- NORIHITO (6/5): - 館内は清潔で花を綺麗に生けてました チェックアウトの際、混んでて番号札で順番待ちしていたが、忘れられて、言いに行くまで気づかれませんでした。
- Mark (10/5): Excellent! - Staff who served us is very courteous and kind. The only thing not good for us is rainy and windy weather. Other than that, everything we experienced was more than excellent!

- Dhruv (10/5): Highly recommended for couples! - Pros: Beautiful rooms, property and amazing staff. The private Onsen was just spectacular with a really nice view. A must-do for couples of all ages!
Cons: A little away from the town center, so takes about 10 minutes by walk, though they do offer a free shuttle at any time you need.
- Eric (3/5): Disappointing - The breakfast was wonderful and the town of Arima Onsen is beautiful. We were tricked by bookings.com, told we made a reservation that included dinner and breakfast for nearly $800US. The Hotel told us we got “no dinner or breakfast” - this wasn’t Choryaku’s fault, but they were inflexible and unsympathetic. We got screwed by booking.com’s deception, but in the end we would never have made a reservation this expensive if we hadn’t thought it would include the fancy meals they offered. It was the biggest splurge of our vacation and ended up being so disappointing. For $100 extra they managed to get us the breakfast… which was amazing. The soaking pools are pretty great but you can find many other onsen that won’t cost $900. The staff seem like they are dying to please you and act over-the-top subservient, but in reality they are quite pushy and bossy, they just do it with a smile. Perhaps this is one of those places that would rather not have westerners visit? That’s fine, I respect that… but then make it more clear, or don’t advertise to Americans. My overall lesson is that I will definitely not use bookingdotcom in the future. Both my family and Choraku are the victims, in this case.

- Ong (10/5): Exceptional - Staff were very hospitable
- Choa (9/5): Superb -
- Yimeng (8/5): Good experience - Good view from the hotel, very close to train station, pick up from Hotel were always fast Price is a bit high. Would be helpful if staff could speak better English
- Yuhui (1/5): Good onsen but arrogant poor service. international travellers are not welcome - typical Japanese onsen resort. You can enjoy both communal and private bath. The charge on the booking.com doesn’t cover any catering service! However the reception asked me about food allergies without telling me I should reserve dinner in advance. I was told no meals can be offered when check in. Had my dinner in the town when it was raining. To make things even more ridiculous, the hotel staff felt quite weird when seeing us can’t have breakfast in the hotel. A total disappointment!
- Chase (9/5): The Onsen experience here has been truly excellent. - I reserved a room with half-board accommodations, and I must say that the fine dining experience has been exceptionally outstanding. Furthermore, the breakfast provided is also of exceptional quality. I appreciate their dedication to selecting locally sourced ingredients to craft their cuisine. It's worth noting that the breakfast package does not include coffee, and the expense of 1500 yen for two cups of instant coffee is rather steep.
- Wiiwanwan (10/5): A very good place for onsen vacation. - Everything was wonderful. I got the best experience ever in Japan. The room was so nice with good view, living area, powder room. All tge staffs were really nice too. I'll recommend this to my friends and family when I think about arima onsen.
- Xia (9/5): Great place for a fairly good price! - The dinner and breakfast that came with the reservation was very filling.
Bedroom was amazing and the hot springs were a bliss to enter. Note that there are no private hot springs, but the open hot springs are separated by gender (and switch on a daily basis for customers to try the different styles of hot springs).
Staff was generally very accommodating and I have very little complaints. I found that English is not a strong forte for most staffs here, so speaking Japanese/Chinese on a daily conversation level is incredibly helpful. Google translate is your best friend otherwise. I have a decent Japanese speaking background, so it was manageable for me.
Not a complete issue but just something to note and be prepared for.
- Nga (9/5): Superb - The staff are nice and helpful. My family and I are really enjoy the trip.
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arisa (9/5): Great hotel - A great choice for family and partner. I love this hotel. The only thing was the time for wake up and breakfast was too early for my lifestyle but it was great. And the meat for sukiyaki was too thick.
- Leung (10/5): Exceptional -
