• Sweezer Jankular (10/5): Will Return! - The guy at the front desk is like, super hot. And the water in the shower was actually hot too. So good deal. There's no TV. But I've stayed at multiple places in Siargao and never had tv, nor do any of my local friends have one. But it's paradise, you don't really need one.

• Alexandre (10/5): Exceptionnel ! - Le logement est très agréable : propre, spacieux et confortable. Notre hutte était adorable, décorée avec beaucoup de goût, et tout est parfaitement bien pensé. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la petite terrasse extérieure, idéale pour se détendre et faire sécher du linge. La salle de bain est également très belle, avec de l’eau chaude et une bonne pression, ce qui est un vrai plus. Il y a même un espace dressing, pratique pour les séjours long. La chambre est climatisée, ce qui rend le séjour encore plus confortable, et la literie est de qualité. La localisation, dans une rue très peu passante à deux pas du centre animé et de la vie nocturne de General Luna, tout en restant au calme, est très appréciable. Nous aurions volontiers prolongé notre séjour tant nous nous y sommes sentis bien. Les extérieurs sont très bien entretenu (jardin tropical) ce qui rend le lieux d’autant plus agréable.

Kuya Jepoy was very helpful throughout especially with the motorbike rental situation! As it is in the center of General Luna, expect some karaoke noise around. It wasn't as bad, but bring earplugs if youre a light sleeper.

Il bagno era bello e grande, doccia calda in camera e anche con shampoo e sapone corpo. Molti asciugamani e servizio di pulizia camera ogni tot giorni, se necessario. Posizione fantastica! Proprio dietro l’angolo di Tourism Road in centro a GL. Staff super gentile e disponibile. Consigliato! La stanza, anche se dotata di aria condizionata, era molto calda, umida e un po’ soffocante - soprattutto la notte per dormire. Sarebbe stato meglio un ventilatore a soffitto. Ci sono moltissime zanzare, ma la stanza ha le zanzariere alle finestre. Se siete sensibili a gechi o insetti, forse non è il posto giusto per voi (noi ne abbiamo trovati diversi in camera).

If I had known how great my stay would be, I would have booked it earlier for more nights. Absolutely nothing. I loved being here.

• Roy Joven (10/5): - Beste Lage: ruhig und mitten im Getümmel. Das Personal und der Besitzer waren alle super freundlich und herzlich. Wir waren mit unserem Kleinkind dort und es war einfach perfekt. Immer hilfsbereit und persönlicher als ein Hotel oder Resort. Wir hatten das glück an unserem letzten Tag dort auch zur Weihnachtsfeier mit Staff und freunden eingeladen zu sein. Restaurants, Bars und Resorts mit Strand waren fusläufig erreichbar. Falls man etwas braucht kann man entweder per Whatsapp bescheid geben oder man trifft aich immer persönlich jemanden. Ein Haupthaus mit Pool zur benutzung gab es zusätzlich auch. Der wohl einzig funktionierende ATM war derekt an der Ecke beim Kermit. Vielen Dank und wir kommen definitiv wieder! Austattung: schönes bungalow, funktionierendes WLan und Aircon, sehr herzliche mitarbeiter, schöne Anlage mit Pool und Laundry direkt nebenan
• Min_114 (10/5): Muy recomendable - Nos ha encantado. Tiene un ambiente muy tranquilo y familiar, cerca de todo pero sin ruidos. La cabaña pequeña pero acogedora, tiene todo lo necesario. Super recomendable si no buscas lujos y quieres vivir una bonita experiencia. Alquilan motos a un precio muy razonable. Quizás que no había servicio de limpieza pero te prestan lo necesario si necesitas limpiar algo.

