- Andrew (10/5): Would return for a second stay and recommend. - You had everything you needed
For a comfortable home from home stay. Well presented and well kitted out. It was very clean, presented and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. It’s perfectly placed on the hill and great to access local amenities.
- Laura (6/5): Overal pleased but could do with some detailing.x - Location was excellent, property is a great size and the check in/check out was easy- thank you for the milk/water and snacks too! Extra large bed was also comfy! The place needs a deep clean, I had to move a couple of bits of furniture so the my children would settle next to each other and behind there was loads of dust, it just feels like it needs a refresh decorating wise too. We had our stay at a great price so we were pleased but if we’d have paid the full price or the listed original price it would have been a bit of a let down.
- Lesley (8/5): Fabulous stay in a lovely location. - Fantastic location, nicely decorated well equipped. Slightly noisy from the road
- Nadine (8/5): -
- Chris (10/5): Had an excellent stay. The apartment vas clean and very spacious. Brilliant location and was able to park for free direc - Very spacious apartment N/a
- GRAHAM (8/5): Excellent value - Excellent property, brilliant breakfast Traffic noise in the morning a little annoying
- Maxine (8/5): Clean, comfortable and a great location. - Great facilities and great location.
- Tomas (10/5): - Muy buena ubicación. Nos dejaron unos detalles de bienvenida sabiendo que íbamos con niños. Bien decorado y cómodo.
- Sean (10/5): - Was a really nice stay, the staff were very welcoming and helpful. First stay at the cotswolds and would definitely stay at devonford again.
- Sean (10/5): - Great place. Loved the little extra snacks provided. Perfect for what we needed. Thanks
- Paul (10/5): Brilliant a lovely place to relax and explore local area - Absolutely everything you could need and such a lovely location
- Jose (8/5): - Amazing location. Next to main street with thin windows tho. They need some fans in the property in case weather get hot!
- May (8/5): Loved the property, conflicting message about breakfast! - We loved the property, it had everything we need for a 2 nights stay. Love the extra touches like shower amenities, snacks, etc. Property is well decorated. We had conflicting responses whether breakfast was included. We initially inquired about breakfast as previous reviewers said they loved that breakfast was included. After enquiring, online management said there was no breakfast.
However when we got to the property, we were told to come down for breakfast the next day as it was included, so we thought maybe they had changed their minds. The management has since apologised for the confusion which we appreciate but just FYI for all future bookers, breakfast is no longer included. So that messed with our mornings slightly.
The noise from the street was also prominent but we knew of this before booking the property :)
- Rachel (10/5): Fantastic would go again. - Everything. Enjoyed the extra little touches like the toiletries and snack table. The heating in the living room didn’t work so was a bit chilly in the communal area but when we alerted the staff to this they very quickly came to help with the situation and gave us some heaters.
- Emile (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catherine (10/5): - This apartment is on the High Street in Burford so very well situated for access to the Cotswolds, dining options, tea rooms and the buzz of a market town. Rooms very well portioned and the flat is spread over 2 rooms. Lovely and quiet too.
- Anne-marie (7/5): Good -
- Mike (5/5): Poor accommodation but amazing food - The breakfast was the only thing that saved this from a 1 star review No hot water for a bath. The heating was inadequate. The fire was working along with 1 of the heaters. The windows just banged about all night. Friday morning the bin men wake you at 5 45 and then you have to wait for almost 4 hours to get your breakfast. The kitchen window and the roof leaked during a rain storm. We booked for 2 adults and 4 children. Expecting 3 rooms and we ended up having to put 2 kids on a sofa bed together as only 1 double and 2 single bed were available. The kitchen was so small but functional. There was only 1 tv in the lounge and not in any other room.
We tried the service number on 4 occasions and no answer on any of those.

- Melody (2/5): No sleep with noise and breakfast was shocking . - The cleanliness Not suitable for children , no high chairs in the restaurant and they do not accommodate for children no children’s menu . Set menu for people staying at the house with no full English option unless your a walk in . Very stressful breakfast, we didn’t go for breakfast again as it was an awful experience .
The house did not have a hot tap that flowed properly so cannot have a bath which was hard with a child .
Don’t expect a good nights sleep as the traffic is horrendous, big trucks, lorries, tractors going past the house all day and all night , the staff made out we was lying about this but we were kept up all night with the noise and also cars racing even though it’s a 20 zone .
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Tashena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wenbo (10/5): - A warm stay here!
- Emma (6/5): Overall a nice property but if you’re a light sleeper I would avoid. - Really nice building, spacious living room and bedrooms and great facilities. Easy check-in/check-out. Extremely loud. We didn’t expect double glazing in this type of property but underestimated just how loud it would be. Heard traffic and tractors all through the night and I think I eventually fell asleep around 4am and then was woken by someone offloading a van around 6 - potentially a butcher/baker/candlestick maker. Who knows! There is parking right outside but spaces are tight and due to having to get our son out we had to find additional parking down a side street.. There is some sort of church bell right out side the windows of the property which chimes every half an hour until 1030pm. 10 loud chimes at 10pm was fun and amazing that it didn’t wake our 2yr old who was already having a disturbed sleep due to the outside noise. I’m super surprised that no other reviews mentioned the noise and it’s a real shame because it’s a great property but this really let it down. Overall it was clean and tidy but the windows were filthy. Breakfast was nice, although they didn’t have any high chairs which made breakfast stressful trying to keep a 2yr old sat still in a normal chair. We had to rush our food and get out of the cafe, but probably a clue as to what type of clientele they want staying. Sadly, an expensive, sleepless night and due to the noise wouldn’t stay again.
- Stafford (7/5): Perfect place to stay - It suited the purpose for my security staff, a nice clean place to sleep N/A
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location, very comfortable place. Breakfast was amazing!
- Vijayalaxmi (10/5): Exceptional - My family had a wonderful stay. Thanks to the owner and staff for ensuring that our stay was excellent.
- Schani (10/5): Great location to use as base to explore surrounding villages. - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the apartment! It has an excellent location on the high street - close to shops, restaurants and cafes. The apartment is really spacious and light with high ceilings. We really appreciated the treats left for us and lovely touches all through the apartment. Burford was a great town to stay in and we loved using it as a base to go and explore the surrounding villages. There is off street parking , but we made use of the town's free car park.
