• Alessandra (10/5): Das Mengi Countryside hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen und wir würden gerne wiederkommen! :) - Das Mengi Countryside hat uns sehr positiv überrascht. Ein Farmhaus auf dem Land, mit wunderschöner Aussicht und einer gut ausgestatteten Küche. Das Zimmer war gross und die Betten sehr bequem. Auch das Frühstück war ansprechend und lecker. Das absolute Highlight ist der Hotpot draussen, in dem man entspannt in der Nacht die Nordlichter bestaunen kann. :) Die Zimmer waren etwas hellhörig und wir konnten die anderen Gäste am Morgen und Abend hören. In der Nacht war es jedoch ruhig. Die Duschabflüsse sind möglicherweise schon älter, da sie etwas gestunken haben beim duschen.

Igual que las zapatillas de tela usadas de la entrada.Si se dejan los zapatos por higiene,es totalmente antihigiènico compartirlas.Deberían ser de un solo uso. Cada habitación debería tener su baño.

• Ana (10/5): Memorable home - It's a beautiful place, especially when you visit in summer, the grass is green and there's sun outside, the home is beautiful and cozy, our host was very kind and we had a nice breakfast, the rooms are clean and comfortable. A shared toilet is a little bit uncomfortable but it was nothing that important.

Il y a un restaurant qui sert des burgers ou pizzas .Le petit déjeuner est en plus et varié. L'établissement est très bien situé . En fait tout est parfait seulement à mon goût les douches sont un peu viellautes et il faisait froid.

The place and everything nearby was beautiful. And breakfast was really good too. 100/100. Lots of showers, bathrooms and the kitchen was huge too. I would return if coming back to Iceland. Nothing. • MARIO ALBERTO (10/5): FANTÁSTICA MENGI HOUSE - La ubicación muy buena para visitar Geysir, Gulfoss . Pero ya solo la vista de tranquilidad mirando al campo de la habitación que teniamos para 3 es una gozada. Con todo lo que puede ofrecer una Guesthouse con baño compartido , pero con la ventaja de Hot Tub con duchas. Buen desayuno . Pero sobre todo ,los propietarios españoles , super amables y dispuestos a ayudar y con unas recomendaciones para visitar que no olvidaremos. Gracias. Nada reseñable.

• Cédric (9/5): - Établissement bien situé pour aller visiter la région de landmannalaugar. La nuit est chère mais il y a un sauna, douche privative et un bon petit déjeuner copieux et un restaurant sur place (cher aussi comme partout en Islande) mais bon !
• Michelle (9/5): Remote nice stay on the Golden Circle - A neat house with clear rules for the common areas, and huge windows (helps with spotting aurora even from inside - if not for the clouds when we were there...) Loved the little explanation video before arrival. Good for getting to know the place, and easy self-check-in! Not a fan of shared bathrooms, but there is no helping that, and of course you know it prior to booking.

Lo dejamos para otra vez ;-) Y las vistas y la ubicación eran increibles, en medio del círculo dorado No nos gustó que los baños eran compartidos, pero eso fue error nuestro, que no sé por qué pensábamos que eran privados. Del alojamiento, no hubo nada que no nos gustara.

• Eugenia (10/5): A great guesthouse with the view - The location could not be better - away from the crowds but close to the golden circle attraction. We arrived at sunset and the view from the house was spectacular. The sky, grass, horses turn golden color - an unforgettable experience. The house was clean, nicely decorated, we had to take our shoes off, but it seems to be the practice in every guest house we stayed, we had a room with 2 single beds and a sofa on the ground floor downstairs. The sofa bed was ok (you have to sleep with your head to the door to not feel the space between the sofa pillows with your back) - we were very tiered from walking all day. The house has a very nice fully stocked kitchen with a large fridge and a freezer and a gas stove (we bought some marinated lamb, salad, tomatoes, and potatoes for dinner). The breakfast was nice (hard boiled eggs, some cereal, skyr, jams, tomatoes, cucumbers, kiwis, bread, cheese and salami) we enjoyed eating on the deck and appreciated the views). It seems that other guests used the hot tub, but we didn’t have time. We liked everything

• Bettina (10/5): Ein toller Einstieg in den Urlaub bevor wir über die Kjölur in den Norden gestartet sind - Wirklich super nette Gastgeber, sehr liebevoll eingerichteter Aufenthalts- und Essbereich. Konnten Dank dem super Wetter das Frühstück auf der Terrasse geniessen und abends den tollen HotPot im Garten. Die Gemeinschaftsküche war sehr ordentlich und gut ausgestattet.

La zona pranzo è meravigliosa, con una bellissima vista. La cucina enorme, pulita e comodissima da utilizzare. Colazione top. Siamo stati davvero bene!