• Verna-Jane (8/5): Despite a few small inconveniences, our stay was relaxing and comfortable overall. The good definitely outweighed the mi - It’s nestled in the heart of General Luna, just a few steps away from almost everything, including the trending restos and bars, souvenir shops, and even Watson’s! The couple’s cabin is modest in size but well-kept and feels very homey. The price is also reasonable, considering its prime location. There’s a generator too, which is a big plus, especially since Siargao is known for its occasional power interruptions. I just wish the water pressure were a little stronger and the internet connection more stable. To be fair, though, the day before we checked out, I noticed they were already working on having a Starlink connection installed, so there’s that! Overall, I would still highly recommend this homestay, and it would definitely remain my top choice of accommodation once I’m back in Siargao. There wasn’t really anything I disliked about the property per se, but there was one day when we came back from our tour and found that the cabin had no power and water. Apparently, the generator had been damaged by an electrician the night before and was being fixed. It was quite a hassle that afternoon since we really needed to use the comfort room. That same night, I also didn’t sleep well because the power went out three or four times while the generator was still acting up. Our sleep kept getting interrupted because the room would get warm every time the air conditioner turned off. Another minor inconvenience was the unstable (and at times, non-existent) Wi-Fi. It was a bit challenging since I was working remotely during our stay.

We hired a Tuk-tuk privately self drive around the island tourist Rd. Close to everything food night life and Cloud 9 The road towards the accommodation but it's not on them.

• Jomari (5/5): Great place. Service and amenities need an upgrade. - The location was perfect. It was close to everything important (shops, restaurants, rentals, pharmacy). The bathroom has hot and cold water. 1. Internet - I brought my laptop with the expectation that they have accessible and functional internet (I need to check in at work for a few hours a day) but sadly, the wifi signal was too weak. I raised the concern to the caretaker and I was basically told to (suck it up *implied*) come out of the room to get some signal lol. Mad props to "Mark" who went out of his way to try and get us connected (still didnt work tho) 2. Toilet - It smelled really weird. Could use some deodorizers and fresh scents. Bidet is broken too. 3. Guest Service - To be fair, they tried to cater to our questions and request for extras (utensils, towels, toilet paper, wifi, motorbike rental) but it felt like we were being a nuisance. I've had my share of homestays in other areas and the host (caretaker) here needs to take it up a notch. It even came to a point that we would rather speak and ask the hosts of COPA (hotel next door) for help - who in fact were great, they helped us with bike rentals, a tour guide, resto recommendations, a surfing instructor, and even let us use their internet for free (considering we're not even their guests)

• Joana (9/5): Quiet, quaint, clean, and thoughtfully designed. - This place was clean and thoughtfully designed - loved all the shelves and extra towels. We were concerned that because it was centrally located, it would be loud, but it was surprisingly quiet. The AC worked well and loved the addition of the fan to keep bugs away. Also loved the balcony + seats and the plants gave us a sense of privacy from other people staying there. Wifi was spotty, could be stronger - mostly had to rely on my data. Common kitchen can use more plates! It only had cups to use.

Rubinetto per lavarsi i piedi dal rientro dal mare molto utile. Spazi in comune poco curati e assenza di atmosfera per socializzare. Strada per arrivare all'albergo a dir poco dissestata. Cantieri aperti limitrofi alla Camanolo Homestay.

La ayuda de Japoy nos vino muy bien para conseguir el transfer del aeropuerto, alquilar la moto etc El camino antes de llegar está sin asfaltar, lleno de baches, y con las lluvias se pone muy mal. El espacio dentro de la cabaña también es bastante reducido y no pasan a limpiar o cambiar toallas si no vas a pasar muchos días

The location is great close to restaurants, bars, and shops, and very easy to find. The place is also clean and comfortable, which made our stay even better.

• Maria (8/5): Cumplió las expectativas - Las cabañas eran muy chulas. Sobre todo el baño, muy amplio y con una ducha con mucha presión (algo no muy común en la mayoría de alojamientos). El aire acondicionado también iba genial. La ubicación muy buena, a 2 minutos de la calle principal. También a destacar la intimidad. Cumplió las expectativas para el precio. A tener en cuenta que se ubica en una calle que sale de la principal y está sin asfaltar. Hasta los días que no llueve está mojado y con barro por lo que un poco incómodo para salir y entrar sin mancharse.

