• Gary (10/5): No thorns in this Cactus! Great Stay :P - We stayed at Cactusberry in March. The location was perfect — ideal to explore the city and nearby surroundings. Secure car parking puts mind at ease, and there was an immediate feeling that we could properly switch off and feel at home. House is beautiful - has real charm. Rooms spotlessly clean, beds deliciously comfortable. Top that with a decent shower. Dorian, who runs the place, is a wealth of local knowledge and refreshingly honest in his advice — whether it’s where to go, where to avoid, or how best to plan your day in Cape Town. We were late back to the house after a few tours but a couple of quirky local cafes, bars and restaurants were in close walking distance - well handy. Other than that, breakfast hit the spot and we were particularly grateful for the available supplies of water, wine and snacks when we came in late from a night on the tiles! Nothing :)

Er gab uns stets gute Tipps, half uns immer aus und war ein toller Berater während dieser Tage. Auch im Krankheitsfall waren er und sein Personal wirklich sehr hilfsbereit und unglaublich nett. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, wenn wir wieder nach Kapstadt fahren sollten.

Das gesamte Personal ist unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Dorian ist immer in der Nähe und unterstützt mit zahlreichen Tipps und Empfehlungen. Man merkt dass er dir Stadt liebt und all sein Wissen gerne teilt. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und können die Cactusberry Lodge auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Das Frühstück ist lecker und ausreichend, sehr herzliches Personal. Die Gegend ist sehr sicher, man hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt.

Der Gastgeber ist sehr hilfsbereit und beantwortet gerne aufkommende Fragen und gibt Tipps. Beim Willkommensdrink erfährt man gleich die wichtigsten Dinge über die Stadt. Das Frühstück ist ausreichend und man kommt den Wünschen der Gäste nach. Auch das Lagern unserer Koffer nach dem Auschecken, um dann gepäckbefreit noch etwas vor dem Flug die Stadt zu erkunden, war überhaupt kein Problem. Eine sehr empfehlenswerte Übernachtungsmöglichkeit! ./.

• Karin (10/5): - Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in der Cactusberry Lodge in Kapstadt und würden dieser Unterkunft jederzeit die volle Punktzahl geben. Die Lodge war sehr komfortabel, die Betten äußerst bequem und besonders angenehm war der tägliche Service: Handtücher wurden jeden Tag gewechselt und die Betten liebevoll gemacht. Das Frühstück war außergewöhnlich sauber, frisch und sehr hochwertig. Besonders positiv fanden wir, dass man jeden Morgen individuell äußern konnte, was man gerne frühstücken möchte – ein Service, den man so nicht überall findet. Das gesamte Personal war durchweg freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Ein ganz besonderes Lob geht an den Manager Dorian: Wir hatten ein sehr herzliches und persönliches Verhältnis zu ihm. Als unsere Tochter ihr Handy in einem Uber verloren hatte, hat er sich sofort darum gekümmert, den Fahrer ausfindig zu machen. Dank seines großen Engagements hat unsere Tochter ihr Handy tatsächlich zurückbekommen – das war absolut nicht selbstverständlich und hat uns sehr beeindruckt. Außerdem waren die Parkplatzmöglichkeiten direkt vor dem Haus hervorragend, was den Aufenthalt zusätzlich sehr entspannt gemacht hat. Wir haben uns rundum wohl und bestens betreut gefühlt und würden die Cactusberry Lodge jederzeit wieder buchen. Eine fantastische Unterkunft in Kapstadt, die wir uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank für diese großartige Erfahrung!

Dorian ist ein sehr umsichtiger Chef und hat die perfekten Ideen und Hinweise für Unternehmungen.

• Manfred Stadler (10/5): Hilfsbereiter Gastgeber und schöne Unterkunft - Dorian ist ein hervorragender Gastgeber und bietet wunderbare Tipps für einen schönen Urlaub. Das Zimmer war geräumig (free upgrade) und sauber, einzig die Stufe ins Bad war nächtens etwas hoch. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und sehr schmackhaft und vom Personal mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Die Gegend ist tagsüber sicher und abends brachte uns Uber sicher bis zum Gartentor. Danke für den wunderbaren Aufenthalt! Heizen mit Klimaanlage ist etwas laut, aber das ist jammern auf hohem Niveau.

He gave useful advice and insights about the city and surroundings. The room was spotlessly clean and the beds were so comfy. We could enjoy delicious breakfast (those pancakes!) delivered by an always friendly and smiling staff. Close to all the interesting spots but in a calm and safe neighborhood. Highly recommended!
• Patrick (10/5): Wunderschöne Unterkunft - Wir wurden mit den Worten empfangen: „Das ist kein Hotel, das ist ein Zuhause! Also fühlt euch wie zu Hause!“ Und das haben wir gemacht. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und wunderschön eingerichtet. Das Frühstück ist toll: Buffet und frisch zubereitete Eier oder Pfannkuchen, je nach Wunsch. Dorian ist ein sehr toller Gastgeber, der dafür sorgt, dass der Aufenthalt in Kapstadt unvergessen bleibt. Morgens beim Frühstück bespricht er mit seinen Gästen, was man je nach Wetterlage am besten machen könnte und abends erkundigt er sich, wie der Tag war. Wir möchten auf jeden Fall nochmal zurückkommen.

Dorian and his staff are lovely and very flexible. Wifi was not always stable. We stayed in winter time and the dining and living rooms were a bit chilly.

Just been freshly painted. Linen and pillows were good quality and most comfortable bed.Decor was quaint, breakfast was full English with nice outdoor sitting area. • Hector (10/5): Excellent guesthouse in central Cape Town with the best hosts in the business. - The property is very well located in the Centre of town, a 10 min walk from the restaurants and bars of Kloof Street and a 12 min drive to the beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton. The rooms are a great size and very clean, and come at a very reasonable price. By far the greatest attraction of staying in Cactusberry are Dorian and Kieran - absolute top lads who really know their stuff when it comes to Cape Town recs and will make sure you get the best of the city. The breakfasts are also excellent! A pool would be the icing on the cake.

Dorian and his team continue to provide exceptional service and make you feel right at home. The lodge’s location is perfect—peaceful yet close to all the best attractions in Cape Town. The rooms are always spotless, spacious, and comfortable, with the added bonus of stunning views. I particularly love the cozy atmosphere and the delicious breakfast each morning. What really makes Cactusberry Lodge stand out, though, is the warmth and friendliness of the staff. They go above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need, and their local knowledge always helps make my stay even more enjoyable. Also they give good advice for travelling and made you day. Wonderful breakfast. In hotel you also can find drinks and snacks. The rooms are big, clean with a minimal country style and nice furniture.
