- Stephen (10/5): Beautiful heritage and fantastic picturesque moments ❤️ - Excellent location, we were able to travel to all the places we wanted to visit very easily. Everyone we spoke with on our trip were so lovely and friendly too. I would highly recommend visiting this area, it is absolutely beautiful. The accommodation was perfect for what we wanted and very clean. The host communicated really well and was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended 👌 It was perfect 🥰
- Julie (10/5): Amazing - Lovely property, well equipped and great location too! Not really a dislike a suggestion that maybe a couple small chairs.
- Liam (8/5): -
- Henry (10/5): - Brilliant place, very clean and tidy and as described. Location was gorgeous and contrary to other reviews, road traffic noise wasn't an issue. Would definitely stay again. Nothing of note
- Sharon (10/5): - Very clean and homely Bed was a little hard
- Katie (10/5): Super quirky little space with superb views! - Really enjoyed this place, the space was quirky & compact which we loved. The seating area in the kitchen was delightful, especially with the views (even on a miserable day). The bed was super comfy & the lighting was a great additional feature. Parking literally outside the door, with easy access to routes via the bus stop across from the doorstep. It had everything we needed, I would just recommend maybe some hooks in a few areas to hang additional things but overall it's a superb little space! Fantastic price & very responsive host. Thank you for having us 😊 Nothing to fault.
- Gillian (10/5): Comfy, cozy with stunning views. - A beautiful place to stay with excellent views and a very comfortable bed.
- Rachel (10/5): -
- Natalie (5/5): Beautiful views - Very clean, bathroom and kitchen spotless, plenty of utensils and crockery and the essentials were available, beautiful views No entrance area straight into the bedroom from the street, noisy at night with cars going past and very draughty, damp in the kitchen and bedroom but we were told this is being rectified
- Guest (9/5): Loved it - Liked the fire place and the wooden floor and door Didn’t have a Christmas tree
- FM (5/5): Could be great! - The location is very picturesque and easy parking The mattress, quilt, pillow and bed covering quality wasn’t good. The mattress is thin and hard, pillows thin, bedsheets are polyester. I was booked to stay here for 3 nights but drove home to get my own bedsheets and quilt so I could stop the second two nights. There was also a terrible sewage smell the final night, the shower trap was clean but due to the small space the whole room stank. The room was also cold and I couldn’t get the heater to warm it up

- Jane (5/5): Noise sensitive? Not for you. - Host was helpful.
Bed was very comfortable.
Shower was excellent.
Kitchen was well equipped.
Spacious and bright room. Oven and trays were dirty.
Shower room smelled awful.
Extractor fan ran for over an hour at a time.
Difficult to ventilate as windows are high up so had to leave front door open.
No comfortable seating.
Traffic noise is horrendous.

- Martyna (10/5): Perfect 👌 Thank you ! - We had a wonderful time at Slaymaker Cottage and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. The property itself is beautiful and every detail has been considered. The property is spotless and felt like a home away from home. The location was peaceful and conveniently close to everything we needed, including Haworth! Morgan, the host, was really responsive and genuinely welcoming. He provided clear instructions and helpful local recommendations. We can't wait to return! Nothing
- Chris (7/5): Good - Clean and tidy flat. Good to have a supermarket and Worth Valley Railway nearby.
- Hambleton (10/5): Exceptional - . Nothing
- Peter (8/5): Cosy, warm, good facilities, great views and walks, very nice pies at the Golden Fleece! - Views, closeness to amenities, great walks, kitchen facilities, comfortable bed Could do with a freshen up of paint in the kitchen
- Holdsworth (10/5): Excellent Apartment! - It was a nice location in Oakworth with a lovely view, everything you needed for a stay was in the apartment, Co-op a short walk away.
Excellent for exploring the local area, close to Haworth. Enjoyed Oakworth station and the Worth valley steam engines
- Graham (4/5): Disappointing - Nothing, the owner was very understanding and helpful. Location, uncomfortable bed, no curtains only blinds which didn't shut out all the headlights from the busy road very near to the property , noise from passing traffic throughout the night and the constant glare of a set of traffic lights just outside the windows, the wall in the kitchen area was very damp and peeling paint .