La habitación era muy amplia y además las instalaciones contaban con una pequeña cocina en la que puedes hacerte café por la mañana. El personal es muy agradable. En la habitación había mucho olor a humedad y el ambiente cargado. Aunque la zona era tranquila se escuchaba el ruido de la fiesta por la noche, y por la mañana los de la obra dando golpes desde las 6. Respecto a la limpieza muy escasa, teniendo que solicitarla porque ya ni nos quedaba papel higiénico y las papeleras llenas. Además, del techo caía una especie de arenilla en gran cantidad encima de la cama, la cual sospechamos que era caca de algún insecto. Sinceramente, caro para lo que ofrece.

• Vincent (9/5): Amazing location and staff! Can’t wait to stay here again! - The place was very nice and comfortable! It was very Bahay Kubo vibes if you’re into that. Kuya was super welcoming and helpful and was able to answer any questions I had. The location was amazing, so close to popular restaurants and clubs which were literally 2 mins away by walking. The only thing I did not like about this stay was the internet connection. It was very very spotty. There was maybe a time where it didn’t work for a good 4 hours in the evening when I needed it for work.

• Leodelyn (10/5): We had a wonderful time! - My family and friends and I stayed at Camanolo Homestay for 5 nights and it was such a great experience! It’s a beautiful property with an excellent, friendly, accommodating, and efficient staff ; uncle Jepoi ,Koys, Ingrid, and Yasinta . It’s tucked into a road where you get some privacy from the business of the main street, but it’s still conveniently placed right in the heart of tourism road. We had so many restaurants, activities, services, and more available to us just walking distances away from Camanolo! The huts are cozy, well-maintained, and comfortable while also very immersed into nature. The staff are amazing and they even climbed up the trees to get us fresh coconuts! Camanolo homestay was a perfect accommodation for our first time in Siargao. We would definitely stay here again and really appreciate all their hospitality! We will also miss Maxy the property dog 🤍 Nothing

• Angus (7/5): Cool accommodation huts within the trees - The huts were very pretty and nice to stay in. The bedroom had very powerful fans which made sleeping more than bearable. The bathroom was spacious and modern. The owner was also very welcoming and nice, and there was a small outside kitchen area which was convenient. It was a little expensive compared to other places and as nice as it was, it did feel a tad overpriced. It is also off the main road in town down a dirt road, which is completely fine and not really out the way, but beware of mud and puddles if it rains!

• Sutherland (10/5): Great accomodation - Absolutely adored the detached accomodation style. We got our own traditional Filipino style house. Plenty of bathroom space. On site power generator for when power goes out. Quiet location although some music can be heard in the evening from nearby bars, but not loud to disrupt sleep. Last but not least, the staff were all absolutely friendly, accomodating and very hospitable. Curtains become see through at night with indoor lights on, doesnt provide confidence in privacy from outside. Clothes cabinets are in the bathroom. Aircon wont reach bathrooms as it has a ceiling high window that cant be closed which takes away some level of comfort. Bathroom door needs to be closed to keep bedroom cool. Shower head and pressure a little poor. Negatives mentioned aren't deal breakers in my opinion
• Gina (10/5): - Gorgeous, very spacious bungalows. Koys and team even went above and beyond accomodating our request for mosquito nets. They also helped us organise the transport from and to the airport, which was a big plus. The patios were perfect to chill out and the homestay ist a few steps away from everything you need in central General Luna. When in Siargao, Camanolo homestay ist definitely my homebase to come back to. -
• Cianne (8/5): Overall, a comfortable and cozy stay! - The place was very nice and cozy! Four people are comfortable due to big space and separate bath and toilet. Location is really central in Gen. Luna and most especially, kuya Jepoy was very helpful to book all our needs in the island. Really relaxing space! Common kitchen is not for cooking, but we mostly just ate outside as plenty of restaurants around. Could have some mosquitoes when door is opened, so bring insect repellant.
