Guest Reviews
- Quinton (7/5): Pleasant stay - Lovely cottage very central and quiet with good off street parking - the garden is fully enclosed so it was great for the dogs the outdoor spaces were comfortable and user friendly whilst the cottage looked great on the photos it's in dire need of general maintenance and an upgrade including linen and pillows - there were also no pillow and mattress protectors on the beds which for most people is a basic hospitality rule the cottage lacks a personal touch and it's clear that the owner is absent or not involved - generally a pleasant stay but with a little personal involvement from the owner it could have been very much better.

- Anne-catherine (5/5): Good location but in need of renovations - upgrade for the price - The location is great
Nice lay out
Probably very nice in summer
Dog friendly Not a good place for winter - freezing cold. No electric blanket. Buy wood before coming.
The bath did not function unfortunately- it drained even with the plug.
There is no functioning light on the bedside table in one room.
- Seamus (10/5): We loved our stay. - The cottage is much larger than anticipated and ideally situated to explore the area on foot. It has all the amenities for a comfortable getaway. Nothing !
- Warneke (8/5): - Simple plan works Gates and keys!!
- Guest (8/5): A wonderful relaxing weekend away for a family of three and two dogs. - We enjoyed that it was dog friendly. The fireplace was wonderful for the chilly winter evenings and the location was perfect! There was nothing we didn’t like!
- Gerda (8/5): -
- Arnold (6/5): Pleasant - The place was situated near restaurants and shops so that was a huge plus, we also loved the fireplace since it was really cold in the weekend we were there The fact that the bedrooms didnt have a electric blanket or at least enough blankets for the beds and the one bathroom mat was soaked. We always have coffee, tea, sugar and milk at self catering facilities but there was none, there was leftover coffee in a cupboard but it looked stale so we had to buy our own stuff
- Mischa (10/5): Stunning Cottage in the heart of Riebeek-Kasteel - Lovely cottage, well located and comfortable. Has a fireplace which came in super handy on the cold nights.
- Roy (8/5): Very good -
- Elricke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thinus (8/5): Very good - The property is advertised as pet friendly and we loved that the property is properly fenced-in. The location is also good, with most restaurants and shops within a short walking distance from the house. The bbq grill was dirty from the previous guests who stayed and braaid there.
- Charl (8/5): Very good -
- Jacqui (9/5): Would definitely recommend this beautiful cottage where we felt very secure and comfortable - Exceptionally clean, well equipped and comfortable. Very secure garden for our dogs and quiet area. Had a great. Little counter top oven bit a microwave would have been convenient
- Putter (8/5): Very good - Absolutely fantastic stay and needed for nothing. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable however the access process was an awful experience everytime we left or arrived back. An automated gate is definitely required.
- Adele (8/5): Very good -
- Shelly (10/5): Lovely location, quiet and peaceful, very neat and tidy. We enjoyed our stay immensely. - Location was excellent. The owner supplied a lot of extra things i.e. baby high chair etc. More than enough toilet rolls. Ceiling fans in all the rooms (kitchen, lounge and bedrooms). Sitting in the garden was very quiet and peaceful even though the cottage is within walking distance from the town. The only thing I would suggest is a cupboard for hanging clothes in the main bedroom. The container of handwash in the on suite bathroom was empty. The other bathroom did not have any.
- Schalk (5/5): Passable -
- Tessa (10/5): Really clean and comfortable - Just perfect Battled to open the lock on the little gate, but eventually got the hang of it :)
- Tony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Juan (10/5): Most pleasant stay and will be my go to place from now on. - What a nice place, need nothing more, we were two couples and everything was available, cannot ask for anything more! Absolutely nothing!
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Murray (10/5): Neat cottage in perfect location to explore Riebeeck Kasteel centre - In the perfect location and in perfect condition
