Guest Reviews
- Eve (9/5): Overall fantastic place to stay, definitely would recommend this! - Was a really spacious beautiful place to stay with a wonderful location. The toilet was immaculate and we really enjoyed the ambiance of the room. Was a bonus we had a great kitchen, and washing machine to use also. The host was very interactive and helpful, always making sure we had help whenever needed with prompt responses. Perhaps the bed was too hard for my liking with the pillows being huge also. Some people like a firmer bed so it was just a personal preference.
- Shifat (10/5): - Huge room. A lot of natural light. Comes with a balcony. Situated in a heritage building. Has been renovated to modernise facilities while keeping the architecture the same. There was a kitchen and the terrace right above for us to use. A fridge was there with all the utensils required to eat and cook. We were granted early check in as we reached Kathmandu very early in the morning. 5 minutes walk to Patan Darbar Square. Situated right opposite a local restaurant that serves delicious food.
- Florin (4/5): - Friendly owner/staff and location is not far from Durbar Square. Quite spacious rooms and a shared kitchen possible. Worst mattress i have ever had, completely worn out, felt like sleeping on stone. Even though location is not direction street one would think its quieter but the balcony which could have been a nice place to chill is directly in front of another house. So no alarm needed as one neighbour starts watching TV at 6 o clock in the morning with the volume so loud that the whole street can hear it. If that didn’t wake you up then surely the other neighbour who at 8 o clock starts ringing his ceremonial bell everyday for prayer 5-10 minutes non stop. I mean the host doesn’t have any influence of the noise around but keep that in mind if you have a light sleep. Though it would be recommendable for the host to change the mattress as this one is over the years.

- Angela (10/5): Comfortable stay in a quiet courtyard in Patan - We stayed here for two nights. It’s a comfortable and spacious apartment with everything we needed, including a private water tank, electric kettle, and heater, just to name a few. The location is quiet, in a small courtyard in Patan.
It was great that our laundry could be done, and when we asked for an extra blanket, it was no problem at all. Communication was clear and easy. We would happily stay here again. Thank you, Prasanna.
- capers (10/5): - A quiet place to stay in lovely Patan.
- Merlet (8/5): - Nice place, owner is very helpful, good equipments. Placed near Patan Durbar square and the city life.
- Swer (9/5): - Thr host, the location, fully immerse with the community. Heart of patan. Staircase, hot water bathing,
- Enora (10/5): Formidable !
- Andrew (9/5): Excellent stay with local feel and very accommodating owners who were very helpful - So many good things to comment on....(1) the owners are very accommodating in addressing any needs or questions. For instance, was able to get an iron for my work clothes; for a very reasonable price, they cooked a home made traditional and nutritious Nepali dinner that I had in the flat in the evenings, was able to get clothes washed. (2) Location, location - this is in the traditional area of Patan, in a neighborhood of local people, so you get the feel of Kathmandu living. There are a lot of great places to walk and explore - not just the Patan Durbar square, but the Golden temple, Pimbahal Pokhari, Shree Bagalamukhi Temple, Patan Dhoka. A large department store (Bhatbhateni) and mall (Labim) is within walking distance. (3) Shared kitchen was great to make breakfast in the morning before going out. (4) terrace to sit in the sun or just relax
- Limbu (8/5): Very good -
- Constantin (9/5): Tasteful, very clean room with full facilities in the house - Difficulties arise from time to time - that's part and parcel of the best hotels. How they are dealt with is crucial. Our host was available at all times - even on his public holiday. The handling and problem-solving skills were impeccable, courteous and highly professional. Thank you very much, we would love to come back!
- Andrei (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and comfortable room, nice interior, common kitchen and terrace upstairs, fast WiFi, friendly and helpful hosts
- Nicola (9/5): A gem of a place for independent travellers. - The property is tucked away in a lively part of Patan. A little tricky to find, but the friendly staff were easily available to contact and provide directions. Less than 5 minutes walk to many interesting cultural and historical places, including Patan Durbar Square. The apartment is well set up for tea making and even getting some work done at the desk.
- Morgane (10/5): Best place to stay in Patan, this apartment will meet all your needs ! I will come back - The contact with owner, the location and the cleanliness of the room & batroom
- Daniela (10/5): Exceptional - The property was so spacious and clean, lots of natural light and Pabitra was so wonderful when doing the check in and check out. I would come back any time!
- Marina (8/5): I would live here if I could. - Lovely, light, safe apartment with two different locked entrances, plenty of windows and light, kitchen is upstairs with an outside terrace. The balcony is good for an outside break, or to get some sun and watch the birds and cats. I loved the futon bed, the bamboo coathanger for clothes, the large floor space, the large water bottle, the fan was perfect, the international plug adaptor was really helpful . Traditional Newari courtyard where neighbours have coexisted through the generations, so being considerate, friendly and respectful was a pleasure and privilege for me.
Very, very, very good food next door and good hot/iced coffees and amazing lemon mint sodas across the road...excellent street food everywhere.
The hosts are very, very lovely- they are in another apartment but very close, and are happy to help/ assist in a way that is unobtrusive and respectful. Situated on a well travelled, ancient Patan artery, just 3 minutes from the square in one direction, a couple of minutes to a street bazaar in another, a couple of minutes to Newari shopping in another. I love Patan so I am biased, but if you like this unique, beautiful, seminal area as much as I do then this is a place to seriously consider. Nothing.
- Bhumi (9/5): Superb -
- Nigel (10/5): Clean apartment, great location with wonderful hosts - The apartment is newly renovated and very clean. It is in a fantastic location for easily accessing the main square and other parts of Patan. But the best part of our stay were the hosts. Pabitra and her mother were so helpful and kind. Pabitra works in heritage and when we first arrived she showed us around and explained the different buildings and temples. I was also having some health issues and she went to the local pharmacy and grabbed some supplies for us. There is also a new kitchen upstairs and access to the roof.
