• Chimstagramme (6/5): Great location but needs freshening up. - Very good location. Nice staff. Big room, bid bed and lots of storage. Decor internally is nice. The place is a bit rundown, and some fixes are needed. The shared kitchen is outdoor in direct sunlight and I did not feel comfortable using it. The bedroom window opened out onto the outdoor common area, where people can smoke. Also, it's not good for privacy. One of the two male toilets was clogged during my stay, and it took two days to fix. Thankfully, the hostel was not busy. The shower was poor, too. There was no soap by the sink. Generally, the water pressure is poor. There was a dog somewhere nearby barking every few seconds for almost the whole night, each of the three nights I was there. This is not the fault of the management, but good to keep in mind before booking.

A bejárati ajtót nem lehet rendesen halkan becsukni, becsapódás után rezgett az egész ház. Aki pihenni menne annak ezt a szállást nem ajánlom.

• Lesnic (7/5): Overpriced and Basic Facilities - The owner was friendly and helpful. I liked the location and the terrace, where you could enjoy meals outside. The kitchen is outside on the terrace and is quite basic, more like a rustic countryside setup rather than a proper kitchen. There isn’t a full cooker—just a single electric hot plate—so if there are multiple guests or if you want to cook pasta with a sauce, it’s not really possible. There were some pots, but only one stainless steel pot, and overall the cookware was very worn out. I wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone planning to stay longer or who wants proper cooking facilities instead of eating out. The room itself could also use improvement. It felt a bit neglected, and the light switch cover was missing, which seemed careless and a bit disrespectful toward guests; covering a switch would cost very little. There were a few other worn-out items in the room that I didn’t like. Considering all this, I don’t think the 80 euros per night is worth it; it feels quite expensive for what’s offered.

• Monique (5/5): Custo-beneficio que nao vale a pena - Funcionarios atenciosos e a localizacao era muito boa, perto de tudo. Apos o checkout, pode deixar a mala no local e tomar banho, se necessario. O local precisa de uma boa reforma, e tudo muito antiquado e velho. Nao tem isolamento acustico, voce escuta tudo de fora e dentro do predio. O preco da estadia e caro para o que oferecem.

• Simona (7/5): - I really liked the location; everything was nearby. There was a lovely terrace with a kitchen and comfortable seating. The staff were really kind, and our room was clean and comfortable ☺️ I really didn’t like the bathrooms. There were many shared bathrooms and toilets; however, the functionality was questionable. During our stay, one toilet overflowed and there was a lot of water on the floor. They also asked us to put the toilet paper in a bin, but it could only be opened by hand, which was unhygienic. There were about five taps, but three weren’t working and two were barely working. The showers were fine. If the bathrooms were fixed, this place would be great. But at the current price, it feels too expensive for shared bathrooms that don’t even work properly.☹️

• Małgorzata (8/5): Good Guesthouse in the city center. - The owner was suoer nice and helpful, thanks to her we found a patking lot. The location was great. All facilities clean and quite comfy. The furniture arrangement in the room could be better (it was hard to use the table) and the condition of the bathrooms.

• Molly (7/5): Too Short but sweet none the less - Ruth was very attentive and met me at the property to make sure I arrived and had what I needed. I saw cleaners onsite multiple times over the 5-6 nights I was there. The site was very quiet and was not hustling and bustling with late night shenanigans. I basically felt like I was the only one staying there after the first two nights it was so quiet in the building. Bathrooms were always available when I needed them to be. Plenty of outlets in the room and a fan was provided. Great location, close to food shops the beach and the marina. Easy dual key entry to building and room. I felt safe while traveling alone here. Make sure to go to Twin Fin for coffee/brunch just two doors up the street. Delicious. Some updates could definitely be done. Although a lot of cleaning happened over my stay, general restoration is in need primarily in the bathrooms. There often wasn't hand soap in the dispensers in the bathrooms and the sink water pressure was not good. The showers all seemed to have new heads that help pressurize the water so that was nice for showers. Beds weren't super comfortable but I never expect them to be in Europe. At night there is a lot of noise from bars all the way down the street but its something you get used to while traveling and it doesn't bother me.

• Ekaterina (10/5): Sunny oasis in the center - Very good clean and comfortable guesthouse with magnificent terrace. My room was facing terrace and it added to positive impression as it was picturesque view and sun. Style of the house is also very pleasant. You share bathroom and toilet with other guests but I never had problems with waiting or smth like this, because they are separate for women and men. Cleaning is every day. Location is perfect, everything is close, and it is I can say in the center. They also have fan, hairdryer and iron, what is very important. I am sure it is very comfortable place to stay. Can be heard sound from neighbors, how they come and leave, go to terrace.

The "bathroom" didn't have a wash hand basin, the waste paper bin had to be moved to use the toilet and the shower was so small, when I moved, I hit the lever and the water shut off. Description on booking.com said there was a bar and a snack bar, there were neither. I moved out after 2 nights
• Nicholas (8/5): Great accommodation - My room was a great size with enough space. There was no air con but greatly appreciated the fan provided. Ruth was very helpful and made sure someone was there when I arrived. I was also able to store my luggage for a little while after I checked out. The accommodation was nice and quiet and I didn't have much noise from the street with the window closed so I was able to sleep well. Location is great, super close to the main streets. The shower in my room was pretty tiny!