There is also a hot tub, which we did not use but had a great view of the surrounding fields. There are shared bathrooms, one on each floor of the house. We never had to wait at all, but just something to note if you prefer to have a private bathroom

• Roger (1/5): I would never stay at this place again. - It was in a very quiet location We stayed on second floor. There was only one bathroom serving 5 rooms. This is not acceptable. It meant that it was impractical to take a shower in the morning because there was a line to use the toilet. Breakfast was adequate but very basic. The staff insisted we take off shoes and wear their pre-used flip flops. Not healthy.

• Guest (5/5): Above noted. - Location was great When we booked the listing was not super clear about facilities. Reading the listing it seemed like our two rooms will share a bathroom but actually the toilet was shared with three rooms and showers were shared with about 6-7 rooms, our rooms were in basement and was musty and smell. I didn't feel that it was value for money. Not a place for families more of a place for single travelers or friends.

• regine (7/5): Attention à l'isolement de cette maison - Maison bien équipée. En extérieur il y a une terrasse, un barbecue, un étendoir et un bain chaud. (Pas un jacuzzi car il n'y a pas de jets) Literie de bonne qualité. La maison est très isolée au bout de 7 kms de piste. Du coup nous n'avions pas prévu de quoi manger. Pour accéder à la chambre il faut regarder une vidéo reçue sur le site de Booking. C'est compliqué. Les salles de bain ne sont pas très accueillantes et pas très bien équipées : il n'y a pas de quoi poser ses affaires .

Nonostante la struttura sia isolata e raggiungile tramite strada sterrata, lo staff mette a disposizione un video molto utile per il self check-in. Colazione inclusa nel prezzo in bellissima sala comune con ampie vetrate con vista sulle campagne circostanti. Pulizia (soprattutto negli spazi comuni) e colazione migliorabili. Struttura isolata raggiungibile tramite strada sterrata.

• Guest (8/5): Lovely hotel in beautiful surrounds close to many natural sites, but located on a crater-filled road - The views here are really gorgeous, and it's just a few minutes drive from some spectacular sites. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and breakfast is tasty and filling. The Spanish hosts are very friendly and helpful. The geothermal-heated hot tub was also very nice. Honestly the main unadvertised drawback is that the road to get there seems to have gone through some sort of apocalyptic world war - it's more craters than road.

La migliore colazione e il migliore staff nel corso dei nostri 12 giorni in Islanda. Struttura poco manutenuta e valorizzata. I luoghi comuni non particolarmente puliti, le mura esterne e interne decadenti. Con poca attenzione in più potrebbe diventare una struttura top.

• Ester (10/5): Consigliatissimo - La calda accoglienza di Ignazio, la cucina in comune, la hot tub esterna, la posizione comoda alle attrazioni turistiche, la colazione (buonissima!) e la vista dalla terrazza.

Accogliente sala conviviale dove viene distribuita la colazione. La struttura è gestita da 3 ragazzi spagnoli, molto disponibili a dare informazioni e suggerimenti. Tipica abitazione islandese. Strada sterrata accidentata di alcuni km. per raggiungere la struttura. Bagni e docce in comune. All'interno della struttura i gestori vogliono che si vada senza scarpe.
• Antoine (5/5): - Le petit déjeuner est bon et correct et le jacuzzi permet de se relaxer. La chambre est correcte mais étant donné qu’elle est au sous-sol, elle est très humide. De plus, pas beaucoup d’équipements (ex : rien pour accrocher ses vêtements). De plus, les douches du sous-sol nous donnait l’impression d’être au camping. Clairement trop cher pour ce que c’est.

Camera generosa e spazi in comune (bagni, docce, sala colazione). Ignacio, il gestore, molto correse e disponibile. Molto buona la colazione Alcune cosine da sistemare (una serratura non funzionante, una doccia fuori uso, la stradina privata che conduce all'alloggio con diverse buche)

Simpatica la cucina professionale condivisa tra gli ospiti per prepararsi i pranzi e le cene. La colazione invece è fornita dalla struttura. Il bagno è condiviso tra diverse camere, ma per le docce si può sfruttare lo spogliatoio dell'hot pot. Complessivamente ha più che soddisfatto le aspettative. Attenzione che nelle recensioni più datate si parla di un servizio di ristorazione non più presente. Nulla in particolare

• Aurélien (9/5): Hors du temps - L emplacement est parfait au milieu de nul part. Le fait aussi de profiter du hote tube devant le paysage. Le petit déjeuner est simple mais parfait. Si vous voulez cuisinez vous même pensez à faire vos courses bien avant votre arrivée. Il n y a aucun magasin à 25 km à la ronde.
