• Giulia (9/5): Amazing local experience! - This hotel has the best view, delicious food and very kind and helpful staff. But what we loved the most was our guided tour! We were a bit reluctant on hiring a guide, thinking we could simply hike ourselves. Then we met Ramses and Sarah, two friendly locals who not only took us to a breathtaking viewpoint no one talks about, but also shared so many stories about Batad, and even cooked hand-picked vegetables for us! We also learned to pound rice and took it home. It really felt like being with friends, we felt so lucky! If you want an unforgettable local experience, make sure to ask about them. We will cherish this experience forever! Our room had a door facing outside with a large space at the bottom and the top, so we had a few insects in the room. It could be nice to replace it with a full door to avoid this. Other than that, everything is very clean and comfy.

• Ronan (10/5): Paradise for the adventurous, thanks to the kindness and dedication from the people of Batad. - The team is wonderful, they made everything to make our stay easy and enjoyable, from the pick up at Banaue to the tours in the terraces and to the falls. Then, obviously, there is THE VIEW. It is stunning at every glance. It’s beautiful. The efforts the inhabitants put into the preservation of the multi centennial knowledge are humbling and they are to be praised. So don’t hesitate and treat yourself with the best gift (plus the food is delicious).
• Core May (10/5): Best Birthday trip - The property is located overlooking the terraces. You will have the view while sleeping, eating or just hanging out. Generous comfortable pillows. We had 3 each. The hot Nisha has been really excellent catering to our needs. There’s 8 of us. A Bit chaotic and all over the place but they have been very patient. Eric, our driver and tour guide was a cherry on top. My Aunt struggled to finish the Batad your but he took time and waited and helped pull her until she is back in the property, even under the rain. The property kindly provided 5 big sturdy umbrellas during the rain. The communication and information provided before the check in has been very clear and timely. So happy I changed my booking to this property. Shower pressure has been low but otherwise everything is just into our liking and convenience

• PINKY (10/5): The best place to stay when in Batad - Our Family Room had its own private toilet and shower, a luxury in the whole area of Batad! It had amazing views of the rice terraces, was huge with 3 double beds and located on the ground floor. If you have a chance to book it even if you are a solo traveller or a couple, go for it. Nisha the owner arranged our transfers, our tours and guide and massage. All were of good value. The staff are incredibly warm, friendly and efficient. Thank you to our guide Darwin, our masseuse Josephine, and Millen at reception. The Inn has a little shop at the reception area that sells souvenirs, toiletries, snacks and most importantly, imported chocolate like Hershey bars, Mars and Kitkats which was a treat for someone with a sweet tooth. I liked that it was also the one closest to the road and had a restaurant onsite. Overall, for us, it's the best choice to stay in when in Batad, it provided us with the creature comforts in an area that is beautifully rural and quite remote.

Nisha, Josephine and the staff made us feel very welcome. Great massage by Josephine. The hike they arranged for us was awesome with a local Ifugao guide who told us a lot about the indigenous culture. Would highly recommend staying here if you enjoy quiet places in nature- the best stay of our trip so far!

C'è anche un' amaca su cui riposare dopo il trekking. Niente, ma bisogna essere in forma fisicamente per raggiungere la struttura, meglio non avere valigie pesanti con sé.

It was served at the requested time, the plte was well presented and the food was delicious. I understand that it was a free breakfast but it would have been more enjoyable if it were not too limited in the amount per serving of the main dish.

I did not like Five rooms with one shared bathroom toilet and it has thin wooden walls and floor, you can hear the neighbouring rooms snore, cough etc. first night was noisy, the second night was very quiet.

• Rhea (10/5): - We were warmly welcomed, and while waiting to check into our clean room, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast from the menu with a fantastic view of the rice terraces. Everything was well organized. Even before our arrival, we were given options to book transportation to the accommodation, tours, and a massage. Be sure to take one of the many walking sticks available at the entrance of the accommodation for the rice terrace hike — they are very helpful when dealing with the changes in elevation. The massages by Ate Josephine and her niece were very relaxing. Many thanks again, and also thank you for the lovely conversations and the excellent organization.

• Gerrie (3/5): Niet voor herhaling vatbaar - Eigenlijk niets, het enige dat er soepel mee gedacht werd om van 1kamer voor 2 nachten te wisselen naar 2 kamers voor 1 nacht. De weg erheen was verschrikkelijk. De modderige berg op klimmen. Een erg kleine ruimte om te zitten. schoenen uit, niks om aan je voeten te doen. 5 kamers met maar 1 toilet!! Heel erg gehorig. Ik hoorde de buurman de hele nacht snurken. Maar Een hele dunne deken en het was nogal koud. De maaltijden duurde erg lang en waren meer dan simpel. Kortom wij zijn na 1 nacht vertrokken. Geen enkele opmerkingen hoe onmogelijk de huidige ligging van de accommodatie is. Dat is erg slecht en onzorgvuldig.