• Amber (7/5): Great location and friendly staff, showers and taps have low water pressure - The location was great and our room had a very cute balcony, the staff were friendly :) Even with the fan and windows open it was still quite warm in the rooms but not the end of the world. The water pressure was very weak and it was hard to take a shower if other people were also showering as it either meant no hot or no cold water.

I also liked the central location of the hostel. The host was super nice, she showed me around the town and even sent me a long list of recommendations. I was always feeling like my presence in the hostel was very special. I liked everything!

• Uliana (10/5): Exceptional - I felt alone in this guest house. Cleaning lady comes at around 10-11 and leaves by 14. It says that everything is booked on booking but I have never seen or heard anyone. It's lonely and dark in this guest house. One individual female shower and one individual female toilet with no soap. Rooftop with dusty kitchen. There's a washing machine but I wasn't allowed to use it. I extended my stay for 2 more nights because I liked location and kinda privacy. I felt like I booked the whole house. It's located next to bar/nightclub. First two nights were okay. But then friday and weekend was crazy, music is very loud until 3 am.

• Bill (8/5): Nice place and good location. - Great location, very close to the shops and night spots, as well as the beach. The hosts and staff were very nice. The room was clean too. Be mindful that one of the rooms nearest to the street is located above a night spot, so there can be quite a bit of noise until 2-3am. If you’re planning to go out you shouldn’t have a problem. The shower hardly had any water pressure, with only a small amount of water coming out.

• Elise (10/5): Very nice vacation that had everything from going out to lazy beach days. - Amazing location in the nice part of the city of Lagos. Close to nice bars, restaurants and the beach. You can wash your laundry around the corner. Beautiful Terrasse with outdoor kitchen, very nice for meeting people. Many showers, we never had to wait. Amazing staff, who were very forthcoming. Clean rooms and facilities. We‘ll definitely come back, thank you so much! Water power is a bit low since it’s an old building but if you use the showers on the left you’ll be fine. Showers are as clean as possible for so many people using them. Only one cooking platter, but we never had to wait long.

• Leah (8/5): Very good - Amazing location, lovely clean rooms and a nice communal terrace. Ruth was so lovely and welcoming as well as all of her staff behind the bar downstairs! Due to the bar downstairs on weekends it can get noisy, but finishes by 2.
• Jennifer (8/5): Nice stay in Lagos - Lovely rooftop and common space. Close to the action and lots of bars. Good wifi in common area. Accommodating and friendly hosts. Wifi is really bad in the room I was in, worked on laptop but both our cell phones were on data the whole time.

• Vazifdar (4/5): Disappointing - The staff was very helpful and responsive to questions. Good location but gets noisy at night so need to sleep with windows closed, which makes the room stuffy. Nice terrace though. This room was supposed to have a private bathroom but it was not really usable and we had to use the communal bathrooms. The bathroom was so small that you couldn't even close the door when inside, and the shower was smaller than what you would find on a boat. There was no sink in the "bathroom". Not worth the price paid at all. Plus, spring mattresses which were not comfortable at all.

Toilet brush + around toilet had mosr definitely not been cleaned for a very long time. Freezer should have been emptied long ago

• Sherman (8/5): Has potential of being a great spot. - Friendly family, quiet property, room clean. Showers could be cleaned better. I got a lot of bug bites from the cushions outside. Room extremely hot, almost always 10 degrees hotter than outside.

No AC, only a fan, so it did feel very hot during mid day. Loud at night, as there are a lot of clubs around, but not a problem for us.

• Elleen (10/5): Excellent guesthouse! - Ruth and her son Diogo were so welcoming and kind. They made sure I felt right at home. It was evident that the guesthouse and restaurant downstairs were managed with passion...they really care about their guests personally. It's rare to find hosts that do things from their heart, and it made the experience that much more enjoyable. The beds were comfortable, and the guesthouse was very clean. The food and drinks at the restaurant were very tasty. I will definitely come back! Thank you for a great stay!
• Liz (10/5): A comfortable stay in the heart of Lagos - The guest house is centrally located. You can walk get to many of the shops, restaurants, bars, and beaches within just a few minutes. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The en-suite bathroom was perfect for me but would be small for two people sharing the room. There was not a sink in the room.

Staff is very nice and friendly. it’s very very very noisy at night since it’s right in the middle of everything. i wound up sleeping with my headphones on at night listening to brown noise to try and drown out the noises.

Nice communal outdoor terrace and kitchen area- indoor living area also pleasant. Great communications with hostess via what’s app, she was so helpful and let me keep my bag there after check out until I got my train. nothing! please note though that some reviews mention free breakfast and this wasn’t the case, coffee/tea is free though which was a nice touch.

• Ruth (10/5): Welcoming, sociable, lovely stay! - The host Rute is absolutely lovely, makes all guests feel incredibly welcome, invites you for a drink in their bar restaurant downstairs which serves the most delicious food. We arrived late and they served us on the terrace which was amazing. Our room was lovely, and the bed was so so so comfortable that we slept for so so long, I have never felt so rested. This is a family business and it felt so too, because it was very personable. Every morning our host served us coffee on the terrace and she was always happy to talk and give recommendations. Definitely support this family guest house. All facilities are clean and in good walking distance to the beaches, and right in the centre of lagos. Close to the train station and lots of lovely restaurants a 5 minute walk away