- Jason (6/5): Pleasant -
- Caryn (10/5): Great value for a weekend away - A super comfortable studio apartment and a great base for exploring the local area. It had everything we needed for our weekend stay.
- John (5/5): Passable - It is lovely place very comfortable, very nice lay out, comfortable bed, bright clean.
Lovely view in the morning. No heat in the bathroom, for the price you would expect a heated bathroom, the fan was also very annoying staying on.
No blind of curtain for the main front door, we used a towel so that wasn’t a problem, but for the price of stay this needs to be a priority because of not only light coming through at at night but for the privacy.
I think it would also Benefit from maybe half frosted windows in the main studio. Or net curtains for privacy.
A decent settee would have been better than the current setting in the bedroom.
The road noice was a huge problem for my husband, we thought it would be quiet given the time of year we stayed ( less traffic) but it was very busy all night long, speeding cars etc , I had ear plugs but I could still hear the speeding cars ) and he also said the smelly spray thing in the bathroom made a very ghostly noise ( you don’t notice until, it’s quiet) lol 😂
The price did not reflect on the issues we had, it’s beautiful place but unfortunately it was let down by these issues.
- Julie (8/5): Better than staying in a cheap hotel - Nicely decorated- good features like an easy to use tv with streaming services. Lovely little but practical kitchen. Very cold bathroom. I’m ok with being cold but it is a shame you have to have logs for warmth.
- Walker (8/5): Very good - Nice compact accommodation close enough to howarth that its an inexpensive uber ride
- Connor (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (7/5): Good - The place was very clean. Nice lighting, kitchen well equipped. Nice to have some basic supplies. Nice view, good location for exploring around. No hot water from the taps, shower electric so that was fine.
Building work going on in the flat above, some strange noise going on throughout the last night not sure what it was.
It lacked somewhere to sit, just the bed in the room although I appreciate that there is not a lot of room.
Bathroom cold no heating in it, lots of condensation on all the surfaces in the bathroom.
- Jasmine (9/5): Lovely homely and comfortable - Really cute and modern and clean. Felt a bit like a home from home in a lovely little compact space. The kitchen is lovely for sitting and having a coffee. The view is really lovely out there as well. TV was really fun to play with as well Nothing particularly we disliked.
- Chrissie (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous little cottage. Loved the beams with the LED strips, nice touch, and the log burner. All very compact and cosy. Bathroom was freezing, could do with some form of heating and I’d put a door on the kitchen area doorway, save having to listen to water trickling down the pipes constantly.
- Joseph (10/5): Morgan is a great host with great communication -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Megan (5/5): Lovely for an autumnal break with good walks and movies but only if you can afford to order takeout the entire stay. - The view was lovely, the kitchen was well equipped cutlery wise, the lighting was pleasant, the bed was somewhat comfortable and the streaming services and WiFi were great. There was mold in the kitchen, the oven and hobs weren't working, the bathroom smelt musty, the shower head pressure wasnt even slightly okay and the god awful parking broke our tires but is not necessarily the fault of the owner.
- Lloyd (8/5): A pleasant stay in a lovely apartment with a very helpful owner. - Beautifully designed and excellently finished ground floor apartment. Well situated for Oakworth and Haworth walks and train rides. The owner was extremely helpful when I had a couple of problems sorting the heater- my fault! Needed a couple of easy chairs.
- Uzma (9/5): Superb -
- Laura (10/5): The cottage had everything we needed and was very peaceful. Will definitely be returning! - Very cosy and incredible views
- Karen (9/5): Cant Wait to be back - Morgan was fantastic we arrived early for my husbands birthday and he gave us the KSC so we could start the celebrations The place is very small but has everything you need its really cosy We met fantastic locals in the near by pub had grest food in another nearby placr just outside Haworth it was perfect will definitely be booking again loved it Thank you Absolutely nothing to dislike
- Dawn (10/5): Perfect! We‘ll be back for a longer stay next time. - We loved everything, but especially the breakfast with a few. The bed was really comfortable and the cottage was equipped with everything we needed.
There are some lovely walks close by for hikers and dogs.