The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and they made our Christmas Eve dinner truly special — such a lovely and thoughtful experience. The shared bathroom was always clean and never too busy. There are also games available to play, which adds a nice relaxed atmosphere. The location is very convenient, it is not far from the spot they drop you of by tricycle, so you don’t have to walk far with your luggage. A wonderful place with a warm, welcoming vibe — highly recommended

• Laurène (9/5): Très belle vue - Vue exceptionnelle sur les rizières Le personnel est très sympathique et disponible Très bon séjour mais quelques points à noter : Difficile d'accès mais c'est ce qui fait son charme. Cela dit, c'est probablement l'un des hébergements les plus accessibles depuis la route principale. Le débit d'eau de la salle de bain partagée est très faible donc impossible de laver mes cheveux (cheveux épais et bouclés). D'autres membres de ma famille ont pu s'accommoder du faible débit d'eau. L'éclairage dans la chambre pourrait être amélioré.

• Gauthier (10/5): PERFECT place, PERFECT stay! - We have stayed 2 nights in Batad Countryside and it was great! We felt at home! The view from both the restaurant and the rooftop is amazing! This is the best view you can have on Batad, because it's the highest guesthouse. Nisha, her mother Josephine and her cousin are adorable! Always nice, smiling and helpful. Breakfast was included and very good. You can also have lunch and dinner there. There are some board games if you want to play. The rooms are cosy, the common bathroom is clean, with hot water. We unfortunately didn't try, but Josephine's massages seem amazing! And very cheap (300 pesos for 30min and 500 pesos for 1 hour). One day, we didn't go out because of the strong rain but this place was the perfect place to stay to chill and enjoy the amazing view. Also, they saved our tour when our guide didn't show up, they could last minute organize a tour with one of their local guide who was great! We strongly recommend this place, thanks for everything!

• Trula (10/5): Stunning and peaceful stay in Batad - Batad Countryside was an oasis during our two-night stay in Batad. It's the first hotel you'll come across as you're hiking into Batad, which is fantastic, and after walking through the whole village, I wouldn't be surprised if it's one of the nicer guesthouses available. There is a communal dining/hangout area on the second floor of the property which has absolutely stunning views of the rice terraces, and the rooms are simple but surprisingly spacious and comfortable. The shared bathroom was much larger than expected and is kept clean. The menu was surprisingly large and we enjoyed everything we tried -- make sure to try the roasted rice coffee/tea! The property staff are also extremely kind and wonderful to talk to and learn from; they made our stay a joy. As a bonus, there were two playful kittens as well! We experienced some power outtages while we were there, but the hosts kept us updated and ran a generator in the evenings so that we had a few hours of power. Still, we were unable to get wifi or signal for the whole time we were in Batad, so be aware that if you absolutely need reliable power/wifi/signal, Batad is probably not the best destination for you.

• KANAE (9/5): 棚田の村を楽しむためのフレンドリーな宿 - 部屋や共有スペースから素晴らしい棚田の景色を見ることができる。スタッフは非常にフレンドリーで、banaueからbatadまでの送迎や、棚田のツアー、マッサージなどのオプションも持っています。ツアーの値段は観光センターより普通か、ちょっと高いくらいかな。でも滞在中に臨機応変にオーダー出来るので便利です。 やはり自然の中にあるので虫がいっぱいいます。夜は部屋の明かりをつけていると虫が寄ってくるので電気は消しておきましょう。あと、シャワーの水圧も低いです。
• Francesco (10/5): Perfect stay in Batad - The owner young lady was so kind, gentle, and very helpful. Place is very easy to reach from the last accessible road by 15 min walking, amazing view of the rice terraces from the veranda during breakfast and rooms. Facilities sometimes basic but the top for the place, still need to remember where you are. The day of departure, the old lady was awake at 3am making sure we were awake for our pickup, an unforgettable gesture of kindness.

• Allan Danilo (9/5): - We had a great time in Batad Countryside. The staff is extremely friendly, the breakfast offered was great, and the à la carte dinner had a wide range of options. There are not many facilities at the property, and the bedroom is not totally comfortable, as we missed a fan, but if you are looking for more comfort, you should stay in Banaue. Above everything, there was that stunning view of the terraces, which can basically hypnotise anyone, and that was why we came to Batad. At the property, we requested a guide to the Tappiya Falls, who arrived within just a few minutes without a prior booking. This tour was extremely pleasant, as we walked all the way through the terraces and also visited the village on our way back.

Avondeten en ontbijt in orde, en het wandelen met een gids via hun was prachtig! Wij hadden geen ongedierte in de kamer, andere gasten wel iets, maar dat is wat ons betreft geen probleem en vrij gewoon. Drankjes in de koelkast goede prijs. Overnachting ook goedkoop. Niets, we wisten dat het een simpel guesthouse is, het uitzicht is waanzinnig.
• Gwyneth (3/5): Beautiful view, but overpriced, lots of insects and you need a big wallet for you stay. - Beautiful view over the rice terraces because it’s the highest house on top. Hosts were friendly, though very money-focused. We had a terrible experience here. The place was dirty, with cockroaches crawling inside the walls, a strong smell, and lots of mold. At night, the terrace was unbearable due to insects. The hosts seemed very money-driven, charging for everything — even a small take-away box for a child, Wi-Fi by the hour, and extremely overpriced food and drinks (which we were dependent on because of the remote location). The tour was a complete rip-off: 1,500 pesos for an unfriendly, unhelpful guide who kept running away not wanting to avoid talking to us— it wasn’t even a real guided tour. Definitely not recommended.
