Guest Reviews
- Mike (8/5): Great place highly recommended - Location is perfect and the house internally is beautiful - thank you! Couldn't find cutlery - but staying in Padstow mostly ate out anyway
- Diane (8/5): Overall an absolutely gorgeous holiday home and lovely part of Cornwall - Generally the house is very clean.
Kitchen facilities are excellent and everything clean and ready to use for cooking/eating with confidence.
Heating easy to use. Good size rooms and appearance and decoration very attractive.
Love that you can see the sea from the back garden.
Bed mattresses very soft (could be good or bad according to your point of view, appreciate you cannot please everybody). Linen beautiful and fresh. Towels fluffy and soft (thank you) and plenty of them.
Enough loo roll, dishwasher tablets and washing machine tabs provided for our stay. Few herbs, flour etc left in kitchen cupboard- useful and so much better than having to buy them for short stay.
Loved having Sky available (as not something we have chosen to have at home).
We enjoyed our stay there.
Adored the walk (in our case) along the Camel trail to Wadebridge. Wonderful lunch at Tims Place. Went by bus to Newquay (town ok, beach lovely but bus ride on top deck incredible with sea and country views. Being very picky - the sofa still looks good but has perhaps sagged over time and is not now comfortable. After walking all day, an evening in was what we were looking forward to, so disappointed with this.
We didnt report it as it didnt affect our short stay - no bulb in one of the lounge ceiling lights (however plenty of table lamps that made the front room cosy and therefore sufficient light provided).
The ensuite extractor fan in the ceiling appears to have been removed (ugly to look at although covered by a grid) and i wasnt aware of the steam being removed in any other way.
Cobwebs on wall above bedside tables in both double rooms
We came by bus, would have been so much easier to get to house in first place if advised to get off at tesco and follow car route down (we didnt do this as had no idea how far it would be to walk and thought it would be quicker by going down to bus station near town). This meant we had to walk up to the house (do-able) but such hills especially when carrying/wheeling luggage). The Tesco route would have taken around 10 mins and all down hill. Please bear in mind some of us use public transport or are happy to walk.
There really is no where down in Padstow to shop for essentials other than a small Spar shop (as far as we are aware), so advice re this and how to get to Tesco in the information book would have been useful.