- Shariza (10/5): Had a great time. Will book again someday - Impecable taste. Very elegant and just nice for a short stay
- Tina (10/5): Great little stop over.. - Great little cottage which was finished to very high standard. Had everything we needed for our stop over. Very comfortable. The only thing that wasn’t 10/10 was the Main Road but there’s absolutely nothing that can be done about that and it did have the Bus Stop right opposite which was a bonus 👍
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (7/5): Good - towels once wet could not be dryed in the room
- Sheila (10/5): We found the host very helpful, the accommodation was clean warm and welcoming - We made our own breakfast as this was self catering N/A
- Graham (9/5): Lovely bolt hole all mod cons and great view - Lovely refurbished apartment
- Muriel (9/5): Perfect weekend stay, visiting Yorkshire - The tasteful decor, the great view, and the well thought out layout ! Super Comfortable bed ! The Co op down the road that was open from 7am and closed at 10pm Everything was great.
Some recommendation that would make next visit even more pleasant:
A hook on the bathroom door to hang a gown or the other towel.
Small pot to heat up milk.
A floor mat for the bathroom floor.
- Kellie (9/5): Lovely, comfortable stay. Views were beautiful! - Cute, Modern and comfortable. Nothing. It suited our needs completely
- Lynn (4/5): Not great - Location was pretty Knivfe Cutlery was dirty and needed washing. No comfortable sette only bench like seat. No cafeteria.
- Janet (9/5): Very pleasant werkend stay near good restaurants and bars - Cleve interior design. Plenty of kitchen materials for a short stay. The owner was very helpful and responded very quickly to any messages. The lock box was difficult to manage especially in its crowded location among smelly bins.
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional - Tasteful décor, great views, very clean. Nothing
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Communication was excellent, place itself is very comfortable and beautifully presented. Comfy bed and perfect facilities.
- Liz (10/5): The location was good and loved the use of such a small area - It was local to family and looked quite quirky , lovely view when having breakfast It took a while for the light and extractor fan to turn off once finished in the bathroom
- Roger (10/5): Very comfortable and well presented - Really well presented, great decor and very comfortable. All the facilities you would need for a short stay. Parking on the quiet side street immediately outside was convenient. The friendly pub was 15 minutes walk away, and a great fish a chip shop about 10 minutes walk. The main road at the end of Slaymaker Lane was quite busy and only 10 metres away, but not too noisy, even with the windows open.
- Sandra (9/5): Old cottage interlinks with 21st Century technology and design. - Well thought out refurbishment of an old cottage, making great use of every space. Loved the lighting, ultra modern technology, hot shower, new all round. Fantastic price. Fab location. Amazing view. A little looked over but didn’t deter me from returning again. Comfy bed, very clean bedding, towels, bathroom. Couldn’t fault it. The water from the shower splashed onto the floor in a slight puddle - need a bath mat to help soak this up. Also need oven gloves in the kitchen for safety of clients wishing to cook, and a tea towel. A towel change would be good every couple of days perhaps. Need to be tall or nimble to reach the very high windows, but unsure how this could be made better for clients. These are merely helpful and supportive comments. The accommodation was fantastically designed. I will definitely return. Although I didn’t take my dog this time, it’s definitely suitable for a dog in tow.
- Phil (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely beautiful little place ideal for exploring Howarth and surrounding areas! Everything is there that you could need and a decent pub (The Snooty Fox) just up the road and a CO Op supermarket within walking distance!
We Absolutely LOVED this place! Would definitely book again!
- Jason (10/5): Excellent place in a lovely location with all the facilities you need - Magnificent view, lovely place
- Zoe (8/5): Relaxed - Great location
Well equipped Bathroom needs heating
Better quality bedding needed and larger towels
- Rosie (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was small but perfectly thought out. It had everything we needed. A privacy film on the kitchen window would make this perfect. As we did feel a little looked in on being street level. The view was great though.
- Lavender (10/5): Lovely cosy place to stay wi - Beautiful cosy place witha beautiful view. The host was very attentive and even came out to help us solve a problem late in the evening. Thank you had an amazing time.
- Jason (10/5): Fantastic place to stay well furnished and amazing location -
- David (10/5): Cosy getaway - We loved staying and will be staying again.
Clean, cosy very well presented.
Nice breakfast seating view and the wood burner was just lovely.
Dog friendly and not far from howarth so ticked all our boxes
Great price too
