): -
- Rhona (8/5): Nice little cottage with good garden :) - Quiet area and very clean throughout
Good enclosed garden for the dog The WiFi isn’t the best but they are aware of this. The signal from the bedroom is particularly bad.
- Elaine (7/5): - The enclosed garden and the bed was comfy The sofas were really uncomfortable and it was so hard to relax and get comfy
- Lorraine (9/5): -
- Barry (8/5): -
- Mark (9/5): Relaxing, enjoyable short stay - The property was clean, spacious, and in a quiet location, it had everything we needed. Front door needs attention
- Hutchinson (10/5): Well worth the money -
- Suzanne (8/5): - clean and comfortable, great location for walking everywhere
- Gordon (9/5): - Short walk to seafront, great facilities, lovely welcome pack... Nothing to dislike. It's a great place to stay, but watch out for the loo - the lid can catch out the unwary. 😉
- Allison (9/5): -
- Lucy (10/5): Excellent - Stayed here with my partner and dog. It is a lovely quiet little bungalow with plenty of room for the three of us. It's an easy, flat walk into town (about 5-10 mins). Decent sized garden for the dog and again, very quiet which was nice. Everything we needed was there and even a nice welcome basket. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is decent. Thank you! The sofas are kind of small and uncomfortable if you're a bigger person.
- Hilary (8/5): - Nice and quiet and convenient to the town. The shower was not very powerful.
- Nicola (9/5): Great little bungalow. - Campbells retreat is a lovely little bungalow, extremely clean and tidy all you need for a short break.A very thoughtful welcome pack when we arrived, bucks fizz, crisps, snack bars and milk in the fridge. These little touches make all the difference. It's only a 5 to 10 minute into Seahouses.Prefect.Thankyou for a lovely stay Dianne😁 Only one small problem TV isn't brilliant hit and miss but Dianne has done her best to make it as good as possible. It didn't stop us having a great time, we weren't in the bungalow much.
- Lynne (8/5): -
- chuter (10/5): It was proper mint )))) - Perfect for a short break,
Really really quiet yet so close to the centre
The staff were extremely helpful Nothing
- Arthur (8/5): Great but not exceptional - I would have liked to give top ratings all round, the only disappointing aspect of the stay was the fire stick connection was disconnected more often than not, and this was a shame as I was unable to tune in to the news, and football
- Charlie (9/5): - Nicely presented accommodation. Comfortable with some nice touches.
Good value for money.
- Inga (8/5): - What a lovely little bungalow very central ideal location. I would definitely return again. Enjoy the crisp, buck fizz and fresh milk that were little extras the bedding and towels smelt lovely and fresh . We struggled with the double bed as we are used to a king size bed. I would definitely recommend a bigger bed, or our stay would of been a perfect 10. 😁
- Georgina (10/5): A home from home - Iittle gem of a property, great location, great little place to stay. Nice little welcome pack, it was clean, plenty of space for two people and a small dog. The garden was great for the dog. Quiet area and plenty of space to park Nothing

- Lee (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Lovely and would stay again! - The bungalow was only a 5 - 10 minute walk into the centre of Seahouses, but the area is really quiet and peaceful. It was clean and well maintained, with an enclosed back garden (great for our little dog). The bath was big and deep and the kitchen had everything you could need. Dianne was really friendly and helpful too. The kitchen window could use a blind fitted.
- Jacqueline (9/5): Superb - The host was very helpful and accommodating.
- Helen (9/5): A wonderful area to explore - Comfortable exceptionally clean and very quiet Well equipped a cafetière would be nice
- Lee (10/5): Welcoming, warm & comfortable - The whole experience had a very friendly vibe, very welcoming. The property was so comfortable with everything anyone could need for a relaxing restful accomodation Nothing
- Andrew (9/5): Superb - Great place ideally situated 5 to 10 minutes from the town centre, great little touches milk and orange juice etc.
- Sheena (8/5): Very good -
- Zinet (9/5): Superb - Great location, spotless home
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (8/5): A great place to stay as a couple a few minutes walk from all the amenities - Great location, 10 minute walk into the centre of Seahouses. Very clean property, spotless bedding also. Well equipped kitchen
Host replied to messages quickly and was kind when we needed to leave due to a family emergency
Comments below not criticism just observations A few areas which needed attention such as blind needed in the kitchen, toilet flush not working correctly. Washing machine provided which is great but absolutely nowhere/nothing to hang washed clothes on - no washing line or airer available. The bed felt small (although we’re used to a king size). None of these things spoiled our stay at all though
- Hazel (8/5): Very good - It was close to the centre. Exceptionally quiet, cosy and comfortable, and very clean.
Lovely welcome pack. lovely and warm
We look forward to returning. The room could easily hold a king-size bed, and that would be amazing. Although the double was comfortable, it was smaller than what we are used to.
A bowl in the sink would be good, along with a clean washing up sponge. Wfi for tv wasn't so good, but I rang Lee, and he helped me fix it, but in fairness, everyone mentions this, and Lee talked about getting an aerial instead.
And what would be good is hooks on the back of the bathroom door for the bath towels or an airer, then that could be used for rain-soaked clothes as well.
These points don't detract from your experience of staying here. It would just make it super perfect.
- Donna (10/5): Exceptional - A handy short walk to the harbour with access to beach and Farne island sails. There was nothing not to like. It was ideal for my purpose.
- Gaz (10/5): Exceptional - Everything as anticipated.
Great touch with juice and milk in the fridge.
Bottle of fizz plus crisps and biscuits for our walk to the beach.
Tea coffee and sugar.
Fresh smell
Enclosed garden for our dog.
Would stay again. Needed a new washing line so we could air off things. WIFI needs attention. Didn't matter to us on this occasion.
- Tammy (10/5): Exceptional - Property was very clean and well equipped. Town is only 5 minutes walk from property. This was our second stay and would definitely visit again .

- Robert (8/5): Very good -

Short walk to Seahouses, plenty of places to eat/drink Unreliable WiFi was a little frustrating at times
- Colin (8/5): Very good - Location, nicely decorated. Milk, fizz and apple tart left. Nicely furnished and cosy. Settees were bit a firm for our taste.
Slow water flow and not much hot water.
- Dave (9/5): Superb -

- Matthew (10/5): The property was everything we wanted for our mini break in Northumberland. We can’t wait to visit again soon! - The property was in a fantastic location just a short walk to the town centre. The living room was a perfect size, very comfy and nice and cosy on evening with the fireplace. The kitchen was a great size and had everything we needed to cook tea and breakfast. The bedroom was really clean and the bed was really comfy. The neighbours were really friendly and the local area was really nice and peaceful. There is nothing I didn’t like about the property it was everything we wanted and more.

The property is ideally situated to walk into Seahouses and it’s fantastic to have somewhere to park.

Everything was provided for and a nice welcome basket too. Lovely quiet area. It's within walking distance of the seafront and only a short drive to Bamburgh and Beadnel. The lady who we contacted for the key was lovely and helpful too At the moment, the WiFi isn't connected, so no TV, but this didn't bother us.
- Kim (8/5): Great, had a lovely break. - Lovely and modern, clean and tidy. Location great, really enjoyed our stay Wi-Fi was a bit of an issue, sporadic connection throughout our stay. Maybe this should be pointed out in advance to potential guests
- Robert (7/5): Good - Quiet bungalow on housing estate 5 mins from town centre, took pet so we're away from fireworks Double glazing would update property but electric radiators took chill off, security locks were basic but seemed adequate for area
